Story
Say hello to Boomer, a stunning two-year-old, 63 lb. husky/shepard mix with a luxurious long coat and gentle brown eyes. He was dumped this past November at a dead-end road in rural North Carolina after a man in the neighborhood threatened to shoot him for chasing his chickens. At the time, he was not vetted and heartworm positive so he’s now ready for adoption as he’s undergone treatment and has received everything he needs medically. He’s currently in a foster home in NC awaiting his freedom ride to CT upon approval of an application. Boomer is just the sweetest guy! He LOVES to be around people any chance he gets. As most huskies are, this beautiful boy is full of energy and will require an adopter willing to give him the exercise and enrichment he needs. Boomer is good with dogs and has done great with the children he has met since being in foster. We would not recommend a home with cats due to his high prey drive, which is a typical husky trait. He’s also quite the talker and will tell you when he wants something. Boomer loves his toys, runs, and going on adventures. He is house/crate trained and a very smart pup. You MUST have a fenced yard in order to adopt him and husky experience is highly preferred. His adoption fee is $400 and Boomer is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm treated. If you are interested in this gorgeous guy, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

This gorgeous girl is Harley. She is a 3-year-old Siberian husky mix and weighs 55 lbs. Harley is a sweet, playful and calm husky. She has a mellow demeanor that comes as a surprise due to her breed. Harley is friendly with strangers and is always looking to play with a new friend. She will make the perfect addition to any household! She is food motivated and eager to learn. Harley loves a good cuddle and will even flop right over in your lap for some pets. Harley would do great in a home with children of any age. She would love to have a dog friend to play with. We don't know what she thinks of cats but can "cat-test" her if needed. Harley is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, healthy and ready for adoption now! Her adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Harley, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.

Story
*Name: Pepper *Age: 2.5 years *Current Weight: 55 pounds *Adoption fee: $475 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, spayed & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,  Meet Pepper! Pepper is very sweet and will love her person. Pepper is an active dog that plays fetch with frisbees and tennis balls, is happy to jog, walk, hike with you or just run around the yard. She is very intelligent and will continue to happily learn new tricks. She is house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. She loves to chew but is good about only chewing her own toys and chewy. Pepper is very food driven and will do almost anything for a treat but responds well to praise and pets too. She needs tons of brain work and needs to burn energy a few times a day, currently getting two 2.5-3 mile walks a day as well as play sessions, training and free play outside each day. She will sit and wait for her food. She is attentive and loves to be with people. Loud noises and sudden movements make her nervous, so she would prefer a home without small children. Pepper currently lives in a house with cats and chickens and will chase if given the opportunity. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email.
