Story
Hi, my name is Chimenea! If I had to describe myself, I would say I am funny, playful, and happy. I love going for walks, playing with stuffed toys, running, and even car rides. I dream of finding a home where I get lots of love, regular walks, and maybe even a friendly female dog as a companion. I do best in a home without small children, and I am ready to give all my love to the right family. I was rescued after wandering the streets for many days.I have lots of energy and love to give, I would be a perfect family dog who gives me lots of time and playtime. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Dapper 12-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right person! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly)! Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and playing fetch. He gets along well with small dogs and calm large dogs. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. He is protective of his body and needs to wear a muzzle to be physically handled. Jax would be good as a single dog or with a respectful, smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He also has a bit of anxiety, which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise, but if unchecked can spiral into bouts of barking. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly house-trained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter-surf, or chew items. Jax may seem tough, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone willing to take the time to understand him. Story
Sweet Sybil is a darling old lady who needs a soft place to land in her golden years! Sybil is 14 years-old, about 14 lbs., and was adopted 10 years ago but ended up back to New Rattitude after her adopter became too ill to care for her. She is well-behaved and used to life at home as a loving pet. She is house-trained and she gets along well with other dogs, but would be good as a low-maintenance single dog too. Sybil is a bit shy of some people, but eventually warms up to anyone who is patient and kind -- cheese helps as well! Sybil is an adorable and kind-hearted girl and would love to have a quiet, caring home. She hasn't been around kids or cats, but she would likely do well with polite and respectful children and dog-savvy cats. See more pictures of Sybil at her online album here:  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/sybil    If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Meet Binky! Oh this girl is so special! Binky arrived with us after being rescued from a cage in a breeder's backyard. That cage was all she had ever known so she was quite shut down at first. Over the past few months in our care, she has learned that humans are kind, walks are fun and life can be pretty great.  Binky is still quite timid and easily startled but she is the most gentle and kind girl. She loves affection and will gently paw you to keep the pets going. She likes to be close to you and does not love too much alone time, but she can also just comfortably snooze on the couch while you are working. She does not chew things inappropriately and is quite well potty trained. She will do best in a more quiet residential area. She may get a bit spooked in very busy or noisy areas.  Binky gets along with other dogs but does not really know how to play with them. She prefers that they don't get in her face and then she will happily co-exist. She is best in a home with older kids (over 10 only) because younger kids may startle her with sudden movements. She is not suitable for a home with cats. Our entire team adores Binky. She is the sweetest girl and deserves a loving home of her own. She is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Nova! Nova is an affectionate dog who is sweet, affectionate, a cuddler, walks well on a leash, dog friendly, and kid friendly. She is a five year old Decker Rat Terrier who has a pleasant disposition and is learning life in the inside of a home. Nova is friendly, gentle and playful and isn't one for being a couch potato.   She loves plush squeaky things! She will mouth them for a while and fetch them. Tug of war is also fun with her. Nova loves her people and will give as many kisses as you will receive.   She does well with other dogs with slow introductions and is playful and engaging with them once she feels comfortable. Nova has spent most of her life outside in a kennel. She has done very well with potty training and has the hang of it now. She is still learning to be alone at times, so her foster family is working on crate training with lots of positive reinforcement. She remains calmer if she can see her human. If she cannot see her human, she is persistent at letting her needs be known that she needs to see someone. At the moment we are crate training a few hours at a time and at night. Overall, Nova is super sweet and would do well in a home with a family or another dog. She currently lives with children between 6-12 in her foster home and does well with them. No cats for Nova! She does not prefer someone who has extensive time away. She is very curious about little humans and loves to chase or squeeze a toy. She is the kind of girl who will cherish someone near her at all times. Nova is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
