Story
Cleo is a beautiful 3½-year-old Husky, German Shepherd, and Shar Pei mix with the sweetest soul. She came into my life when she was about 2 years old after her previous owners had to rehome her due to moving. Since then, she has shown nothing but love. She’s affectionate, playful, and truly loves being around people. She likes being included in daily life—whether that’s hanging out with family, going on walks, or enjoying time outdoors. She’s an active girl who enjoys exercise, mental stimulation, and exploring outside. Cleo does best with regular walks, playtime, and activities that keep her engaged. Because she loves people so much, she would thrive in a home where someone is around often and treats her as part of the family. Cleo is house-trained, well-mannered, knows her commands and loves kids. She’s gentle, friendly, and eager to bond with her humans.

Story
Meet Spirit! This STRIKINGLY beautiful girl is very social and loving. She gets along perfect with other pups, and she loves to meet nice new humans. She's a great TV watching buddy as well as a great hiking buddy. Apply to adopt this beauty today at www.cprdogs.com This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Jovee is a sweet 18-month-old lovbug, weighing about 45 pounds. She's wonderful in every way! She is crate and house-trained, loves to go to the dog park to run and play with other dogs. She's a very pretty girl with blue eyes. We believe she MIGHT be a yellow lab/husky because of the pretty blue in her eyes. Whatever breed she is, she is a precious little lady looking for her forever home. Even though we've marked her as "special needs", we debated on that because she is so fully functional and has a fantastic quality of life. However, she has a very special, unique, distinct gait with shorter periods of playing actively without needing a break that is likely from an injury or illness that happened before she came into our care. Her issues may have also been caused by being stepped on or kicked when she was a baby, and that's how she ended up in an animal control facility. We'll never know what actually happened because she was abandoned with no records of her past. Our vet has done X-rays just to rule out anything sekletal and the final diagnosis is that this is a neurological issue from her past that will present no problems going forward. She needs no medication or additional treatments. All she needs is what we all need....she just needs a home with a family who loves her and adores her just exactly as she is!! Jovee is one of our longest CPR residents, and we are hoping that 2026 brings her lots of good things....like a forever family! If you think Jovee is the one to make your home complete, apply to adopt today at www.cprdogs.com. Jovee is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 months + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final before your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged for dogs that are adopted at an event or a foster home. This additional fee is necessary to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! Story
Zelda and Ziggy are siblings who were rescued when their owner passed away. They are getting spoiled rotten at their foster home and they even sleep in the human bed. They are getting crate trained as well. They were very malnourished when they were first rescued but they are getting full bellies now and all the vetting they need and they are healthy, happy, playful pups despite their rough start. We estimate they were born about the first of December so if all goes as planned they will be fully vetted and ready to travel by the 2nd-3rd weekend in March. These pups are fostered in West TN but transport can be arranged. The adoption fee is $399 and transport is an additional $200 Please submit the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Most of your questions can be answered through our website at funnyfarmpets.org

Story
Meet Jackson, a handsome adult (estimated age 4-7 years old) neutered male husky who is every bit as sweet as he looks! This boy weighs about 47 lbs currently. His fur makes him look bigger than he is, but he's actually a bit underweight and needs to gain a few lbs (his foster is working hard at this, which Jackson does not mind ONE bit! ).  Jackson is a very sweet, friendly boy who loves his people and enjoys making new friends - human and canine alike! He loves kids, but we recommend older kids 8+ or dog savvy kids, as he may unintentionally knock over a small child. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Jackson can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how he settles in before committing to adoption. From Jackson's current foster:  "Jackson is a super nice, clean boy with flawless house manners. He has had no accidents and is not destructive at all. He's actually quite calm and extremely affectionate.  His loving nature sets him apart -- he makes himself available for hugs and petting. He's been wonderful with the neighborhood children. Everyone is his friend. He's a sweet deserving dog who is going to make someone very happy." He is medically up to date, housebroken (both his current and prior foster report that he has not had a single accident in the house!), and crate trained. Apply to meet this good boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2517941##
