Meet Buddy and Holly! This brother and sister pair have had a tough time lately: their longtime owner passed away and they got locked out of the home for several days before a kindly neighbor stepped in and got them to us. Poor things have been through it! Even so, you won't meet a friendlier pair. They are people lovers through and through and will compete for your attention. We don't know much about them otherwise, though we estimate they're about four years old. Their exact breed is anyone's guess. We just know they need a home! ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to $300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Story
Meet Loke — curious, sensitive, and looking for a soft place to land. Formerly shy, but becoming bolder by the day. Loke is an attentive and active household member. She is eager to hop on your work calls, distract you with a toy squeak or alert you of the slightest door closing. She’s a tender little soul who’s still learning personal boundaries with her humans and fellow dogs. She’s a little anxious and nervous, but also keenly curious! She will need a patient, and experienced home to build confidence and redirect her inquisitive energy. She is quick to learn new tricks and exists happily with other dogs. We expect with the proper training, she would thrive as an outdoorsy dog, or in the world of agility! Loke’s potty training has made a lot of progress but she still has the occasional accident inside. Her foster is giving her lots of love, and consistent bathroom breaks while she works through this phase. Loke is a high-energy and intelligent dog who is learning to be confident and walk on a leash. Her foster started training basic commands to help hone in her energy. She’s learned sit, come, and down already. She’ll need time, consistency, and a calm home to meet her where she is while helping her explore new tricks! If you’re looking for an active dog who also needs a slow and steady home to build their confidence, Loke may be the one who quietly steals your heart. ----- A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means: ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment. ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing). ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed. The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like. Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are. Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Welcome Oliver to CCPAL Rescue. Oliver is an 8-month old Jack Rat (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier). He is about 12 pounds and is a small dog with a scruffy and wire-haired coat. He is a lower shedding dog and would make a great walking companion. He is confident, social, outgoing, affectionate and adorable. He isn’t clingy but likes being held and is great with other dogs. He is in the puppy play group with girls, boys and dogs bigger and older than him. I would think his breed would love to chase squirrels out of the yard. He is good in his kennel and not overly vocal. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is adorable. He would be fine as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is fine with baths and nail trims. He is learning leash manners. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
– Dotty   Name: Dotty Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Terrier mix Color: White / Black Weight: 4.5 kg Height: 27 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story   Dotty was rescued from animal hoarding situation, where over 230 dogs were being kept. With support from the city, the dogs received spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations. AKR is currently working in cooperation to provide foster care and adoption support so Dotty can find a loving forever home.   Human Social Skills   Dotty is extremely affectionate and loves people. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, leans in for cuddles, and allows handling with ease. She is comfortable with both men and women and will even show her belly to people she just met. She can be picked up easily by placing an arm under her belly.   She has not lived with children under 13, but based on her temperament, we believe she would do well with respectful kids.   Like many dogs rescued from hoarding or breeding environments, Dotty can struggle with separation anxiety. She is very people-oriented and, while not constant, may occasionally howl or cry intensely when left alone. Because of this, she may not be suitable for apartments with strict noise restrictions or homes where she is left alone for long hours.   Dog Social Skills   Dotty may approach unfamiliar dogs to sniff, but she generally does not engage in play. Even in off-leash areas, she tends to sit quietly or nap rather than interact. She shows little interest in other dogs and strongly prefers human companionship.   Cats   When she sees cats during walks, Dotty usually just watches them quietly and moves on once they leave. Cat testing is available upon request.   Energy Level   Dotty has a low energy level and enjoys relaxing calmly most of the time. However, she is very food-motivated and surprisingly agile — she can jump onto tables or desks, so food management and supervision are important to prevent accidents.   Walks   Although she doesn’t have extensive walking experience, Dotty is quite brave outdoors. On her very first walk, she successfully went potty outside. She is not fearful of cars and enjoys sniffing and exploring her surroundings.   Other Notes   • No food guarding toward people or dogs • Generally quiet, but may howl when left alone • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Currently doing outdoor potty training   Dotty is a sweet, people-loving little companion who would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of time with her humans. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be close to you, Dotty may be your perfect match. Story
Meet Snow — A Gentle Terrier Mix Ready for a Fresh Start   Name: Snow Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Terrier Mix Color: White Weight: 6.1 kg Height: 33 cm (shoulder height)     Rescue Story   Snow was rescued from a severe animal hoarding situation where over 230 dogs were kept together. With support from the City of Seoul, the dogs received spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, and AKR partnered to provide foster care and adoption support. Snow is one of these survivors — now safe, learning about the world, and ready to find a loving forever home.     Personality with People   Snow is very affectionate and friendly. He happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, leans in for pets, and enjoys human contact. He does well with both women and men. Although he hasn’t met children under 13 yet, based on his gentle nature, we believe he would do well with them. Snow can be comfortably lifted and handled, and he does great during grooming appointments as well     Socialization with Other Dogs   Snow is extremely dog-friendly and enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. He is especially comfortable with dogs of similar size and tends to avoid conflict — even if another dog provokes him, he usually ignores it and walks away.     Cats   Snow has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.     Energy Level   Snow has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor time, and like many dogs rescued from hoarding situations, after about an hour of outdoor activity, he happily settles in for a long nap     ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   Because Snow had limited walking experience in the past, he may stop when something unfamiliar or scary appears. He will need consistent practice and patience, but he is easy to manage on leash and improves steadily with guidance.     Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding with people or other dogs • No signs of separation anxiety at present • Due to his background living in a group, mild separation anxiety may appear in a home without other dogs • Rarely barks • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty routines     Snow is a soft, gentle soul who is still learning what it means to live as a beloved family dog. With patience and love, he will make a wonderful companion   Currently in Korea Available for adoption to Canada & the U.S. Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram.
