For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Jax is looking for a new home after being surrendered back to Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He originally came to Wisconsin in March 2025 and was adopted by his current owner, but due to recent lifestyle changes, she is no longer able to give Jax the time, exercise, and mental stimulation he needs. Meet Jax Jax is an approximately 2-year-old Husky mix with a fun, happy personality and lots of love to give. He is a friendly, medium-energy boy who enjoys staying active and being included in daily life. Jax loves going for walks, playing fetch, and is especially obsessed with balls. He is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on adventures. Jax is also a smart boy who already knows commands like sit, down, and shake. Jax is great with other dogs and has done well with children. Because he can get excited when meeting new people and is still working on not jumping up to say hello, older kids would likely be the best fit for him. He is an all-around social, affectionate dog who loves attention and activity. With continued consistency and outlets for both physical exercise and mental enrichment, Jax will make an excellent companion for an active family or individual. Jax has not been cat tested. Age: Approximately 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 45lbs Breed: Husky mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes, older kids preferred Vaccines/Vetting: Up to date Jax is ready for his next chapter and would love a home that can continue giving him the exercise, structure, and attention he deserves. After leaving shelter life behind, this handsome husky is getting the chance to relax, adjust to home life, and show off the playful personality that made him a favorite among shelter staff and volunteers.Moone is a 3.5-year-old Siberian Husky mix weighing approximately 45 pounds. He originally entered the shelter as a stray, so little is known about his background, but his fun-loving nature quickly became impossible to miss. With his goofy antics, playful attitude, and friendly personality, Moone has a way of bringing smiles to everyone he meets. One thing that was immediately clear at the shelter was how much Moone enjoys the company of other dogs. He did wonderfully during dog testing and loves having canine friends to play with. His foster family is continuing to learn more about him each day, but he has already shown that he enjoys activity, companionship, and opportunities to explore the world around him.As a medium-energy dog, Moone will thrive with regular exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it's neighborhood walks, hiking adventures, play sessions, or simply spending time outdoors, he is happiest when he has opportunities to stay active and engaged.Because he was found as a stray, some of his training history remains unknown. He is continuing to work on leash manners and adjusting to life in a home environment. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, Moone is expected to continue making great progress. From his foster: Moone is a world class snuggler, friendly with everyone and brings calm, joy and a little bit of goofy charm wherever he goes!Moone's Details:Age: 3.5 yearsGender: Male (Neutered)Weight: 45 lbsBreed: Siberian Husky MixGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Not testedGood with Kids: Likely yes, preferably older childrenPotty Trained: YesCrate Trained: YesLeash Manners: ImprovingMoone is now safe in Wisconsin and enjoying the opportunity to settle into foster care while he waits for the forever family that will appreciate his playful spirit and adventurous nature. To learn more about Moone or apply to adopt, visit www.muttlife.org.__________Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply!https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies_________ADOPTION PROCESS:1.) Story
Have you met the lovely duo, Blue and Star? Blue and Star, two adorable dogs found abandoned, are searching for a loving home.It all started in March 2023 when an abandoned dog was spotted on Comus Lake in Delavan. He had been there all day, and when the kind stranger reached out to him, Blue was unapproachable. That’s when the Delavan Police Department stepped in. They sent two officers to contain the pooch, but that went nowhere. That’s when the staff member came into play. Everyone that came to help spent hours with Blue in freezing temps, and after some snacks and kind words, they made headway with him. Blue ended up being able to be leashed with the help of a gentleman who was sitting down and was willing to get close to Blue. It was like they knew each other forever.During the ordeal with Blue, the police department got a call about another husky being found a bit down the road. That dog turned out to be Star. As it turns out, both dogs were chipped! The shelter was able to get both dogs names and ages. Blue is a man’s dog, who gets excited to see them and bonds quickly. Star is a big fan of all people and gets excited whenever her friends come to walk her, so much so that if they don’t come quickly enough, she takes it upon herself to go on a walk. That’s right—Star is THAT mischievous husky that digs her way out if she can’t find another way. As with most issues that come with this breed, there are solutions that can help with time and knowledge. Unfortunately, Blue can’t be in a home with children, but Star likes everyone. That doesn`t help when they need to go home together! Star can be a bit dramatic with her husky sounds - she just LOVES to talk.Adoption Information ~ •Husky mix•Blue - 5 years - almost 6•Star 4 years old - almost 5•Spayed and neutered•Microchipped •Current on yearly vaccinations •Fecal Exam•Star has High energy and needs an outlet for it. Blue would rather have a couch, bed or a nice grassy backyard to chill in•NO CATS for either of them•Needs a husky experienced home
