***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation***
Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues.
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA & Oregano but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA.
Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal due to the fees & charges they charge the rescue but if the potential adopter pays them we will accept PayPal.
Sweet baby Riley (Nare was her original name), was abandoned on a remote hill top in Korea. Thankfully our wonderful rescue partner was in the right place at the right time and rescued her and her littermates. As a mixed breed pup in Korea there is no future for Riley. Our Korean friends reached out to us for help with finding them forever homes.
UPDATE: Due to no fault of Riley’s she has found herself looking for a loving forever home again. We are so beyond devastated for this amazing girl. We currently have Riley being loved by many different people at our vets while we find her that special forever home who will love her as she should be loved.
Riley can be the only dog in the home so she gets all the attention & devotion. She is such a sweetheart once she knows you & you become her world.
Riley loves to go on walks & is a fabulous walker, her previous mum said she does not like a harness. We have been walking her on a slip lead & she has been doing amazing on the slip lead. Her previous mum also said she enjoys being outside. She has been going on a couple of walks a day with us & while in our vets care. Riley will be a runner so she must always be on a leash or slip lead for her safety.
When excited her whole body wags & moves with excitement.
She is shy at times but will open up & likes other dogs when outside but needs time & courage to go up to them
Riley does well going in the car & just wants to please you & make you happy. She is a very sweet little Miss, can be nervous around strangers until she knows them. She would do well going with her people to work or if they worked from home where she could always be with them. She absolutely hates crates, so no crates for this little lady.
Riley is getting a dental scale/polish & dental x-rays while in the rescue ready for her new loving forever home.
Riley is currently in a foster home with her brother Myong Su. She loves to play nonstop and has loads of puppy energy and endless curiosity. She enjoys being held, playing with stuffed toys and exploring the backyard. Being a pet is a new experience for Riley and she will need work with potty training and basic obedience.
Riley has not been around young children but does well with the older kids in her foster home. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets & children.
Riley is about 3 years old & weighs around 25 lbs. Based on her appearance we believe she is a Jack Russell mix, but what she is mixed with we are not sure? She has been spayed by laser, had her dewclaws removed, will be receiving a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. She was treated for an upper respiratory infection with antibiotics & for a fever. She was dewormed, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Riley is microchipped and has been wormed.
We have spent far more on Riley with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, without anything else then on top of that paying for her medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish & x-rays, along with spaying her by laser, removing her dewclaws, shots, microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering.
Riley has been around cats since being in the rescue & in her previous home & could not care about the cats but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had her around small children but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats.
We were not there when Riley was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.
As with all of our rescues & Riley’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Riley potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.
We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Riley & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Riley who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet girl.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Riley has an adoption fee of $795 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
