Story
Valo is one TALL drink of water with eyes you want to swim in.   His journey started as a stray running near a park.  He was scared and would not let anyone close to him.  Once trapped he was taken into the shelter hoping an owner would come.  Sadly that did not happen and after minimal progress in three weeks, putting him in jeopardy, we made space for him.  He was terrified of people, touch, the leash and would not take treats.  We assessed he observed dogs so placed him with a buddy pack.  He observed and started to follow.  Eventually he would take treats if dropped, then from hand.  He started to tolerate touch, accept affection and now seeks it.  He boops with his nose and is a goof.  He does well with people and dogs but does sometimes react insecurely so needs someone prepared to be patient, aware and help him continue gaining confidence through positive experiences.  He still has a ton of puppy energy but once burned off settles. He is great on leash with proper handling, despite his size. He loves adventure and does well at all of our adoption events. He did well when cat tested but while fostered with a cat did not.  The cat was sick and elderly so we could not further assess and had to pull him back to the facility where he resides now.  If you are not ready for a permanent companion but can make room for a goofy dog he would greatly benefit by a foster to help him grow more with one on one in a dedicated setting.  It would help us get to know him better and prepare for his future home. Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  NO offleash activities in unfenced areas for life. 'Carly' Great Pyrenees / Springer Spaniel X- female- 2 yrs old-70 lbsMeet Carly Hello everyone!! My name is Harley (personally I think they should have spelled it Harlie, but who listens to me?). I need you! I want you! Please come and meet me so I can show you how cute and irresistible I am! I am a Springer Spaniel and Great Pyrenees mix, and I have all the best qualities of both breeds--I don’t mean to brag, but honestly, I am a sweet-faced, lovable person with great energy, super stamina, and lots of brains, and I’m very affectionate towards family, including adults and kids over five. I'm also very good with chickens (come on, we all have our little preferences) and with other dogs. I'm about three years old and weigh 70 lbs. I love belly rubs and adore treats, which I take very gently. I am completely house-trained , spayed, and ready to come home with you, please!!! I will show you what true happiness is!! I will give you so much love and affection that your cup will be overflowing! I promise. Please, please give me a chance!!Our adoption fee through our rescue covers the dog being fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered, dewormed and flea treated. Story
We adopted Marshie from our neighbors, and she is two years old now, born January 12, 2021. She has been spayed, her shots are up to date, and she is house-trained, but not crate trained. She is very affectionate, she'll sleep/cuddle with you and give you a million kisses when she gets excited to see you. She needs an experienced owner who will understand the characteristics of her breed: she barks mainly during the night, to protect against potential predators. She can be protective, as she resource guards her toys, but she does not guard her food and is okay with being around others while eating. Our main concern is that she, sadly, bit someone in the past. Our house was under construction which was stressful for Marshie who wasn't used to the commotion & strangers being in her home. Following her instincts, she bit one of the workers, which didn't need stitches. She is only protective in her territory. Marshie needs a loving, understanding, & structured home where she can thrive.

Story
Bloomer is 4.5 years old with a dynamic personality, he is active and loves the outdoors but enjoys lounging all day after a morning walk. He enjoys playing ball, swimming, playing with squeaky stuffed animals and cuddling. He’s very sweet and affectionate. He loves belly rubs and is known for responding with a big grin. He has completed 1:1 advanced obedience training and off leash shock collar methods. We are seeking a new home for him as he doesn’t do well with small children. (He bit our 11 mo old baby after she grabbed/pinched his back). He’s very trainable but is uncomfortable around babies so it’s not the right environment for him. He is very motivated by praise and attention which makes it easy to work with him. He used to lunge at runners/ bikers before training but we had no issues after his training. He is a very smart dog who likes daily walks and the occasional hike. Although we have to rehome him we think he’s the sweetest dog and are heartbroken it won’t work out.

Story
Meet Igor! He was found skin and bones wandering around in the streets. He was taken in by an individual rescuer. He is currently in a temporary foster home in Texas but can be transported throughout the US or Canada. Igor is an amazing guardian dog who would love to have the job of protecting a farm/land, but also enjoys cuddles and having a family. He is the full package for a family searching for a great pyrenees to keep their property protected with a loyal pup!
