Story
Cute as a bug in a rug! Phoenix is a beautiful 6-month-old Golden Retriever mix. She’s great with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. Phoenix is a sweetheart, charming everyone she meets. It’s been fun watching her come out of her shell; to learn how to chase a ball, go up the stairs, exploring outdoors, and gain some confidence around people. She needs to know that she’s safe with a gentle and positive approach to training her well. She will need training and lots of exercise. Without it, she’ll be unhappy. She does chew when she’s not kept busy, so bully sticks, nerf toys and kongs keep her occupied. A sand pool for her to dig in could get some energy out, along with a daily commitment to a longish walks. She wants to be with her people, so a stay-at-home parent would be ideal. Snuggling is her favorite desire. She loves being outside, especially with a baby pool to cool off her gorgeous golden red coat. She should be a great adventure dog. With her fur coat, the snow will be fun to play in. The vet expects that she’ll be 50ish pounds. Phoenix is crate-trained at night, during meals, and when we are out of the house. She sits well and is fully housebroken unless she gets scared. If you’ve never had a Golden, why not research this breed, to see if this sweet girl will be a good match. She is a special dog, looking for a special furever person or family. From her sending rescue... they said she lives in a foster home with some dogs and 12 cats. She’s completely taken with cats and gets all along great with her dog foster pals.  Put in an application at eapl.com Her adoption fee is $375September 7, 2024, 2:55 pm

Story
Mandy is a high octane girl who is looking for an equally active BFF. If your day is filled with non-stop activity you have met your match. Mandy’s day often starts with an hour-long romp around our half-acre yard. This can be followed by a game of frisbee. A nap in the grass or on our cool tile floor follows. She loves playing in a kiddie pool full of water or racing through the sprinklers. Mandy has so much potential. She is happy and loves belly rubs. She would benefit from an experienced and confident owner, however, since she can be spooked by bikes, cars, noises, and other dogs. Who knows what her life was like before she came to us. She knows sit and down, but needs some gentle training to keep her enthusiasm on the ground and not launching herself skyward. We also think she would benefit from a home where she is the only dog since she can be possessive of her humans. A previous foster indicated she loves car rides and going on hikes. So, grab your energy drink and come check out this exceptional race car of a gal - perfect for all your adventures.  ##2008420##

Story
If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Asher is the puppy you want to have around! Asher is almost 4 months old (such a great age..old enough to start learning about the world around him and young enough to be an avid learner able to soak up new concepts easily with many, many active and healthy years ahead. At approximately 60 lbs when full-grown, Asher will be a perfect size for long hikes and backyard fun..and at day's end a spot on the couch or bed would be perfect for serious cuddling and lots of kisses. Asher is a gorgeous Golden Retriever (with a bit of Labrador Retriever in the mix for extra cuteness) with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular breed mixes for families and individuals searching for loving and loyal best friends. Asher is a stunning puppy that had a very tough start in life. Now that he's safe and sound, his gorgeous coat has become cottony-soft and shining with good health. His coloring is golden and gorgeous which is consistent with his Golden / Lab lineage. Asher will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths/brushing and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great protocols for hair care and longevity) to keep his coat cottony-soft and shining with excellent health. Asher's Texas rescuer had the following to say about this wonderful puppy... Asher entered a high-kill shelter close to death after being disposed of by his owner in the marshy field of a processing plant. His pitiful baby cries were heard and a kind employee rescued his tiny body from the muck. Asher was immediately brought to the hospital of the closest Texas shelter. After several weeks, Asher started to rally and won his battle as his health got better by the day. Today he is a happy, very healthy and loving Golden mix. Asher enjoys his time with his foster so much that he likes to join her just about everywhere she goes. It's so important to Asher to be a true best friend! His foster mom brags that this gorgeous guy is over the top sweet, so very smart and loves his people more than anything! Asher loves to stay close as he snuggles with his foster on the couch at day's end. He's a sensitive and very loving little guy who derives so much joy from his time spent with his people and his canine best friends. Asher is a healthy, silly puppy who will love a kind and respectful family with all his heart. He would also enjoy another gentle dog to play with.. and then lying in the sunshine together enjoying a beautiful day is just about perfect. Asher is an active, happy puppy who will have so much fun exploring and taking long hikes along Colorado trails. This baby is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Asher will jump for a car ride, a long hike or just a sociable stroll around neighborhood trails. Asher is an extremely affectionate and loving guy! We would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and kind dog. We'd hate to see Asher left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. We think he's too sensitive for that lifestyle. He's such an amazing puppy and just the right size and temperament to accompany his people just about anywhere a well-behaved pup is welcome..and would love every second of it. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Asher in a home where he'll get consistent mental stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement/force free training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Farfel's feels so strongly about a training opportunity for all dogs that we're unwilling to adopt to a family who's unwilling to give Asher this opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person positive reinforcement / force free trainers in your area. We're currently searching for a very loving and committed family for our wonderful Asher. Applications are being accepted for this super-loving and loyal best friend and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** Farfel's Rescue puts efforts into placing our dogs with families that are excellent matches. We do this through our Farfel's application found above or on farfels.com (never through rescue site apps as they don't provide enough information) If you're truly interested in adopting Asher, please be sure to fill out the Farfel's adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving guy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
