Story
Meet Kenai! Hey friends! My name is Kenai, and I'm am as handsome as they come! I'm a pretty special adult dog who needs someone in my life who will show me guidance and all the good things to do. I'm housetrained, but I'm not a fan of crates, but I'm not destructive if I need to be left alone. I'd really rather not be home by myself very often. I really attach myself to my person and love going everywhere with them, riding shotgun, of course! I'm good with other dogs, but since I love food so much, it's best that I'm fed by myself, but I've been working at being a good boy, and practicing not having to be in a different part of the house to eat. My style of play might be a little rough for smaller dogs, or since I think cats are really fun to chase, and shouldn't live with them, it might just be a small animal thing that I'm not a fan of. I love humans, but I don't think I should live with the little ones, as I'm a pretty strong, large 65 pound dog, and I would never want to knock them over or hurt them. I enjoy going on walks, but if I see a squirrel, walking is out of the question. Then we run! I'm normally pretty good with having slack in my leash, but sometimes I pull, and that's where a strong handler comes in. Actually, it's probably best if I have someone with husky experience. I can't be on a tie out, so I'll need to go for walks for potty breaks or have a very secured fenced-in yard. If you know huskies, you know that I'm everything great all rolled into one! I'm a talker, and needy (that classifies as great, right?), and obedient and active! I could stand to lose a few, or more, pounds to get myself to a healthy weight and make my joints happier in the long run, so I need someone who is active. We could go on hikes together, and I could help you train for that 5k you've been wanting to do! I'd love it if my new person works from home or I could go to work with them. Remember, I love humans and not fond of being left alone! I'm a really good boy, and trying to find my forever people at this point in life seems very daunting! Do you think you have what it takes to make me a happy guy for all the rest of my days? *Kenai is being fostered in the Janesville area. Story
Meet Layla! Hey everyone, my name is Layla. I'm a beautiful, adult Husky mix. I'm a petite little gal, weighing just 38 pounds. I'm a really good girl, and I get along well with other dogs, and I don't mind cats either! I do my pottying outside, but since I'd rather be indoors, you might have to have a pottying schedule for me so I don't have accidents. I haven't been around any kids since being in my foster home, but since I recently had an eye removed, and my other eye isn't super great, I think if there are kids in my forever home, they should be older than 12. My fur is super great, so I just know everyone will want to touch me! Ever since I came into rescue, I've gotten all fixed up and received so much love and care. And it feels good! I've never really had that in my life before now. My foster pawrents have been working on giving me guidance to feel confident in things I've never felt like I would have confidence in. I'm not there yet, so I sure hope my forever family wants to love me enough to do that for me, too! I enjoy laying in comfy dog beds, but my favorite bed to lay in is the big bed with my humans, snuggled up without a care in the world. I haven't tried going up a full flight if stairs just yet, so I just stay on the main level at my foster home. I'm a very quiet gal, and don't bark at every leaf that blows! Well, since I can't see well, I can't really see the leaves blowing anyway, but you get my point. I'm ready to go home with you now, and I can't wait to show you all the love I have in my heart for you! *Layla is being fostered in the Fort Atkinson area. Story
Ryder is around 3 years old. I have raised him since he was about 8 weeks old. He is a pure bread husky, who needs a new home and loving family with hopefully some room to run. He is a very loving, energetic and strong spirited dog who hopefully can find someone with just as big of a heart as his. Unfortunately, my new home absolutely does not accept pets. Giving him up comes with a heavy heart. So finding him a new family that will love and take care of him is very important to me.

Story
Lilac is a lovely, friendly and very much husky acting Siberian Husky. This gal has had a litter of pups and enjoyed living with her babies. She is very dog friendly but should not be with tiny breeds. Lilac is a typical husky that loves to run, pull, play, and enjoys the great outdoors. She also is a people dog and enjoys being around her people. Lilac is not a dog that can be left unnattended in a yard, she is a great escape artist and will break out to find people to spend time with her.  Here at the rescue, we have been working on Lilac's recall, obedience and crate training. She is learning and doing very well. She definitely needs to go to a home that wants to spend time with her and is more than willing to continue her training.  Lilac loves kids and has lived with children of all ages and enjoys being around them. Lilac cannot be with cats due to prey drive or small pets, she is great with medium to larger dogs and can very easily live with a housemate.  Call us at 847-338-3252 * Email us at : Info@redemptionroadinc.org * Follow us on Instagram:Redemptionroadinc * Facebook: Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Inc. Story
Lancelot has grown to be a big boy now. He loves playing fetch with tennis balls and loves going on walks. He would do better with a family who is very active with him or another dog who is female to help him play. He always wants to be involved in doing what you're doing or rough housing.May 10, 2024, 2:29 am
