Sysco is a 2 year old husky who was rescued from a shelter in NYC when he was at risk of euthanasia because of the lack of room there. He is a very sweet and loyal boy who loves women and is currently learning to trust men. He is currently in private training and is looking for his forever home. He is a very playful boy but also loves to chill out and cuddle. He gets a little bit anxious around men but just needs some patience and love.

He's also a quick learner and will impress you with his smarts. Aside from being a sociable pup, Howie is also a great family dog. He gets along well with other dogs and is good with kids. He's the perfect addition to any home looking for a furry friend to keep them entertained and loved. Are you ready for some Howie-day fun? Come meet Howie and see for yourself why he's the perfect companion. Adopt him today and welcome a bundle of joy into your family. Come see Howie at The River Lane, 7 Main Street, Essex, CT on June 28th and 29th, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF OUR DOGS PLEASE APPLY ONLINE IMMEDIATELY. See www.godogdays.org for details. Here is more information about me: GENERAL BEHAVIOR AND IDEAL HOME: Most rescues will not adopt out dogs, including puppies, to families with children under the age of 6 years old. Rescues will not allow dogs or puppies to go to homes where they will be crated during the full work day. The rescue has noticed this dog is generally good with dogs. However dogs, like people, act differently in different settings and a new adopter should expect there will be an adjustment period of time before before the dog settles in to a new home. At this time we ONLY adopt to residents of the state of Connecticut who live no more than one hour from the event site. GENERAL VETERINARY CARE: I have been ~ spayed/neutered ~ microchipped ~ dewormed ~ heartworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older) ~ up to date on all age appropriate shots ~ treated with a flea preventative ADOPTION FEES Rescues participating in our events are not allowed to charge more than $450 an adoption fee and some adoption fees are much less - it depends on what the rescue chooses to charge - Dog Days does not take any portion of the adoption fees. ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION FORM: https://redletterbusiness.wufoo.com/forms/find-my-new-best-friend/ (Copy and paste to browser.) ADOPTION PROCESS - Before the Event If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. We hope you will understand the careful scrutiny of potential adopters is not only for the safety and well-being of the dog but also for a positive experience for your household. Thank you for saving the life of a shelter dog through adoption; you are truly a hero. -- A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. -- If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. -- If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption weekend. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time. ADOPTION PROCESS - During the Event Weekend -- Plan on spending at least three to four hours going through the adoption process. We want you to be completely confident in your new pal so we will ask you to speak to a trainer, a veterinarian as well as interview with a member of our adoption team and the rescue. -- As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. -- PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE. -- At this time we ONLY adopt to residents of the state of Connecticut who live no more than one hour from the event site. Each dog and puppy has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian who will also be on site to answer any questions you may have. We'll have professional groomers on site to give your new pal a bath before you take them home (no charge) and our adoption bags will give you information and samples for use at home. See www.godogdays.org for details.

Story
Leo is a sweet and affectionate 1 year and 6 month old boy. We brought him home when he was 2 months old, and he has been a wonderful companion. He is neutered, healthy, and full of love. His birthday is August 1, 2025. Leo is incredibly cute, playful, and friendly. He enjoys companionship and would thrive in a home where he gets regular walks, playtime, and attention. Unfortunately, due to my busy work schedule, I’m unable to spend the time he truly deserves. He is often alone, and I cannot take him out for walks as much as he needs. I want Leo to have a happy life in a loving home where he is well cared for, has someone to play with him, take him on walks, and give him the attention and affection he deserves. My goal is to find him a safe, kind, and active home where he can truly thrive.

He’s neutered, fully vetted, and ready to find his forever home. Arlo currently lives with young children, teenagers, other dogs, and cats — and he gets along wonderfully with them all. *HUSKY OR SIMILAR BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!* Meet our radiant red Husky girl named Lady! Lady is about 2 years old and she was surrendered to our shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. Lady is a very sweet and friendly girl who loves all people! She is a playful girl who loves toys and belly rubs! Lady will sit politely for a treat and she takes them gently. She spent a lot of time outside at her last home, but she seems to prefer being with people getting attention rather than being left outside alone on her own. Lady will flop right over begging for belly rubs and full body pets! She is also a great couch cuddler. Lady does have Husky energy and she currently weighs about 65 lbs. We are looking for a home with Husky, or similar breed experience, for Lady to go to. She is fine with other dogs and tends to act more submissive towards them. Lady can go to a home with children 10 years old and older who have dog experience. If you are interested in adopting Lady, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application!
