Story
Meet Tortilla! This adorable 5-month-old mix is eager for his fresh start. He arrived to us with a broken leg, but he's healing well and is very excited about what his future holds! Hopefully plenty of playtime and hiking! Tortilla is looking for adopters who can help him learn about the world around him. He will need plenty of daily exercise, attention, and mental enrichment. We don't know how Tortilla is with other dogs or cats, so any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. He will likely do well with older kids who are comfortable around big, exuberant puppies. If you're ready to welcome home this carbo-loaded cutie pie, make an adoption appointment to meet Tortilla today! #playful #activelifestyle

Story
It's Miller Time! Meet our Miller! Miller is a Survivor with a capital S! Sweet Miller came to us with damage to his back knees, we can't be sure exactly what happened, but we know how to make it better from here. Despite a rough start in life, Miller is a fighter and his best life is now ahead of him. Miller may always have some challenges with his back legs; however he is scheduled for double knee surgery in July. Miller will need some special care during recovery, but his love for you will make it all worthwhile. Miller will be looking for a home and family that understands his limitations are secondary to his abilities and the love he has to give. Despite his rough start, this small golden boy is playful, loving, friendly and gets along well with his new foster brother. Are you the truly special person/family to give Miller the love and home he deserves? If you are interested in Miller, please apply.

Story
Looking for a trail buddy? No one better than our Burke! He even has a trail system named after him! Just kidding, but he is ready to be your partner on the trails. This handsome one year old golden retriever has just arrived in the PNW and we want to show him how spectacular a PNW summer can be! Burke has already been neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations and just needs his own loving family to show him how good life can be. Burke is working on his leash manners, house manners and learning basic commands at his fosters. Pacific Rim Rescue requires fenced yards for our large breed dogs.

Story
Quinn is our brave and stunning light golden rescue mama! Quinn is a 5 years young golden retriever, Quinn one of the lucky ones to be rescued from a being a commercial breeder mama, now safe from having to produce litter after litter of pups! As a Amish rescue mama, she is quickly learning that life as a beloved pet is a wonderful thing! She can be startled by loud sudden and mechanical noises - because they don't have those on an Amish farm. However, she is quickly becoming used to life in a loving home, already seeking out close comfort and affection of her foster family. Quinn loves to tuck her head under your shoulder and appreciates all the scritchers! And she absolutely loves her first toy ever, her baby lamp chop stuffie. Quinn is schedued for spay soon at our Veterinarian, but can go home sooner with a contract to ensure her spay either at our vets office in Kirkland. Quinn acts young for her age, and has the smaller build of her English cream relatives, and look at her gorgeous light, mostly white coat! She is an athetic gal, a fence of minimum 5' in height will be required to adopt Quinn.

Story
Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Pink! She is a loving and loyal 3 year old Golden Retriever who would be a great addition to the family. She was adopted as a puppy and has been with her owner who loves her, but is no longer able to give her the time and care she deserves after falling on some tough times (single adult household, long working hours). Pink is house trained and obedient (sit, lay down), and can learn more. She is sweet and loving and good with people, kids (even little ones), and playful with dogs (cats unknown). She is leash trained and can be trusted off-leash for fetch or generally around the house. Pink is at her best with regular exercise (running/fetch), daily walks, and not being left alone for more than 8 hrs. If left alone for long stretches and under exercised, understandably, she can be a little nervous and needy. She does not bark excessively. Pink has awesome potential and is a great family dog like a true Golden.
