Story
Dusty is a Siberian Husky that was born January 2022, he is a 1 year and 9 months. He is very happy dog, loving and great with kids. He loves socializing with other dogs. I am looking for a family whom can match his energetic needs, he is a very active dog who needs long walks and a lot of snuggle time. A family with kids would be great for him or even a couple that loves the outdoors would work. We just want him to go to another loving family that will love him and meet his energy needs.

MEET LEO! Check out my video!!!! - I will be in Boston 9/30 from 1-3PM, please stop by the shelter and meet with me!***ADOPTION FEE WAIVED***** Please note - Leo is in a foster home. Arrangements will need to be made to meet with him.**Huskies were originally bred by the nomadic Chukchi people of Siberia in order to pull sleds over great distances through the arctic terrain. For this reason, they have a thick coat, athletic build, and impressive endurance. Interesting enough, this wasn’t their only task for this tribe. They also helped to herd caribou and even made great companions to their handlers. Today, huskies in the U.S. would be hard pressed to find a sled to pull or a caribou to herd, but they still ranked as the 21st most popular dog breed last year, according to the AKC. People are attracted to the breed because of their stunning appearance, and their affectionate and confident nature towards people. Unfortunately, sometimes these appealing characteristics attract owners who quickly learn that the Husky stamina and mental stimulation needs prove to be overwhelming for the average busy American life style. Make no mistake, these majestic and intelligent creatures can make incredible pets, as long as their handlers do the proper research and preparations to make sure that their physical and mental needs are met.Leo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. Leo`s adoption requires multiple visits for bonding and to help the adopter understand his quirks.Check out his videos! @adoptablemuffins Leo needs a home! #adoptme #huskylife #huskiesoftiktok #rescuedog

Story
MEET ANGEL! - I am in foster, please make an appointment to meet me!Angel is a rockstar husky who has really had an amazing (and long) journey before she was ready to be adopted. She has spent a great deal of time in foster (almost a year!) mastering the arts of potty training, crate training, and socializing appropriatley with other dogs. She had an amazing mentor in her foster brother Buddy, who taught her how to be a very good girl in the house. She would love to go home to another dog in her next home, as she is quite the socialite, or at least have frequent play dates with other social pups. As a husky, she likes to have alot of excercise through regular walks, hikes, and fetch in the yard, but this doesn`t mean she doesn`t know how to chill out. Once she is tired, she loves to sleep belly up with her paws in the air, or cuddle with her foster brother. She is looking for an active owner who can continue to give her the mental and physical stimulation she craves, as well as shower her with the affection she deserves. Angel is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Angel or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
