Story
Aspen is an adorable 14 week old, 16 pound Husky/Poodle/Shiba Inu mix. She is a sweet and spunky girl who adores other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion. She enjoys playing with her toys and romping in the yard. Her favorite place is lying on the porch in the afternoon sunshine, and she would prefer a home with a yard. Aspen is deliciously snuggly and loving with her people and enjoys a good cuddle on the couch once she is tuckered out. Aspen is crate trained, almost completely housetrained, comes when called, and is working on basic commands. She is food motivated and a very smart girl who is sure to make a lucky family very happy! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Leia is a stunning, 4-year-old purebred Husky weighing just 42 lbs—the perfect size for cuddling. It would be hard to find a more loving dog; she adores her people, enjoys being near them, and gives the sweetest kisses and snuggles. She is a happy girl with a tail that never stops wagging.Leia truly represents the best of her breed. She is intelligent, engaged, and extremely loving, but is not a high-energy dog. True to her breed, she loves being outside and would prefer a home with a yard to explore. She is housetrained, well-behaved indoors, and good on a leash and in the car. Leia knows basic commands and loves playing with her toys, often collecting them in her crate or bed. This sweetheart is great with other dogs of all ages and sizes and loves every human she meets. You don't want to miss out on this gem of a dog!Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). Story
When Nova came to us, she had some medical issues that needed to be addressed. We did that! Now they're all in the past and she's ready to find her very own forever home. If you live in CT and would like to adopt this beautiful girl, please complete an online application: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved Nova is a husky mix, about 4 years old. She was saved from euthanasia by an independent rescuer. It turned out she was pregnant (which no one knew) and she had her puppies, who were all placed. Nova developed vaginal hyperplasia following their birth, and our rescue agreed to take her. She was treated for that and has been spayed, and she's now completely recovered! She will probably do best as an only pet. She has had her differences with other dogs in the past, especially when she was a new mom. She absolutely loves all people, and is happy to live with children. Nova is house trained, crate trained, and knows all of her basics. She's a totally awesome dog who will make a terrific family member!

Story
Husky people in CT need to head on over to our application page and fill out an application for Maximus - stat! https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved This boy is a gem! 💥 He looks to be a purebred Siberian husky, although it's impossible to tell for sure without dna testing. He is a great dog who just loves everyone! He's not super high energy although he'd absolutely love a fenced yard and a family to take him on adventures. ❗About 2 years old ❗Siberian husky ❗Good with both dogs and cats ❗Good with children 7+ years old ❗House trained ❗Crate trained ❗Knows some basics ❗Up to date with vaccines ❗Tested negative for heartworm and tick-related illnesses ❗Neutered Now all he needs is to find his family! Max will do best in a rural or suburban environment. He would not be a good match for apartment or condo life, and would not be happy as a city dog. We'll give preference to people with breed experience. Please don't keep Maximus waiting. He's all set to be a wonderful member of the lucky family who adopts him!
