At this pivotal stage in her life, Nyssa is ready to flourish and thrive with the loving family she deserves. An active family would be her perfect match, providing the companionship she needs to channel her boundless energy into thrilling adventures and meaningful training. Intelligent and eager to learn, Jack Russells excel with proper guidance, and with the Whippet’s calm and gentle nature, Nyssa is the ideal partner for anyone excited about training and outdoor fun. Just imagine the incredible bond you could create together!   It’s important to note that this unique breed has a strong prey drive, so its future home should be free of small animals and cats. To ensure a harmonious environment, we are particularly looking for families with children over 10 years old who have experience with dogs.   Nyssa's stunning short coat features beautiful brown spots against a pristine white background, complemented by her long back and medium-short legs, creating an adorable silhouette. Her robust, muscular build not only hints at her potential as a fantastic hiking or agility partner but also promises a life overflowing with joy and excitement. Picture all the adventures waiting for you with Nyssa by your side!   **Adopting Nyssa** To adopt Nyssa, please use the link below. **INTRODUCING KIWI Senior Dogs and Friends. Arlington, WA. 360.386-2393 www.smallpupsrescue.org DO YOU LOVE THE JACK RUSSELL? Kiwi is looking for a stable, loving home where he can settle in for good, and this boy has personality!! Kiwi will melt your heart once he is settled and you have created a bond! Kiwi is housebroken, independent, and smart. He just needs someone to call family. This sweet 7-year-old Jack Russell mix wants to be your best friend. He’s a great companion, happy to relax all day and always up for a walk when you are. Kiwi enjoys car rides and loves playing fetch, so if you have a ball, he’ll be ready for fun. He’ll curl up in your lap while you work from home or watch TV, and he rarely barks. For homes with kids, Kiwi does best with adults. Typical of the Jack Russell breed, Kiwi has a strong prey drive and should not live with cats or other small animals. Kiwi’s health needs are easy to manage, but it’s important to be aware of them. He has some spine issues that sometimes cause pain and a little bladder leakage, so he wears a belly band. He takes daily medication to help with discomfort and does best with regular, short walks instead of long or very active outings. Other than this, he doesn’t need any complicated medical care. His routine mainly involves giving him his medication, monitoring his mobility, and ensuring he’s comfortable. When Kiwi first left the shelter, he reacted to other dogs on leashes and sometimes guarded his things. Thanks to training, he now walks calmly past other dogs every day. Because of his past, he’ll do best in a home without other dogs. We’ll provide training materials, behavioral support, and guidance to help you continue making progress. We’re always here to answer questions or offer advice. Kiwi’s spinal issues cause some nerve compression, which leads to pain and occasional dribbling from lack of bladder control. He’s comfortable wearing belly bands, has only occasional leaks, and is fully housebroken. If you have a fenced yard, like going for walks, have a big heart, and love animals, you might be the perfect match for this quirky senior Jack Russell Terrier who likes to take things at his own pace. Applying doesn’t mean you’re committing right away. It just helps us see if you’re a good fit and gives you a chance to meet Kiwi. If now isn’t the right time to add a new family member, please like, comment, or share this post with someone who might be interested. Every interaction helps us reach more people and find Kiwi a home. Thank you for your ongoing support.   **Adopting Kiwi** To adopt, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process.   The adoption fee for Kiwi is $395 and includes his vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip, and neuter.   www.smallpupsrescue.org     September 1, 2026, 1:12 pm

❤️🎶 Meet Kenny Rogers! 🎶❤️Every litter needs a little music, and this handsome boy was named in honor of the legendary Kenny Rogers — with his sisters carrying on the Dolly Parton side of the tribute. Because what's better than a little country music and a whole lot of puppy love? ❤️🐾Kenny is the only boy in his litter, and this red-and-white sweetheart is one special guy! He looks a lot like his sister Ruby, with beautiful red-and-white coloring, long legs, and an absolutely fabulous personality.Kenny is sweet, playful, and full of charm. He's the kind of boy who is happy to be involved in whatever is happening and has that easygoing personality that makes you fall in love with him pretty quickly. 🥰With his long legs and handsome coloring, Kenny is going to be quite the head-turner when he grows up — but it's his great personality that really steals the show. And since he was named after Kenny Rogers, we think he's destined to find his own “Islands in the Stream” kind of love — the kind that lasts forever. ❤️This handsome boy is ready to find his forever family and start the next chapter of his story.🐾 Interested in Kenny? Please visit the SCARF website and submit an adoption application to be considered for this sweet boy: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41Kenny can be transported from Texas for an additional $300 transport fee. 🚐❤️*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Story
Under AKR Custody Review (Adoption temporarily on hold pending resolution of foster situation) Currently in Vancouver!!! Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches)   Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. He’s looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and loved — could that be with you? Story
MEET ROSIE 4 years old | Spayed Female | Terrier Mix | 6.3 kg (14 lbs) | 36 cm | Beige   Sweet, affectionate, and happiest around people, Rosie is a gentle little Terrier mix looking for her forever family.   Rescue Story   In December 2025, Rosie was brought to a shelter after a report that she had been hit by a car. Thankfully, she did not sustain any serious injuries from the accident. She is now safe and ready to start a new chapter with a family of her own.   With People   Rosie is a friendly and affectionate girl who loves people. She approaches both familiar faces and strangers easily, often rubbing against them for attention and happily accepting pets.   She can be picked up comfortably with an arm under her belly, and once she gets to know you, she’ll even roll over and show you her belly.   With Other Dogs   Rosie will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but she generally isn’t interested in playing or interacting much with other dogs. She much prefers people!   She can feel nervous or uncomfortable around dogs larger than herself. Even with smaller dogs, she prefers those who respect her space and will avoid dogs that are overly pushy or energetic.   Rosie may be happiest as the only dog in the home or with a calm, respectful canine companion.   With Cats   Rosie’s reaction to cats has not yet been observed. A cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Rosie has a moderate energy level. She enjoys spending time outdoors and going for walks, but after getting her exercise, she settles down nicely and is happy to relax.   On Walks   Rosie sometimes has her own ideas about which direction she’d like to go, but overall she follows her handler well and enjoys walking in quieter areas.   Busy roads with lots of traffic, loud noises, or sudden sounds can make her nervous, and she may hesitate or try to avoid going toward them. A quieter walking environment and patient guidance will help her feel more secure.   At Home   Rosie has many lovely everyday manners:   She shows no food guarding toward people or other dogs. She rarely barks. She stays calm in her kennel. She does most of her bathroom business outdoors.   Rosie at a glance: Affectionate • People-loving • Gentle • Moderate energy • Quiet • Calm in her kennel • Prefers respectful dogs • Happiest close to her humans   Rosie may not be looking for a canine best friend—because what she really wants is a human best friend.
