This man used Izzy as a tool of fear and control, threatening to hurt her in front of the children to silence them, and even assaulting their mother when she tried to protect her sweet pup. Thankfully, the mother bravely escaped and got her family to safety, with their abuser behind bars. Out of deep love for Izzy, she made the heartbreaking decision to rehome her so Izzy could have a chance at the peaceful, loving life she deserves. Izzy is now ready for the next chapter of her new life. Izzy has been in foster care in Houston, Texas for several months and is quite a remarkable pup. She is gentle, sweet, kind and has learned to trust and love humans. In her foster home, Izzy has flourished into the gentle, affectionate girl she was always meant to be. Bailey is a 2 yr old golden retriever mix, around 48lbs. Bailey is a happy go lucky boy who has the cutest ears and smile, and a sweet personality. He is on the smaller side of a medium dog and loves attention. He is incredibly smart and learns tricks and commands with just a few repetitions. He knows how to sit and shake and goes to his room (kennel) when asked. He loves to play with dogs or people and takes treats very gently. Once he’s done playing, he loves to cuddle and hang out on the couch. He would love a home with a backyard and another dog to play with (but the more the merrier!). His right paw has a slight limp due to an old injury, but he doesn’t let it slow him down! He chases cats in his foster home, so a dog-savvy cat if any, would be best. He is great with the toddler in his foster home, but he does jump when he gets excited, so older kids would be better. Bailey is housebroken and good on leash – the perfect dog for your family! All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel.

She is a friendly, 8-year-old, 79 lb Golden Retriever/Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home here in WA! Lady is a very sweet dog that walks well on leash and loves to go on adventures. Overall, she walks well on a leash, but she is a strong girl and will pull on the leash should she see something she’d like to check out. She already knows basic commands such as "sit" and "shake" and takes treats gently. Lady is very smart and a quick learner, which will make training a breeze! She would love a home with a yard where she can explore and lounge! Due to her size and strength, we are recommending kids over 10 years old. She can be dog selective, so her ideal home would be a one dog household where she can soak up all the love and attention from her people. Overall, Lady is an awesome dog with so many great qualities and would love to spend the rest of her days in a loving forever home rather than a commercial kennel. She will make a great adventure companion and wonderful addition to any lucky household. Lady is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.
