Story
Hi, my name is Kyota - but you can call me Ky! I have been here a few weeks waiting to find my special someone so I am part of the extended Stay Club and my adoption fee has been reduced to $225 to help me find a home! I have spent some time in a foster home and my foster mom says I am a super lovable guy! I adore playing fetch and going for walks and car rides. I can also snuggle on the couch like no one's business! I've been known to play in a mud puddle or two on a rainy day. I'm also a good co-pilot for car rides to the park or the beach. I like to hang my head out the window to catch the breeze and make silly faces. While I enjoy having doggie play dates, I am looking to be your one and only pup in my new home. If you think we'd make good adventure buddies, fill out an online application today so you and I can set up a date to meet! You can find the application at https://capeannanimalaid.org/adopt.html

Story
Has life seemed barren lately? Were you looking to experience the lunar Eclipse this month and miss out? Luckily, this is your second chance at catching a once in a lifetime opportunity. This boy has been waiting six long months on earth for the perfect moment where his moon meets his sun. He shines brightly to those who know him but seems to be shadowed by the world around him. Outside of the shelter, his stunning looks stop people on the sheets and dogs from obeying their owners. He truly is a phenomenon.Baron is a special needs adoption because he has elbow dysplasia diagnosed by a previous veterinarian. He has a higher likelihood to develop arthritis as he ages and may need orthopedic care in the future or may go along just fine, our crystal ball is a bit cloudy but one thing that shines clear is his enthusiasm for living each day! He loves his friends, both two and four legged and is always up for an adventure. He is polite when meeting strangers and has almost mastered his "leave it" command...he is a growing boy and the world is a tasty place. Can you blame him? As a pup who has been looking for his forever home a bit longer he is part of our Extended Stay Club and his adoption fee is reduced to help this sweet guy find a family to call his own. If you feel there is something missing in your life, perhaps a Baron feeling...please consider this once in a lifetime companion and apply today. You can find the application at https://capeannanimalaid.org/adopt.html

*Name: Harlequin *Age: 3.5 years old *Current Weight: 50lbs*Rescued from: Thailand*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines Harlequin was once a beloved furry family member, living on the island of Phuket. With her thick fur coat and unusual eyes - one amber and other blue - she is a striking girl. In November 2023 Harlequin's life changed in an instant. A local farmer noticed a car slow down on a road nearby, the door opened and someone dumped her before they drove away. Alone with a chronic skin condition that had caused her to lose a lot of her fur she was a sorry sight. The farmer called Soi Dog Foundation for help as she realized Harlequin eeded medical treatment for her skin. A rescue team collected her and brought her to the shelter for treatment and saftery. Since she arrived Harlequin has blossomed into a sweet, friendly, social dog. She loves exploring the world and says hello to everyone she meets. Being abandoned hasn't affected her love for people and she deserved to find a wonderful forever family that will love her for the rest of her life.  Harlequin arrives to the Northeast mid-April.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##2006324##

Beautiful and sweet, purebred, husky, high energy, and laws to run/jog and runs well on a bike leash as well. This friendly guy was raised with small children and cats and loves belly rubs and is a super good cuddler. As long as he has tough chew toys, he knows what to chew c on that belongs to him inside and he has open access to his crate & loves it. AKC registered and no known health issues, really sweet boy. He was raised with cats and loves them, but can get a bit territorial around small dogs— does just fine with high energy and friendly medium and large dogs. Sweet boy isn’t getting enough exercise due to his owner having knee surgery and being unable to jog and such as before. Looking fir a loving family home for this good boy.

Story
Petite medium-sized perfect (and very lucky) girl! Meet HARLAN! She was pulled before euthanized for space in a southern shelter and has been a joy in her LA foster home for the past 8 weeks. Sweet girlie Harlan is ready for a home in New England and she loves everyone she meets! She needs a foster or forever home on 4/24, pick up in Amesbury MA.  Harlan is a dream on-leash and loves walking with her foster dad, and is very puppy-like. He says––“She is such a sweet, sweet girl. She is the best walking partner you could ever ask for. Very healthy and you can no longer see her ribs. We walk five or six times a day. She does her business on pads or while we are walking. It is hard not to give her attention when she wants it because her eyes will melt your heart. There is a poor pitbull puppy here in the neighborhood that is mistreated and left outside 24/7 even when we had extreme low temperatures. It has got out several times while the owners were gone and we are in a townhome neighborhood with mostly very small dogs. All the people are scared of the pitbull but she, just like Harlan, is a real sweetie. They want to play and run together. The little pitbull comes to our house wanting to play with Harlan and so I get Harlan and the pitbull puppy follows us into our little patio area. I then put Harlan in the house and carry the pitbull puppy back to its house and secure the gate so it cannot get out. It is actually Harlan and her sweetness that is keeping that pitbull puppy safe. Just like with the pitbull puppy Harlan gets along with all other dogs and people if they allow her to. All the people we meet while walking just gush over her different color eyes. Such a beautiful, sweet girl.” Harlan is part of our unique SHELTER DOG SUCCESS PROGRAM! Her transition into your home will be supported by one of our trainers (3 sessions!) to set Harlan and your home up for success for her transition from homeless to home!  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. THIS PUP IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS LISTING––we pull listings down after receiving 2 - 3 viable applications to minimize adopter disappointment. Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.  Read through our adoption FAQs here www.rescueinc.dog/FAQs and our adoption process is here www.rescueinc.dog/the-process All of our pups come with the following:  spayed or neutered age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months) health certificates  dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag 30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian microchip with free registration  sample of Canidae food that your pup is eating prior to pick up  WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.  Harlan has loved every human (and dog) she's met along the way. Though she has not lived with kids, she has met many along her walks and was eager to interact with all. She does not have exposure to cats that we know of.  Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.   Approved Massachusetts Rescue #0048 // Registered 501c3 EIN #84-3954548  ##2019516##
