Meet Ghost!
Ghost is a beautiful young dog looking for his forever home. Adopted as a 3-month-old puppy in March, this sweet boy has grown into a happy, affectionate, and well-mannered companion. Now 11 months old, Ghost is ready for a fresh start with a family who can give him the love, time, and stability he deserves.
Ghost is a medium-energy dog who does a great job matching the energy of the dogs he’s around. He can be playful and active when it’s time for fun, but he’s also content to relax and cuddle. He is fully potty trained, social, and an all-around good boy. Ghost gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is good with kids, though older children are recommended since his enthusiastic play could accidentally knock over smaller ones.
Ghost is currently living with cats and does well with them, though he is very interested and curious. If a cat runs from him, he may try to chase, so he would do best in a home with confident, dog-savvy cats and may not be the best match for a timid or fearful cat.
This handsome boy is often admired for his looks. He has a German Shepherd build and features, paired with a soft white-golden coat reminiscent of a Labrador or Great Pyrenees. His previous owners named him Ghost after Jon Snow’s direwolf in Game of Thrones, and the name suits him perfectly.
Ghost is smart, eager to please, and very treat-motivated. He already knows several commands, including sit, stay, down/lay down, shake, come, go potty, and leave it. He walks beautifully on a leash and barely barks, making him a calm and reliable companion. He would be a wonderful dog for someone who enjoys training and spending time with a loyal, affectionate pup. He will make someone an awesome dog.
Outside, Ghost enjoys walks, hikes, yard time, and exploring. He does well with regular activity but doesn’t require nonstop exercise. Inside, he is extremely cuddly and loves to snuggle up with his people.
When it comes to crating, Ghost isn’t a big fan of the crate, but he is making progress and improving with patience and consistency. He would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods, such as with someone who works from home, is retired, or has a flexible schedule.
Ghost has already shown so much courage and heart. He deserves a loving home where he can grow, learn, and finally feel secure. Could that home be yours?
