Story
Meet Lightning - a bolt of joy ready to strike your heart!Lightning is a handsome 1-year-old Siberian Husky / Mini Australian Shepherd mix who lives up to his name in the best way. This tri-colored charmer with warm brown eyes is equal parts playful spark and loyal lovebug.Lightning's story began with his mama, Raven, who was heartbreakingly dumped in the country before a kind woman stepped in to help. Just before Raven gave birth to Lightning and his littermates, help was called in-and thanks to that compassion, Lightning grew up surrounded by care, structure, and love. This sweet boy is eager to learn, incredibly loyal, and happiest when he's right by your side. He loves going for walks, playing with his toys, and soaking up attention-especially when it involves kids! He adores playing with grandkids ages 5 to 13 and has a gentle, joyful nature that makes him a wonderful family dog.Lightning knows his basics-sit, come, and stay-though his "stay" is still more of a quick flash than a long strike. He lives with 10 other dogs ranging from tiny to extra-large and gets along beautifully with everyone, proving he's as social as he is sweet.Lightning is looking for a family who will give him time, love, and companionship. In return, he'll bring loyalty, laughter, and a little electric happiness into your life every single day.One meeting and Lightning is sure to strike-straight into your heart! Story
Meet Mojo-an 85-pound bundle of joy with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a talent for making every day more fun. He lives for snacks, snowy adventures, and high-energy zoomies that turn ordinary moments into pure entertainment. His all-time favorite game is a joyful chase, followed by fetch-which quickly becomes an enthusiastic tug-of-war because sharing toys is just too hard when you're having this much fun. Mojo has a soft spot for stuffed animals, absolutely loves playing in the snow, and brings contagious excitement to his walks, keeping life lively and adventurous. He enjoys being close and will happily sit or snooze beside you on the couch, offering quiet companionship like a content old soul. He adores teenagers and is thoughtfully gentle around little kids, showing how aware and considerate he is of his size. He's wonderfully well-mannered and smart-he heads straight to his crate on cue, knows fun tricks like paw, boop, and sleep time, and takes his role as a home "security guard" just seriously enough to alert you when someone arrives. Mojo prefers short car rides, and has a very refined palate. Bananas are a favourite and sweet potatoes are a must. Sometimes he enjoys being hand-fed, like the king he is. Story
"Savers Project" is WEACT's long-term rescue project, dedicated to saving dogs facing euthanasia in city shelters and taking full responsibility for them until they find a new family. After completing 3 other rescues in Jeju, WEACT had saved a total of 18 lives. But just 3 days after returning, they headed back to Jeju again. This time to rescue dogs at risk of euthanasia in a city shelter. At Jeju City Shelter, which has the highest euthanasia rate in the country, WEACT rescued a total of 5 dogs who were on the euthanasia list, one of which was Lychee. Story
If you're looking for a Husky mix but aren't quite ready for the full-time husky drama Una is your girl. Una is discovering that life can actually be pretty wonderful when it includes a cozy house, soft beds, regular meals, walks, canine friends... and, most importantly, belly rubs on demand. She spent the first few years of her life tied up in a yard, so she is still learning all about the joys of indoor living. And honestly she's a natural. She has great house manners although still has the occasional accident. She walks nicely on leash, sleeps perfectly in her crate, is quiet, incredibly gentle and loves belly rubs. Una is currently being fostered in a home that runs an in-home doggie daycare, so she has had the opportunity to meet and live alongside dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. She takes it all in stride. She's easygoing, social and wonderfully uncomplicated. Una isn't a dog who demands to be the centre of attention. In fact, she's perfectly happy to quietly exist alongside you. But if you invite her over and offer some affection she will absolutely accept your generous donation of belly rubs. Una isn't looking for a complicated life. She'd like a soft place to sleep, a family to love, some walks, a few four-legged friends, and someone who understands that belly rubs are not optional - they are a basic human responsibility. She has so much love to give, and she's ready for the next chapter of her life. She is ready to trade her past for her forever. She loves people of all ages and is happy to meet anyone with a kind word and gentle pets. While she enjoys her walks and running around, she's also perfectly content relaxing by your side.
