Story
Hi, I'm Kevin! I'm only 13 months old, so still kind of a big puppy, but I'm the BEST boy! I live in a foster home with four other big dogs and I love them! I want to play all the time, so I'd love to have a playmate in my new home. My breed mix includes Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, and husky. My foster mom takes me on 2-4 mile walks every day and I am very good on the leash. We go to the dog park at least once a week and I love to play with the dogs and chase the squirrels. I believe in early to rise, early to bed! After about 7 pm, I just want my comfy dog bed. I am house-trained, crate-trained, vaccinated, up-to-date on heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and micro-chipped. Want to meet me? Just apply at forrescue.net!

Story
Meet Nova! Nova is a beautiful, one-year-old husky with the sweetest soul. She is incredibly loving and thrives when she’s around her people — whether that’s going for walks, hanging out at home, or just being part of the action. She has a fun, playful personality and keeps you laughing with her expressions and classic husky attitude. Nova is eager to learn, people-oriented, and a joy to work with. She already knows basic commands including sit, shake, and touch, Nova is doing very well with both potty training and kennel training and has adapted quickly to a home environment. She also loves playing with toys and chewing on bones. She gets along well with other dogs and would be happy with a canine companion or as the center of attention in her new home. True to her breed, Nova has the classic husky “woo” and loves to talk to her people. Nova will thrive in an active home where she can get regular exercise, as she truly enjoys staying busy. She would make a great hiking, walking, or adventure buddy. Nova is a classic husky — vocal, smart, playful, and full of personality — and will thrive with someone who appreciates the breed’s charm and energy. Nova is being fostered in Huntsville, AL. She is available for transport, the adopter will be responsible for the fees. Apply at forrescue.net

Story
About Me: Name: Tatiana, Anastasia, Nadia Breed (or best guess): Mix breeds (maybe Husky, Corgi, Pomeranian) Approximate Age: 8 months Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 16 lb on 2/7/26 Adoption Fee: $495 each Requirements: Loving and patient family Why In Rescue:  Texas Transfer Profile:   Tatiana, Anastasia, and Nadia (adopted) are littermates who came to us from Texas.  They are happy, playful and loving girls waiting for a loving and patient families.  We don't get a history or background on the dogs, so are learning more about them everyday.  They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies, heartworm and tick tested and started on prevention, had a health exam, and microchipped.  If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS February 23, 2026, 4:12 pm

Odin is a wonderful dog with so much love to give. He is incredibly intelligent, highly trainable, and eager to please. Oden is sweet, kind, affectionate, and forms strong bonds with his people. He thrives on attention, learning, and being part of the family. Unfortunately, due to changes in his current home’s schedule and time constraints, we are no longer able to give him the consistent time, engagement, and activity he truly deserves. This decision has not been made lightly. Oden would do best in a home that can provide him with love, structure, mental stimulation, and regular interaction. He has so much potential and will make an amazing companion for the right family.

A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there. Meet Chad Chad is a 1-year-old Siberian Husky who is ready for a fresh start. He came into the shelter as a stray and, sadly, no one came to reclaim him. Now he’s hoping someone will give him the second chance he deserves. Chad is a silly, goofy boy with a sweet and affectionate personality. He absolutely loves belly rubs and hugs and can be just a bit of a velcro dog — happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s very treat motivated, which makes him eager to learn and fun to work with. In new situations, Chad can be a little unsure and may do an adorable belly crawl while he builds confidence. Once he feels comfortable, his playful side shines. He enjoys playing with other dogs and tends to be more submissive during play, especially with his friend Karen. He would likely do well with another friendly dog. Cats and kids are currently unknown. Chad weighs 45 lbs, is heartworm negative, and is not yet neutered. He has decent leash manners and, like any young husky, will benefit from continued structure, exercise, and positive reinforcement training. Age: 1 year Gender: Male (not yet neutered) Weight: 45 lbs Breed: Siberian Husky Spayed/Neutered: No Potty Trained: Unsure Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Unsure Chad is available for the 3/21/26 transport and is ready to keep moving forward. He would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen. If you’re able to foster or adopt, please apply today. www.muttlife.org __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ ADOPTION FEE SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE for Sheeba Meet Sheeba Sheeba is still looking for her forever home — and we truly aren’t sure why. She is everything you could want in a companion and is more than ready to find her perfect soft place to land. This super sweet senior girl made it safely to Wisconsin in December after being found as a “stray” in Georgia alongside her buddy, Scooby. Despite wearing matching collars and leashes, they heartbreakingly ended up in a shelter. Scooby has since been adopted, and now it’s Sheeba’s turn to find her happily-ever-after. Sheeba stayed behind in Georgia to complete heartworm treatment after testing positive at the shelter. She handled treatment like a champ and is now healthy, thriving, and ready for a home of her own. Sheeba is likely around 8–9 years old, and while she may be a senior, she has so much love left to give. She is wonderful with kids, great with other dogs, quiet and rarely barks, fully potty trained, and crate trained (though she does not need a kennel). She is easygoing and low maintenance. She walks nicely on a leash, does great at vet visits, and truly never meets a stranger. She is calm, gentle, and happiest simply being near her people. She doesn’t ask for much — just love, comfort, and a cozy place to call home. After a rough start and a long journey to get here, Sheeba deserves her second chance. She is a low-key, super sweet girl just waiting for someone to choose her.
