Story
Heinz is a super sweet, loving puppy. He is fully of energy in spurts and takes several regular naps throughout the day. He is on a night sleep schedule and sleeps through the night from 9.30pm-6.30am. Heinz is 13 weeks old and has been socialized as far as the vet recommendation allows - at Lowe’s, Home Depot, and has met many neighbors and family members - including a wide age range of children. He has been with a puppy sitter before and went on walks with other puppies during that time. He has seen a lot of neighborhood dogs, but not met them up close. We have taken him to weekly training sessions and he knows “sit”, “down”, “come”, and “leave it/off”. We are working on “quiet”, “place”, and “heel”. He stays in his commands until we say, “break” - including before he has food/water. He is truly the sweetest and best puppy. I know he is going to grow into the most loving and loyal companion. I want to find his forever home with an equally loving and affectionate family.

Story
Hello, my name is Muffin! I recently needed to be returned and I`m looking for my new forever home. I do not do well with other animals so I should be the only pet in my new home. I display some guarding behaviors when I am behind a barrier. Other than those two things most of my other behaviors seem to be what should be expected from a German Shepherd. I would most likely do best in a quiet home with adults only. Please keep checking my profile for updates as the staff gets to know me better! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2022 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $7.00. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$5.00)Leash and collar included

Story
We are looking to rehome our 3-year-old German Shepherd mix. He is great with other dogs and most children, a good hiking buddy, a loyal protector, and eager to please. He has been a great dog, but we need to go back to having one dog for a multitude of reasons. He would do best in a home where he has a fence to roam and/or can be walked a lot (preferably for 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week). He is up to date with shots. And, he has been through a few months of a basic training class. He's probably best in a home with children 4 and up. If you can give him a good home, we're willing to drive him to you (we're praying for a good home for him). He's a great buddy!!

Story
Hello, my name is Apollo! My name suits me well...`Apollo` means destroyer! Have you seen this hunky figure? I destroy snacks like it is nobody`s business. Apollo was a God. Same. Just look at me...the wind in my hair...my handsome face warmed by the sun...I could totally be a god. Apollo was the god of lots of different things...poetry, music, prophecy, truth, sun and light. I could be a poet. `My name is Apollo, I`m a good boy-o, and I like to run all around.` Music? Pfft. Have you heard me sing...angelic! I am all things sun, all things light, the best soul you could find. And my truth? My truth is that I know I am not the easiest dog to own. My breed gives me quirks that are hard to handle sometimes. I`m strong, protective, I don`t do super great with strangers...but I`m also loyal, fun, and sweet. I only want a home with adults, and only ones who understand and have previously owned my breed. I love to play with other dogs and tossing around new toys. I would adore a fenced yard of my own so I could run around and play. My truth is that I know I am a good dog...I just need the family who can see it too. Is it you? Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
I've had Kingston since he was 11 weeks old. Him and my other dog(American Staffordshire terrier), started having issues when he was 4 months old and only escalated as he got older. We tried getting him neutered but it didn't help. They have a few severe fights resulting in Kingston needing surgery and drains. Since then they have been separated and we've gotten a trainer involved. A year later they still don't get along. It's not fair that they have to stay in their kennels all the time. Kingston is dog reactive as a result of this and would be best in a home with little chaos, no dogs, no children, fenced in yard. He is able to goto the groomer and he has been boarded as well with no issues. He is currently being trained on a herm-sprenger collar. We are working on socialization but it is a slow process. He is a very sweet boy and loves to play in the right environment. He requires very slow introductions. Very good motivated.

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Sandy - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Sandy after Sandy Olsson from Grease. My vocals might not be as good but when I get excited I got the dance moves down, just like Sandy. I'm dreaming of 'Summer Nights' and winter mornings in a home of my own. No more 'Tears On My Pillow' now that I've found a family to love me and cuddle with me and give me belly rubs and oh yeah, some tasty treats too, please! I'm about 2 years old and that perfect medium size of 38lbs. An active gal I am and looking for an active family to go on adventures. 'We Go Together' like two peas in a pod! 'You're The One That I Want' to spend my days having the time of our lives. Then back home for my favoritest time, yep you guessed it, snuggletime!!! With some daily exercise, I should do well in a home in town, out in the country or anywhere in between. Are you looking for that soul mate that is happy doing anything as long as we can do it together? Look no further, I could be your gal!!!!
