Pani was abandoned on a rainy day in Korea, and what happened next is heartbreaking. When her owner drove away, Pani desperately chased after the vehicle, following as far as she could. She tried to call her owner back, hoping they would stop and take her home. But they never did. They simply drove away, leaving this beautiful girl behind in the rain. Thankfully, a request for help was received, and Pani was eventually rescued. She may have been abandoned, but she has not given up on people. She is still hoping for the day when someone will choose her - and this time, never leave her behind. Pani is a petite husky mix with a beautiful face and so much love waiting to give. She deserves a warm home, a soft bed, and a family who will show her what unconditional love truly means. Her past is heartbreaking, but her future doesn't have to be. "Savers Project" is WEACT's long-term rescue project, dedicated to saving dogs facing euthanasia in city shelters and taking full responsibility for them until they find a new family. After completing 3 other rescues in Jeju, WEACT had saved a total of 18 lives. But just 3 days after returning, they headed back to Jeju again. This time to rescue dogs at risk of euthanasia in a city shelter. At Jeju City Shelter, which has the highest euthanasia rate in the country, WEACT rescued a total of 5 dogs who were on the euthanasia list, one of which was Lychee. Overall, Lychee is a delightful, energetic dog who is looking for a family who can spend time playing with him. He absolutely loves people and doesn't hesitate to ask for more pets. He shows his affection in return with glistening eyes, looking right back at you. Lychee's peekaboo play is absolutely adorable and makes clear what he wants, which brings smiles and laughs to people at the adoption center. Sometimes, the dogs who have known the hardest beginnings turn out to have the biggest hearts. That's our sweet Skyra. Skyra is a beautiful Husky girl who was found wandering the streets. We don't know exactly what her life looked like before she was rescued, but we do know that despite whatever she may have experienced, Skyra has remained incredibly loving, playful, and trusting of people. With her gorgeous grey coat and white markings, Skyra is impossible to miss - but it's her personality that truly makes her special. Skyra absolutely loves people. She is happy to meet both women and men and enjoys getting attention, being petted, and simply being around her humans. She is also wonderful with children and has a fun, playful spirit. She loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine companion in her forever home. Another dog is not a requirement, but having a friendly four-legged friend would be ideal for her. Her history with cats is unknown. Skyra is house trained, rides well in the car, and is not destructive. She is not known to be a barker and has no food aggression. Her current meals are kibble with rice, shredded chicken, and vegetables. Like many rescued dogs adjusting to a new life, Skyra is still working on a few things. She is learning to walk nicely on leash and is currently working on crate training. When she first arrives in a new environment, she may be a flight risk until she has built a strong bond and feels secure, so her new family will need to be patient and extra careful during those early days. Skyra has a medium-to-high energy level and is looking for a home where she can enjoy plenty of activity, playtime, and companionship. A securely fenced yard is required, and an apartment would not be suitable for her. What Skyra really wants is simple: a family who will love her, keep her safe, give her time to settle in, and let her show them just how wonderful she is. After starting her life on the streets, Skyra deserves to discover what it feels like to truly belong.
