You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MOCHI A Rat Terrier Mix Female Background Mochi was relinquished to the shelter as a stray and never claimed. Due to overcrowding, we rescued the 13 dogs scheduled to be euthanized. Mochi is pleased to be out of the scary shelter, warm and well-fed. In foster care, she showed us that she is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door. Mochi is a sweet and loving girl who seems to enjoy the company of playful small-breed dogs. She is 15 pounds, but she should only be 8 pounds and approx. 2.5-years-old. The vet cannot find any issues. She was overfed and needs to drop her weight. We are feeding her small meals and she does love to run and play. I am confident we can get her weight normalized and th adopters will need to stick with the plan for life. What Mochi Needs Mochi will require a safely fenced yard for her protection and will do her best with someone who is retired, works from home, or can take her to work. Mochi is super friendly and cuddly. She likes to sleep with her favorite human. She absolutely loves the foster's cat, who is a sphynx. They sleep together all day. Mochi wants to be someone's very special girl. She does well with other friendly small dogs and can join a home with another small pup. Mochi does not like a home that is very busy with people coming in and out. We are seeking a quiet, calm environment without children or a lot of coming and going by visitors. How To Meet Mochi Mochi has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. SHE LOVES HER NEW FOOD!  We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Mochi, she has a $495.00  adoption fee.   All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we can get to know you and make the best match.                                                                                    https :/ /rompinpawsrescue.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 5, 2024, 2:54 pm

Story
Meet CiCi, a 1-year-4-month-old, 6-pound Chihuahua mix with a quirky but lovable personality. CiCi thrives in a calm, small dog-only home with someone who has the patience to let her come around at her own pace. She’s fully potty trained and has yet to have an accident. Her kennel is her safe space, and she’ll retreat there when feeling overwhelmed, especially if other dogs get too close. CiCi isn't a fan of dogs in her face, and big dogs make her uncomfortable, but in a quiet environment, she’ll flourish and build trust on her terms. With time and understanding, CiCi will be the sweetest companion!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.October 6, 2024, 5:17 am

Story
Hi my name is Mango because I am sweet and tangy! I am so happy to see you looking at my profile. I love my foster home, but I am ready to find my forever home. I am a curious and fairly active girl. I walk well on a leash and am pretty calm when meeting other dogs on the walk. But a good introduction to new dogs is always the best. I live with many dogs now and get along with most of them really well. I have not lived with cats or young children but they could be fun. If you are looking for an active, sweet, and loving gal then just fill in the application we could meet on a Zoom call. Lots of love to giveMango To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
Debonair 11-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right family! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier.  He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly).  Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and chasing a ball. He gets along well with small dogs he's introduced to in his home environment. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. Jax would be fine as a single dog or with a respectful smaller dog.  Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He does also have a bit of anxiety which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise.  Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly housetrained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter surf, or chew items. Jax might have a tough exterior, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone who is willing to take the time to understand him.See more photos of Jax at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Calling all senior dog lovers!  This sweet lady is small and spunky, weighing in at seven pounds.  Don't let her age fool you - at 14 years, Lindsay is a very sweet lady who is a super snuggle bug and also very active.  She loves to walk and play with squeaky toys. She is fine with other dogs but prefers the company of humans, especially the human she's most attached to. As she gets very attached her person, she can be protective of them and will growl or bark at others who interact with her human (she is more likely to react to human males).  Lindsey does have separation anxiety and would do best with a human that is home most of the time or in a setting where her barking will not bother neighbors.  Please consider adding this loving, spunky, senior lady to your life... For more photos of Lindsay, visit https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/lindsay Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Little Miss Suzi is a happy and social girl who loves people and dogs.  She is a three-year-old Rat Terrier mix.  At 25 pounds, she could use a few extra walks to help her get to her ideal weight.  Suzi his house trained and gives good signals about when she needs to go outside to do her business. Suzi can be pushy with other dogs when there are resources at stake (human attention and food). But she would do well with a tolerant canine friend. She is also wary of new humans but warms up quickly and is very affectionate to humans who have gained her trust.  She loves to be held and will do everything she can to worm her way into her humans laps. Could you be the one to give Suzi the home she has always wanted?  For more pictures of her, visit her album: https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/suzi .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beau Background Beau came to us with all his siblings from an animal hoarder's home in California. He is the last of his litter who needs a home. Beau is neutered and up to date. What Beau Needs Beau is a Jack Russell-Papillon mix, also known as a Papi-Jack. Initially shy, he warms up quickly to a sweet and loving 4-year-old boy. Beau needs a woman-only home as he is used to living in an all-female household and doesn't do well with men. He requires a yard for sunning and potty and prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to thrive, as he has had other dogs around him his entire life. Beau was rescued from a hoarding situation and is accustomed to being part of a larger dog group, so having a friend or two is critical to his well-being. Beau needs an adult-only home. He does not like children or grandchildren, as they scare him and may bite. Beau prefers women to men, but with patience and proper socializing, he will become friendly with the man in the home (if there is one). If you're looking for a lover boy who wants to be with you everywhere, is super playful, and loves having a buddy dog to be close to, Beau is your boy. He has a medium-long, soft, and silky fur coat and does best when he is kept well-groomed, brushed, and bathed. Beau adores being clean and brushed and loves attention, being talked to, and hugged. He is housebroken but has also learned to use a Peepad as a backup if needed.  Beau is intelligent, lovingly gentle, and protective. He becomes very close to his particular person. Beau does become a watchdog if you have company, so he will need a nice, quiet place to retire to if you have guests and people he has not been adequately introduced to in the home. He prefers to be around only 1-2 people and becomes a lap dog, hugger, and kisser once he knows he can trust his humans. Beau likes all small dogs he has met and has done well with a few older lab puppies we have brought in, engaging them in play.  Due to Jack Russell's prey drive, Beau is a healthy boy but needs a dog friend and a small-animal-free home. He has cleaned the house of visiting mice and moles on the rescue property. How To Adopt Beau CLEAR The RESCUE September Special: $150 off adoption fees for single animals to help us find long term dogs their forever people!   Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup.  The next step is a meet and greet if a match can be made. Please use a computer, as tablets and cell phones will drop the application. Beau has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for his and his new buddies.  To apply to adopt Beau, he has a $495.00 September "clear the rescue" adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we can get to know you and make the best match.      https ://rompinpawsrescue.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 5, 2024, 2:54 pm
