This is Teddy and Buddy, an adorable duo that must be adopted together. They are incredibly bonded. Buddy is a scruffy, 1-year-old male Jack Russel terrier mix who weighs 20 lbs. Buddy is social, energetic, and easy-going. Teddy is a 9-month-old Pomeranian (?) mix who weighs 11 lbs. Teddy is a sweet and happy boy who has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition caused by an underdeveloped cerebellum. CH causes Teddy to have poor balance and bob around, especially when he gets excited. While there is no treatment for CH, with proper care, dogs can live a long, happy life. Teddy enjoys walks in his stroller or baby carrier. Buddy likes to walk right beside Teddy and check on him frequently. Both boys get along with other dogs and would be fine in a home with older children who can tend to Teddy’s special needs. They can be cat-tested upon request. This is Zeke, and he is just a cool little dude. Zeke is an 11-year-old Jack Russel Terrier that weighs 20 lbs. Even though he’s a little older, he still has lots of energy and loves walks or short jogs. He’s great on a leash! When you first meet Zeke, he’s nice but seems a bit indifferent; but don’t let that deter you! While he has an independent streak, he is also very affectionate. He likes sitting on your lap and loves cuddles and kisses. Zeke is intelligent and curious. This curiosity can also get him in trouble, though. You see, Zeke is a runner, so he’ll need a home where he is always safely secured (fenced backyard, always leashed outside, no open doors, etc.). Zeke is already house-trained and can be trusted to be left alone, uncrated (one of the many benefits of an older dog). Zeke likes other small dogs but does not play nice with cats. We have two dogs, Daisy is a 33lb, 9 year beagle mix. Summer is a 25lb, 4 year old Jack Russel terrier mix adopted when she was a few months old. Daisy is very passive and friendly. Summer is very territorial so when people come over we have to crate her. Last June Summer was attacked by a neighbor's 50lb dog who was off the leash. Summer jumped into my arms for protection as the dog jumped at her and bit her while it was also biting me to get at her. Summer has PTSD from the attack. Since the attack, several times Summer very aggressively gone after Daisy. We would love to keep Summer because we all love her but we are now keeping both dogs separate because when Summer goes after Daisy it happens quickly. She is very smart, house trained, loves people but not other animals. No idea how she is with kids. But ours are 16 & 22. She loves them as well. In a home with no there pets she would be great. She is very obedient, smart, playful, & affectionate.

Pancake was picked up off the streets, already neutered and microchipped (but alas, the chip was not registered). He is a sassy little guy, he enjoys long walks and belly rubs. He also enjoys his dinner to the point of resource guarding - as in if you get near his bowl, he will bite you. We are hand feeding him as a way to diminish this behavior, but his future family needs to be aware that he is not perfect. He loves running loose on the farm, ignores the other dogs and cats, and will happily trot along wherever his foster travels. He is a perfect auxiliary dog! All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.
