Story
Shadow is a typical high energy Husky that was adopted from a neglectful home. He's about a year old and spent the first 7 months of his life mostly crated. Shadow is a very friendly dog to people as well as other dogs, but has poor social skills that are slowly improving. The main need for rehoming is a sudden fixation on one of our cats, so I would not expect him to do well in a home with timid smaller pets. Ideally I'd like to see him in a home with space to expend his energy, possibly with other huskies as he tends to get along best with them.

Story
This active, expressive girl is full of personality and always ready to share her thoughts! She loves getting out for walks, hopping in the car for an adventure, and settling down with a good chew after a day of fun. She’s a “chatty” companion who isn’t shy about letting you know what’s on her mind, so she’s looking for an adopter with a sense of humor who’s ready to help her learn more polite ways to communicate. She’ll also benefit from an experienced home that understands her need for space around her favorite items and is committed to positive, thoughtful training. While she can be excited about other dogs, she’ll need guidance and advocacy to help her navigate those interactions successfully. With structure, enrichment, and a patient, dog-savvy adopter, this lively girl will make a fun, engaging, and devoted companion.

Story
Meet Busta! This tall, handsome, 54 pound hunk is looking for a place to call his own and is ready to set down some roots. He enjoys long walks, playtime with toys, playtime with people and playtime with other dogs. He is house trained, happy being left alone if you need to go work each day. He`s got some energy and will need his mental and phsyical needs met just like any dog - he will just be so much more grateful to you for giving him what he needs! He will happily chill next to you on the couch or relax by your feet if you work from home. Busta is a little fearful/reserve at first but once he has a chance to sniff and get to know you he`ll forget he was even a little nervous. If he sounds like the canine companion you are looking for please drop by our Dedham location to meet him!My friends describe me as: Friendly, reserve, adventerousBusta is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays. For information about our adoption process click here

Story
Hi, I'm Sully and I'm a pup and I was given to an owner who couldn't keep me. I have been living on a farm in Indiana with a wonderful animal rescuer who has many dogs. I play with the younger ones and I go swimming every day. I love to swim! Could I go with an adopter who will take me swimming? I'm joyful and active and house trained. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you. I'm hoping to get a ride to Save A Dog this weekend and be available next week, on the 18th.
