Story

Russ is such a sweet boy. He loves ALL the attention and has plenty of energy to do anything you ask of him.! That means as an energetic dog, he is not likely a great fit for those looking for a super calm dog. He is great with other dogs and kids. He is house trained fine but has chewed a kids toy here or there when left out. His worst habit is getting into trash when he’s bored. He is 4 years old, we have had had him 2.5 of those years. We love him dearly but he needs more time and exercise outside the house and yard than we are able to give. He is a snuggler and his absolute favorite thing is to chase a laser light. He is 50% poodle, 25% golden retriever, and 25% yellow lab, so he is not hypoallergenic. He takes a while to warm up, so he requires a patient owner who will work with him on manners, as he occasionally jumps, pulls on a leash, and has counter surfed when he feels ignored. He is a good boy, and I think these behaviors will mellow with more attention.

I am very happy, affectionate, and friendly. l was saved from the Korean dog meat farm where I was due to be slaughtered. I don’t know how I ended up there but I was so scared and I used to hear the cries from the other dogs as they were taken away. The activists came and saved us and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever. Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten. I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!
