He originally came to Wisconsin in March 2025 and was adopted by his current owner, but due to recent lifestyle changes, she is no longer able to give Jax the time, exercise, and mental stimulation he needs. Meet Jax Jax is an approximately 2-year-old Husky mix with a fun, happy personality and lots of love to give. He is a friendly, medium-energy boy who enjoys staying active and being included in daily life. Jax loves going for walks, playing fetch, and is especially obsessed with balls. He is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on adventures. Jax is also a smart boy who already knows commands like sit, down, and shake. Jax is great with other dogs and has done well with children. Because he can get excited when meeting new people and is still working on not jumping up to say hello, older kids would likely be the best fit for him. He is an all-around social, affectionate dog who loves attention and activity. With continued consistency and outlets for both physical exercise and mental enrichment, Jax will make an excellent companion for an active family or individual. Jax has not been cat tested. Age: Approximately 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 45lbs Breed: Husky mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes, older kids preferred Vaccines/Vetting: Up to date Jax is ready for his next chapter and would love a home that can continue giving him the exercise, structure, and attention he deserves. If you can foster or adopt Jax, please apply today. www.muttlife.org __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer, vaccinations, and heart worm prevention (age appropriate). The adoption fee is up to the discretion of Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. NOTE: THE BREED LISTED FOR EACH DOG IS OUR BEST GUESS WITH THE HELP OF OUR VETERINARIANS. AFTER ALL, THIS IS MUTT LIFE DOG RESCUE.. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it’s the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too! **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**

Have you met the lovely duo, Blue and Star? Blue and Star, two adorable dogs found abandoned, are searching for a loving home.It all started in March 2023 when an abandoned dog was spotted on Comus Lake in Delavan. He had been there all day, and when the kind stranger reached out to him, Blue was unapproachable. That’s when the Delavan Police Department stepped in. They sent two officers to contain the pooch, but that went nowhere. That’s when the staff member came into play. Everyone that came to help spent hours with Blue in freezing temps, and after some snacks and kind words, they made headway with him. Blue ended up being able to be leashed with the help of a gentleman who was sitting down and was willing to get close to Blue. It was like they knew each other forever.During the ordeal with Blue, the police department got a call about another husky being found a bit down the road. That dog turned out to be Star. As it turns out, both dogs were chipped! The shelter was able to get both dogs names and ages. Blue is a man’s dog, who gets excited to see them and bonds quickly. Star is a big fan of all people and gets excited whenever her friends come to walk her, so much so that if they don’t come quickly enough, she takes it upon herself to go on a walk. That’s right—Star is THAT mischievous husky that digs her way out if she can’t find another way. As with most issues that come with this breed, there are solutions that can help with time and knowledge. Unfortunately, Blue can’t be in a home with children, but Star likes everyone. That doesn`t help when they need to go home together! Star can be a bit dramatic with her husky sounds - she just LOVES to talk.Adoption Information ~ •Husky mix•Blue - 5 years - almost 6•Star 4 years old - almost 5•Spayed and neutered•Microchipped •Current on yearly vaccinations •Fecal Exam•Star has High energy and needs an outlet for it. Blue would rather have a couch, bed or a nice grassy backyard to chill in•NO CATS for either of them•Needs a husky experienced home

Story
Meet Kavik, a beautiful 2-year-old, 50 lb. Chow Chow. Kavik already has many positive characteristics but will need an experienced adopter with an adult only home who will understand & meet his unique needs given his breed & experiences in life thus far. Kavik was a stray in Texas for many months, evading all attempts to catch him, until eventually being trapped. During his time on the run, Kavik experienced being hit by a car & negative interactions with other stray dogs. He’s extremely nervous when leaving his foster home. Kavik very much enjoys the dogs of all sizes in his foster home and would love to have a confident friend in his forever home. He showed little interest when briefly exposed to a cat. He's your typical Chow Chow: stubborn, loyal to his people, protective, and wary of strangers. He spends most of his time resting but has the perfect amount of playfulness with toys & other dogs. A fenced in yard is a requirement to adopt Kavik as he's an extreme flight risk.
