Story
Meet Luigi — a shepherd pup who is as adorable as they come. At first glance he looks all black, but look a little closer and you’ll see beautiful hints of brown woven through his fur—just one more thing that makes him extra special. He’s playful, sweet, and loves soaking up attention, whether that’s romping with toys or snuggling in close. Luigi loves squeaky toys, new sounds, and a good wrestling match. He isn’t a fan of being inside for too long and is always ready for his next adventure. He didn’t love his first bath, but has been unfazed by rain, snow, and even nail clipping. He’s also pretty obsessed with the dishwasher and never misses a chance to “supervise.” Luigi is off to a great start with potty training and does well with consistent trips outside. He truly shines around kids and absolutely loves their energy, making him a wonderful match for a family ready to raise a puppy. As a shepherd, he will thrive with continued training, structure, and positive outlets for his energy. Luigi is ready to bring endless smiles, cuddles, and puppy joy to his forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, fun companion to grow with your family, Luigi may be your Pawfect Match!   Luigi is eligible for our Puppy Starter Package, included in his $400 adoption fee. New puppy parents will go home with a small bag of puppy food, martingale collar, leash, a small Mumbies chew, and puppy treats — everything you need to start off with success from day one.   All of our animals reside in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their perfect match. If you are interested in meeting this animal, please complete an adoption application on our website: https://www.BestPawsRescue.com   Spay/Neuter PolicyAny animal that has not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption will require a signed Spay/Neuter Agreement and a refundable $100 deposit (payable by check or electronic payment). The procedure must be completed within six (6) months of the adoption date. Once Best Paws Rescue receives acceptable proof of the spay/neuter procedure, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter.Failure to comply with the terms of the Spay/Neuter Agreement within the required six (6) months will result in forfeiture of the deposit. If the procedure is performed by one of Best Paws Rescue’s approved veterinary partners, the full cost of the spay/neuter is covered by the adoption fee. Ages and breeds are our best estimates, and we cannot make any guarantees. Most of our animals come from overcrowded shelters with limited resources. We do our best to evaluate each animal’s behavior and medical needs and place them into loving foster homes until they are ready to go home with you. Our organization is operated entirely by dedicated volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts. ##2621185##

Haitchi is a stunning husky. For his big size he may seem scary but overall, he is just a big cuddle butt. He will somehow find a way to lay on you even if it’s cramped. He LOVES human attention & will do anything for it. Haitchi tends to do better with female dogs rather than male since he was neutered recently so he gets dominant with males. For a husky Haitchi is surprisingly not that loud & is pretty chill in the house. He does get very excited for walks & is an escape artist.Apply at Rescuegang.orgDATCP#483538

Story
Hi, I'm Kevin! I'm only 13 months old, so still kind of a big puppy, but I'm the BEST boy! I live in a foster home with four other big dogs and I love them! I want to play all the time, so I'd love to have a playmate in my new home. My breed mix includes Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, and husky. My foster mom takes me on 2-4 mile walks every day and I am very good on the leash. We go to the dog park at least once a week and I love to play with the dogs and chase the squirrels. I believe in early to rise, early to bed! After about 7 pm, I just want my comfy dog bed. I am house-trained, crate-trained, vaccinated, up-to-date on heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and micro-chipped. Want to meet me? Just apply at forrescue.net!

Story
Meet Nova! Nova is a beautiful, one-year-old husky with the sweetest soul. She is incredibly loving and thrives when she’s around her people — whether that’s going for walks, hanging out at home, or just being part of the action. She has a fun, playful personality and keeps you laughing with her expressions and classic husky attitude. Nova is eager to learn, people-oriented, and a joy to work with. She already knows basic commands including sit, shake, and touch, Nova is doing very well with both potty training and kennel training and has adapted quickly to a home environment. She also loves playing with toys and chewing on bones. She gets along well with other dogs and would be happy with a canine companion or as the center of attention in her new home. True to her breed, Nova has the classic husky “woo” and loves to talk to her people. Nova will thrive in an active home where she can get regular exercise, as she truly enjoys staying busy. She would make a great hiking, walking, or adventure buddy. Nova is a classic husky — vocal, smart, playful, and full of personality — and will thrive with someone who appreciates the breed’s charm and energy. Nova is being fostered in Huntsville, AL. She is available for transport, the adopter will be responsible for the fees. Apply at forrescue.net

Meet Sheeba Sheeba is a super sweet senior lady who made it safely to Wisconsin in December and is now ready to find her forever home where she can spend the rest of her days surrounded by love. She was found as a “stray” in Georgia alongside her best friend, Scooby, and heartbreakingly ended up in a kill shelter. Despite appearing well cared for—with matching collars and leashes—it was clear these two weren’t truly strays, but beloved dogs left behind. Scooby was able to travel north earlier, but Sheeba had to stay behind to complete heartworm treatment after testing positive at the shelter. She handled her treatment like a champ and is now healthy, thriving, and finally reunited with Scooby in her Wisconsin foster home. Sheeba may be a senior, but she still has plenty of life and love left to give. She is incredibly easygoing, quiet, and rarely barks. She does wonderfully at vet appointments, never meets a stranger, and settles beautifully once she feels comfortable in her environment. Sheeba enjoys gentle companionship, soaking up pets, and simply being near her people. She is fully potty trained, crate trained (though she doesn’t need a crate), and walks well on a leash, making her an easy addition to any home. She is friendly with other dogs, does well with kids, and according to the shelter, is not a good fit for a home with cats. Sheeba would love to be adopted with her pal Scooby, and we would be thrilled to see them stay together. However, it is not required, and Sheeba would also do wonderfully in a loving home of her own. From a rough beginning to a well-deserved second chance, Sheeba is a low-key, super-duper sweet girl ready to write her happily-ever-after.
