Story
*Name: Harlequin *Age: 3.5 years old *Current Weight: 50lbs*Rescued from: Thailand*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines Harlequin was once a beloved furry family member, living on the island of Phuket. With her thick fur coat and unusual eyes - one amber and other blue - she is a striking girl. In November 2023 Harlequin's life changed in an instant. A local farmer noticed a car slow down on a road nearby, the door opened and someone dumped her before they drove away. Alone with a chronic skin condition that had caused her to lose a lot of her fur she was a sorry sight. The farmer called Soi Dog Foundation for help as she realized Harlequin eeded medical treatment for her skin. A rescue team collected her and brought her to the shelter for treatment and saftery. Since she arrived Harlequin has blossomed into a sweet, friendly, social dog. She loves exploring the world and says hello to everyone she meets. Being abandoned hasn't affected her love for people and she deserved to find a wonderful forever family that will love her for the rest of her life.  Harlequin arrives to the Northeast mid-April.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##2006324##

Beautiful and sweet, purebred, husky, high energy, and laws to run/jog and runs well on a bike leash as well. This friendly guy was raised with small children and cats and loves belly rubs and is a super good cuddler. As long as he has tough chew toys, he knows what to chew c on that belongs to him inside and he has open access to his crate & loves it. AKC registered and no known health issues, really sweet boy. He was raised with cats and loves them, but can get a bit territorial around small dogs— does just fine with high energy and friendly medium and large dogs. Sweet boy isn’t getting enough exercise due to his owner having knee surgery and being unable to jog and such as before. Looking fir a loving family home for this good boy.

Hi, my name is Kyota - but you can call me Ky! I have been here a few weeks waiting to find my special someone so I am part of the extended Stay Club and my adoption fee has been reduced to $225 to help me find a home! I have spent some time in a foster home and my foster mom says I am a super lovable guy! I adore playing fetch and going for walks and car rides. I can also snuggle on the couch like no one's business! I've been known to play in a mud puddle or two on a rainy day. I'm also a good co-pilot for car rides to the park or the beach. I like to hang my head out the window to catch the breeze and make silly faces. While I enjoy having doggie play dates, I am looking to be your one and only pup in my new home. If you think we'd make good adventure buddies, fill out an online application today so you and I can set up a date to meet! You can find the application at https://capeannanimalaid.org/adopt.html

Has life seemed barren lately? Were you looking to experience the lunar Eclipse this month and miss out? Luckily, this is your second chance at catching a once in a lifetime opportunity. This boy has been waiting six long months on earth for the perfect moment where his moon meets his sun. He shines brightly to those who know him but seems to be shadowed by the world around him. Outside of the shelter, his stunning looks stop people on the sheets and dogs from obeying their owners. He truly is a phenomenon.Baron is a special needs adoption because he has elbow dysplasia diagnosed by a previous veterinarian. He has a higher likelihood to develop arthritis as he ages and may need orthopedic care in the future or may go along just fine, our crystal ball is a bit cloudy but one thing that shines clear is his enthusiasm for living each day! He loves his friends, both two and four legged and is always up for an adventure. He is polite when meeting strangers and has almost mastered his "leave it" command...he is a growing boy and the world is a tasty place. Can you blame him? As a pup who has been looking for his forever home a bit longer he is part of our Extended Stay Club and his adoption fee is reduced to help this sweet guy find a family to call his own. If you feel there is something missing in your life, perhaps a Baron feeling...please consider this once in a lifetime companion and apply today. You can find the application at https://capeannanimalaid.org/adopt.html

Story
A-woooo from our fluffy friend Chance! This wonderful gentleman is a 2 year old neutered male red & white husky. Chance came to us a stray, so we don't know anything about his past, but what we do know is that he is one of the best huskies we have had the pleasure of knowing here at the shelter! He is a professional at sit, and is rather polite while he waits for leash up, as well as on his walks. However, those husky genes did not fully pass him, he does still get overly excited in some scenarios, and doesn't miss an opportunity to sing in the kennels when he thinks nobody is listening! He loves his daily walks, and also enjoys some attention when he has sniffed what he wanted. Chance tolerates brushing (we've been brushing him almost daily for a week and he's still blowing his coat!), but loves playtime! He is gentle with his toys, and likes stuffies the most. With what we have seen from Chance at the shelter, we think he would do best with dog-savvy teens+. He has been LOVING being part of our doggy playgroups, making us think he would enjoy another dog at home if you have one. He has a bouncy & slightly pushy playstyle, so your dog's personality would be important for us to determine if they would get along. We will not be placing Chance with cats or small animals. He would benefit from some training classes, so we are requiring an additional $50 training deposit from his future family that will be refunded if you show us a "graduation certificate" within 3 months of adoption. Have those blue eyes stolen your heart? Follow the steps below to come meet him!Our shelter is open every day from 12-4, closed on Mondays. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781, email info@lowellhumanesociety.org, or stop by the shelter to request an adoption application.

Story
My name is Astra and my sister and I, both landed in a shelter that is run by some very nice people.  They have reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue to ask for help getting us out and in to a foster or forever home.  We do not have to go together but we are both very sweet 5 month old, 19 pound Husky/Aussie mix girls who are very happy and loving.  We need a nice active life with a couple, a single athletic person, or a family with children would be great too!  My coat of fur is super soft like an Aussie and my pretty ears stand up like the Husky breed.  I am going to be a 50-55 pound girl when I grow up and I bet I get lots of attention when you take me on walks.  I am ready for a new life with a fenced yard and lots of people for me to love!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested and please tell them where you live…city and state.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm
