Story
Animal Information: Ringo came to his current caretaker through a contact of his owner who was no longer able to care for him. He was living on a porch day and night. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had much formal training and can be a bit challenging to manage on leash, especially for someone using a wheelchair. At 3.5 years old and 65 lbs, Ringo is a strong, active dog who can show some leash reactivity due to insecurity and excitement. He would benefit greatly from a foster or adopter who is willing to provide structure, set clear boundaries, and continue working on his training. Despite these challenges, Ringo has a great temperament. During his evaluation, he showed himself to be a friendly, good-natured dog who simply needs consistency and guidance in his daily life. He currently lives with another dog and has experience living with children ages 5–13. Ringo is house-trained, comfortable in his crate, and enjoys meeting new people. With the right support, he has great potential to become a well-balanced and happy companion. Foster Profile:  Ringo is friendly with everyone he meets and has a big, happy personality that makes him a joy to be around. Playful, affectionate, and social, he loves being included in the fun and thrives on companionship. He’s crate trained and house broken, and he does best with structure and consistency. As a smart, energetic doodle, he’ll need an adopter who’s committed to continuing his training and setting firm, clear boundaries. Without guidance, he can become a bit rambunctious and challenging on leash, but with consistent leadership and exercise, he truly thrives. Ringo is looking for an active home who has prior dog experience that will provide both love and structure. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when her owners could no longer care for her. He joined the rescue and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 12, 2026, 3:49 pm

Story
Charlie is 8 years old and has a very sweet temperament. We had his DNA tested, and he is free of allergies and major genetic diseases. He is house-trained and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and young children. Both of them are also free from any behavior problems.Unfortunately, due to our busy schedule, we are no longer able to provide him with daily walks, and we feel he deserves a better quality of life.I hope someone will consider adopting both Sophie and Charlie. They are from the same litter and have been together since birth. They are both wonderful dogs—well-trained, loyal, affectionate, and sweet—and it would mean a lot to us if they could stay together.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Lady! She is a friendly, 8-year-old, 79 lb Golden Retriever/Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home here in WA! Lady is a very sweet dog that walks well on leash and loves to go on adventures. Overall, she walks well on a leash, but she is a strong girl and will pull on the leash should she see something she’d like to check out. She already knows basic commands such as "sit" and "shake" and takes treats gently. Lady is very smart and a quick learner, which will make training a breeze! She would love a home with a yard where she can explore and lounge! Due to her size and strength, we are recommending kids over 10 years old. She can be dog selective, so her ideal home would be a one dog household where she can soak up all the love and attention from her people. Overall, Lady is an awesome dog with so many great qualities and would love to spend the rest of her days in a loving forever home rather than a commercial kennel. She will make a great adventure companion and wonderful addition to any lucky household. Lady is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Binks! He is a 1 1/2-year-old, 50lb Golden Retriever/Pit Bull mix, who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is one big butterball of love! He is very sweet but is strong and can be bouncy and mouthy so he will need an adopter who is committed to working on his overall basic obedience skills with him. He is very smart, and food motivated and does well with training. He is generally well behaved, loves meeting new people and does well in a crate. He does well with other dogs, but mostly enjoys attention from his people. He loves to crawl and roll around in the grass and would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play and crawl. We are recommending no young children due to his bouncy nature right now. He is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Marvin! Marvin is a 2.5-year-old, 55lb Golden Retriever/Husky who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA after his owner could no longer care for him. He’s had a rough start, but this bright, goofy boy is ready for a fresh beginning and a forever home that will give him the love and consistency he deserves! Marvin is incredibly smart, eager to please, loves people and bonds quickly with his humans. True to his breeds, he’s a mix of playful and mellow: he can romp around like a puppy one minute, then settle down for a quiet nap by your side the next. He’s food motivated but surprisingly gentle when taking treats and not protective of his food. He’s also a pro at fetch and loves showing off his retrieving skills! Marvin is working on his confidence around other dogs. He can be wary and reactive at first, and with some dogs more than others. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home where he’s the only dog and with a patient adopter committed to continued positive training and slow introductions. As Marvin is still working through some reactivity around other dogs, he is not suited for busy city life or an apartment. We are looking for adopters that have a free-standing home and a fenced backyard for him. Some decompression time in a foster or forever home will do his nerves quite a bit of good and help nurture his calmer, confident side! He’s house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night beside your bed, and won’t stir until you do. Marvin does have some separation anxiety that his forever home should be prepared to work through, he thrives when he’s close to his people and in a calm, predictable environment. He would also do best in a home without cats. Marvin listens well to simple corrections like “hey” or “no,” especially when he’s tempted to sneak a peek at the countertop buffet. Above all ~ he’s a loving, affectionate companion who just wants to be near his people and be part of their world. Marvin has so much heart and potential ~ he just needs a home that can offer structure, patience, and a lot of love. He is not your typical ‘golden retriever’ despite his looks, and will need a rescue experienced family that can help him gain confidence and refine his training. In return, you’ll get a loyal, fun, and endlessly rewarding best friend! Marvin is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
