Story
**Must have an approved application to meet** Meet Tyberious! This handsome, nine-month-old pup came to us in November 2023 and is looking for a patient home that will continue teaching him that the world and new people are not so scary! There is reason to believe that Tyberious was not treated the kindest in his previous home and will need to go into a home where only positive reinforcement training is used and where the people in his home can provide a structured environment for him to continue building his confidence. In his time with us, Tyberious has been very neutral and curious about other animals. He pays no mind to the other dogs in the kennel and has been friendly with with the office cats he has met! He is a very smart and food-motivated dog and has made a lot of progress even with his basic training since coming to us. Ty currently knows 'sit' ,'down', 'off' and is working on 'leave it' and his leash manners. There is nothing he is not willing to work on as long as he is given a treat in return! Tyberious is an extremely goofy pup once he gets comfortable with you! He is an absolute cuddle bug once he has bonded with you and wants nothing more than to snuggle He is always ready to play a game of tug whether he is lounging around with you inside or hanging around outside. Tyberious loves exploring the outdoors and going on car rides as long as he has someone there to reassure him that everything is fine. He gravitates more toward the women he has met but with patience (and treats!) does warm up to men as long as he is provided the time to get to know them. Once he has all that puppy energy out, Tyberious settles well and enjoys having a chew or Kong to entertain himself with. Squeaky toys and stuffed toys are his absolute favorite to play with and he will keep himself endlessly entertained by tossing them around or playing fetch. All this big boy wants to do is find a home where he can grow into the wonderful dog staff knows him to be! If you are interested in visiting Tyberious and have an approved application, feel free to contact us about more information or a time to meet. Applications can be submitted online or in person here at the shelter if you have yet to have an application submitted. Feel free to share so we are able to find Tyberious a home best suited for this handsome boy!

Story
Thor is a handsome 80 pound, one year old boy (as of 1/02/24) and he is looking for a home and family to claim him as their own.  This boy was raised by a loving senior lady who was not able to allow he and his brother to be inside her small home.   After much soul searching, she knows that these two handsome boys need more interaction than she can give them and they would love to be inside the home being treated like family pets.  He is OK on a leash but could improve with some practice.  He is good with other dogs, cats and loves children.  What Thor needs is just a chance to be inside a home and cuddling on the sofa or a nice big dog bed on the floor for him to join the family.  He is not housebroken because he has never had the chance to be taught what being inside was like and then going outside.  Could someone help change his life and help him bask in the love and comforts of a family home!?  If you are interested, Thor is fully vetted and neutered and microchipped…then please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  You won’t regret it. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 29, 2024, 8:59 am

Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 29, 2024, 8:59 am

Story
Likeable Leo is a very handsome, one year old, 80 pound, Great Pyr boy that is crate trained and a ton of fun.  He loves to play with the other dogs in the fenced backyard and to wrestle and just enjoy the great outdoors.  Leo is so good with people, other dogs and will probably be fine with cats because he is really laidback and easy going.  You need to be sure you know about the Great Pyrenees breed and their unique personalities.  They are more reserved and like to be observers before they commit to being your friend.  Likeable Leo is losing his home because his elderly parents have had health issues and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping them to rehome all 5 of their dogs.  This boy is ready to go if you are and if you have a fenced yard.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you would like an application. Story
My name is Ocean and I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix girl that is on the smaller side of 70 pounds and I love being outdoors.   I am looking for a home with some land to run on and a family  that will let me be inside as well as outside.  I am housebroken, great with children and dogs and good on a leash.   If I want out of a chain link yard, I will make sure I find a way out.  The only fence that would completely keep me contained is a privacy fence or a six foot iron fence that I cannot climb.  I just being a free spirit and so I could see myself living in the Northeast especially where it is cold and maybe out in the country or woods where I can explore but willing to always come home. I am truly a loving and sweet girl that  you will never regret loving or adopting.  My current family adores me but their yard is small and I need more room to run and enjoy my Great Pyrenees habits of being an outdoorsy kind of breed.   If you are interested then please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   I am ready to find my final family to love with all my pretty and pure heart. February 29, 2024, 8:59 am

Story
My name is Chachi and I am a very handsome and loving Great Pyrenees boy that is 18 months old and only 98 pounds.  I am big but NOT HUGE!   You see me smiling?Well, I do this all the time because I am a happy dog and I want people to know that I am very friendly and ready to be petted.   I really do like all people and all dogs that I meet.  I really, really love children too!   They say that my breed requires a fenced yard and I have to say that is a really good idea.  I like spending time outside and you really don’t want to have to sit and watch me for safety reasons if you don’t have a secured fence.   So…. if you have a physical fenced yard then Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to speak with you.  I think that if you love BIG dogs that I am a rather handsome dude to consider.  Mud puddles might NOT be my friend but big snow falls and deep banks would make me really happy!  I could stay clean very easily.   I am almost housebroken, and crate trained.    I would like to be your inside cuddle/lovebug and maybe help you start the new year off to a nice white fluffy start!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP and ask all the questions you want about filling out an adoption form.

Story
Cova-Australian Shephard female, ~10-12 mo. (Feb. 2024) Email rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Cova came to Rescue when her owner passed away. The adult children took in the dogs but are overwhelmed with the numbers and need to help the dogs get into new homes. The asked the Rescue to help them. Cova is a sweet, beautiful female puppy, about 45# now. She is about 10-12 mo. old, we were told and full of love. She's used to playing with the children and living with other dogs. Cats are an unknown at this time. She's had to live a kennel life where she has been, so Cova will need help refining her housetraining and house manners. She is bred to be intelligent and a dog that needs a job, something to keep her mind and body sharp. She could very well be a candidate for agility. She will be an awesome hiking or running partner. A home with Australian Shepard experience would be given preference, all things considered. Cova's adoption fee is $450 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.
