Intake Reason: Surrendered; didn`t intend to keep Weight: Known with: ·Dogs: Dog selective. Keeps to self in WCHS playgroup. ·Kids: Exposed to kids 2-8 yrs old. Respectful. ·Cats: UnknownFun Facts About Me:•I am a gracious lady looking for someone to love in my golden years•I recently had an in-between home and learned that I appreciate respectful children and prefer not to share my things with other pooches•Although I am a mature gal and need to be careful with the heat because of my breed, I do like to stay semi-active. In my previous home I had fun in my fenced yard and going on 3-mile walks•Even though I am comfortable in a crate, I was so respectful of my person’s things that I was allowed to roam freely when I was alone and also sleep on the furniture at night•I have a wanderlust spirit and love to go on adventures with my person; I am an opportunist who will take advantage of an open door•I am playful and affectionate but independent enough not to be a Velcro pooch•I think car rides and playing fetch are two of life’s awesome pleasures•I am fluent in house-training and would ask to go outside by standing by the door•I am a smart cookie and know the cues for ‘sit’, ‘come’ and ‘kennel-up’•I have quite a weakness for Benebones; I think they are a grand and yummy treat#1

Story
Alaska is a good dog but needs a better home than I can provide. We got Alaska when she was a puppy, from the people who owned and bred her mom and dad, so we’re the only home she’s had. I am allergic to dogs and really wasn’t wanting to get one because I knew I wouldn’t be able to be the one to take care of her if nobody else did. However, my ex husband wanted her… so that’s what happened. We divorced and he couldn’t find a place to live that would allow him to have her, so she had to stayed here. I can’t care for her or have her in the majority of the house, and she deserves so much more than she has right now. That being said, she needs to go with someone who is willing to work with her because other than being potty trained, knowing her name and how to sit, she hasn’t had much else. And I’d really love for her to have a place to run around, we didn’t have that either. I hate the thought of rehoming, but also hate the thought of her not being able to really live her best life.

For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Jax is looking for a new home after being surrendered back to Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He originally came to Wisconsin in March 2025 and was adopted by his current owner, but due to recent lifestyle changes, she is no longer able to give Jax the time, exercise, and mental stimulation he needs. Meet Jax Jax is an approximately 2-year-old Husky mix with a fun, happy personality and lots of love to give. He is a friendly, medium-energy boy who enjoys staying active and being included in daily life. Jax loves going for walks, playing fetch, and is especially obsessed with balls. He is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on adventures. Jax is also a smart boy who already knows commands like sit, down, and shake. Jax is great with other dogs and has done well with children. Because he can get excited when meeting new people and is still working on not jumping up to say hello, older kids would likely be the best fit for him. He is an all-around social, affectionate dog who loves attention and activity. With continued consistency and outlets for both physical exercise and mental enrichment, Jax will make an excellent companion for an active family or individual. Jax has not been cat tested. Age: Approximately 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 45lbs Breed: Husky mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes, older kids preferred Vaccines/Vetting: Up to date Jax is ready for his next chapter and would love a home that can continue giving him the exercise, structure, and attention he deserves. The verdict from his foster? He is seriously awonderful dog. If you're looking for an intelligent, well-mannered, personable companion whois ready for just about any adventure, Moone might be your perfect match.Moone is a 3.5-year-old Siberian Husky mix weighing approximately 45 pounds. He originallyentered the shelter as a stray, so little is known about his past, but whatever he's been throughhasn't dampened his sweet personality. He has quickly become a favorite thanks to his friendlynature, goofy charm, and affectionate personality.Moone recently attended an adoption event at the Lake Country Dock Hounds baseball gameand truly proved what an amazing dog he is. He handled meeting hundreds of people and kids, loud music, crowds, new surroundings, and all the excitement of a baseball game like a totalpro. He even got to go out on the field for an in-between inning game and took it all in stride!Moone didn't just tolerate the experience—he genuinely enjoyed himself, soaking up theattention and showing everyone what a friendly, confident, and well-rounded dog he is.Events like this are a great reminder of just how special Moone is. He is the kind of dog who cango out and enjoy an adventure with his family, then come home and happily relax by your side. We're telling you—Moone is a really good boy, and whoever adopts him is going to be incrediblylucky.Moone is incredibly intelligent and eager to be part of whatever you're doing. He's the perfectbalance of active and relaxed. He enjoys getting out for walks, running around the yard, playingwith his dog friends, or exploring new places, but once he's had some exercise, he's more thanhappy to settle down and relax beside you while you work from home, cook dinner, or watch TV.He has an excellent off-switch and loves simply being near his people. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes—from tiny puppies to large adult dogs—andabsolutely loves to play. He recently met cats and did very well, so he would likely do well in ahome with dog-friendly cats given proper introductions.Moone is also fantastic in the car. His favorite seat is shotgun, where he'll happily ride along onyour next adventure. At bedtime, he enjoys sleeping in bed with his people, but if he gets toowarm, he'll move to the floor nearby to cool off.Like many happy dogs, he's still working on not jumping when he gets excited to greet people, but he's making great progress with consistency and positive reinforcement. Moone lovespeople and does very well with kids. Because of his size and enthusiasm when greeting people,he would do best with slightly older children so he doesn't accidentally knock over little ones.If you're a fan of Huskies but aren't looking for the constant talking and vocalizing the breed isknown for, Moone is the best of both worlds. He has the intelligence, good looks, andadventurous spirit of a Husky without being overly loud or barky.Moone's Details:Age: 3.5 YearsGender: Male (Neutered)Weight: 45 lbsBreed Best Guess: Siberian Husky MixGood with Dogs: Yes - loves dogs of all sizesGood with Cats: Yes, with proper introductionsGood with Kids: Yes - best with slightly older childrenPotty Trained: YesCrate Trained: YesLeash Manners: Very goodMoone would make an incredible family dog, an adventure buddy, or a loyal companion forsomeone looking for an affectionate best friend.
