Story
Milo was rescued from the state of Texas. I was living there at the time and brought him up to Maryland to live with my family during COVID. Was meant to be a family dog but quickly became my responsibility. My mom passed away early 2026 and Milo and I’s worlds have turned completely upside down with our being forced to move into an apartment. On top of it all, I am dealing with multiple long term disabilities making it that much more difficult to care for such a large dog on my own in this environment. Milo is a really sweet boy who deserves a loving home. He knows many different commands, such as “off” “stay” “sit” “down” “excuse me” “go” “go to your room” “go timeout”. He is really easy to train, as all he wants is to make his humans happy. He hates disappointing his humans.Serious inquiries only please. Access to plenty of outdoor time is a must. Experience with Great Pyrenees is preferred. Adoption fee is negotiable.

Story
This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I'm looking for the right home for my 1-year-old Great Pyrenees, Arlo.Arlo is a beautiful, intelligent, and loyal once he trusts you, but he has significant behavioral challenges with strangers and is not a good fit for a first-time dog owner. He has a history of aggression, and will need someone who is experienced with large guardian breeds and willing to commit to working with him through consistent training and management. This decision is heartbreaking. I love Arlo very much, but due to housing circumstances, I can no longer keep him, and I want to give him the best chance at a life with someone equipped to meet his needs rather than see him end up in a worse situation. If you have experience please reach out, I don’t want Arlo to be euthanized.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/wally2021/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi there – I'm Wally, a striking Great Pyrenees mix with a soft, fluffy coat and soulful eyes. I’m looking for a special home where I can truly shine. I didn't come to FOHA with a lot of background info, and it seems I may not have spent much time in a traditional home environment. That means things like TVs or loud noises can be a little overwhelming for me at first. I’m part of FOHA’s Diamond Dog program, which means I come with extra support to help my adopter set me up for success! I’d thrive with an experienced owner who understands the independent and protective nature of my breed and is committed to continuing my training and building trust over time. I need a single-dog home in a quiet, adult-only setting—preferably one with a fenced yard and no shared walls (so no apartments or condos, please). My ideal home will be patient, loving, and respectful of my space. HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I need to be the only dog in the home. I’ve shown some reactivity toward certain dogs and do best without canine roommates. HOW AM I WITH CATS: No cats for me, please. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: I need a home without children. Sudden movements and high activity levels can be stressful for me. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: I’m still learning! I may not know many formal commands yet, but I’m eager to bond with my people and would benefit from positive reinforcement training. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I am doing well with housebreaking, and I’m working on being comfortable in a crate. Like many dogs from less traditional backgrounds, structure and routine help me thrive. THINGS I LIKE: Butt scratches (I absolutely love them!) Spending time with my favorite people – especially my FOHA girlfriends and my “mom” Paula Exploring the outdoors – I love to roam and carry my food bowl around the yard Calm, predictable routines THINGS I DISLIKE: Loud noises and fast activity inside the home (like TVs or kids playing) Livestock – I have a strong prey drive and am not safe around farm animals Being crowded by other dogs – I prefer my space Living in busy environments like condos or apartments

Story
🐾 Meet Yasha: Professional Couch Lounger, Part-Time Security System 🐾 Yasha is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Yellow Lab mix with a heart of gold, impeccable manners, and a firm belief that personal space is optional when it comes to her favorite humans. At first glance, she may seem a little shy. New people and new situations get a cautious once-over before she decides everything is safe. But give her a few minutes, and she'll mosey on over for pets, affection, and possibly a permanent spot next to you on the couch. Once you're in Yasha's circle, you're in for life. This sweet girl is the full package: house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and equipped with several useful features, including Sit™, Stay™, and Go To Your Crate™. She walks politely on leash without pulling and prefers a relaxed stroll to any sort of marathon training program. Yasha is also an excellent canine diplomat. She ignores cats, isn't interested in starting drama with other dogs, and generally takes a "live and let live" approach. Pushy youngsters may occasionally receive a polite correction, but she's far more interested in maintaining peace than stirring up trouble. As any good Great Pyrenees mix would, Yasha takes neighborhood watch duties seriously. If something enters the yard, she'll let everyone know. Once the threat (mail carrier, squirrel, suspicious leaf) has been identified, she's happy to return to her regularly scheduled lounging. Her greatest passions include: Soaking up attention Supervising the yard from a comfortable spot Snuggling with her people Being brushed like the queen she is Napping on the sofa Shedding enough fur to create a second, slightly smaller Yasha While she'd probably prefer a quieter home over a bustling city lifestyle, Yasha doesn't ask for much. A comfy couch, a safe yard, some loving humans, and the occasional brushing session are all she needs to be perfectly content. In short, Yasha is that rare dog who somehow manages to be a gentle guardian, a loyal best friend, and an oversized lap dog all at the same time. She's sweet, easy-going, incredibly lovable, and ready to make herself right at home. If you're looking for a drama-free companion with excellent manners and an even better cuddle game, Yasha is waiting to meet you. ❤️🐶

Story
Located in Stafford, VA Meet Your New Best Friend! 🐾 At 4 years old, this Great Pyrenees mix is the perfect balance of playful and laid-back! He absolutely loves kids and currently lives happily with toddlers. He has also successfully lived with a smaller dog in the past. He’s house trained, crate trained, and although he’s perfectly comfortable in his crate, he usually free-roams the house. He attended training when he was younger and loves to play, relax, and stretch out on the couch with his people. ❤️ If you’re looking for a sweet, family-friendly companion who enjoys both playtime and couch time, this handsome guy may be your perfect match! 🐶💕
