✅Currently located in South Korea✅️💟Available to fly to SEA💟The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate.Meet Kangmin❤️1️⃣ Health Condition Neutered. Microchipped. * Was diagnosed with a rare heart condition where there is a membrane in the blood vessel leading from the right atrium to the lungs. Is currently being monitored regularly and treatment may be necessary if symptoms appear later. Has a rare heart condition now, so we're keeping walks to a minimum. It's important to keep him calm because getting too excited can put a strain on his heart.2️⃣ Rescue Story Kangmin was found abandoned and was rescued by the fire department following a report. Before being moved to a shelter, he was temporarily cared for at the fire station. After hearing his story, Adogs decided to rescue him to provide more stable care and protection.3️⃣ Basic Information With People: Barks at strangers and can appear intimidated or cautious. Once he gets used to you, he approaches first and allows touching! Is a bit flinch at first, but he actually loves being petted once he warms up. His reaction to children is unknown as he hasn't met any yet. With Dogs: Tends to be mostly indifferent to other dogs. Prefers being alone to getting together with them. With Cats: Didn't really show much interest when he ran into a cat in the kennel. Separation Anxiety: Stays calm and shows no signs of anxiety when left alone. Potty Training: Mostly does outdoor potty. Occasionally urinates in his kennel. Hygiene: Due to his cautious nature, he may show mild defensive nipping or yelp when being handled for hygiene. However, he tolerates brushing well. Walks: Overexcitement can be hard on his heart, so we're keeping walks to a minimum. Car Sickness: Does not show symptoms of motion sickness during car rides. No aggressive biting. However, he may nip defensively/weakly when getting shots at the vet, having his nails trimmed, or trying to wipe away his tear stains. Barks defensively only when strangers enter his territory or when he hears external noises. Loves treats. Feels uncomfortable when hands approach his face or when someone tries to pick him up. Is afraid of sudden touches. Was scared of vet visits at first, but he’s getting a little better now. * Doesn’t have a high energy level. Rather than hanging out with other dogs, he feels more comfortable being on his own, but he's not just shy. Is such a brave boy, slowly opening up to the world at his own pace.

Story
Meet Loke — curious, sensitive, and looking for a soft place to land. Formerly shy, but becoming bolder by the day. Loke is an attentive and active household member. She is eager to hop on your work calls, distract you with a toy squeak or alert you of the slightest door closing. She’s a tender little soul who’s still learning personal boundaries with her humans and fellow dogs. She’s a little anxious and nervous, but also keenly curious! She will need a patient, and experienced home to build confidence and redirect her inquisitive energy. She is quick to learn new tricks and exists happily with other dogs. We expect with the proper training, she would thrive as an outdoorsy dog, or in the world of agility! Loke’s potty training has made a lot of progress but she still has the occasional accident inside. Her foster is giving her lots of love, and consistent bathroom breaks while she works through this phase. Loke is a high-energy and intelligent dog who is learning to be confident and walk on a leash. Her foster started training basic commands to help hone in her energy. She’s learned sit, come, and down already. She’ll need time, consistency, and a calm home to meet her where she is while helping her explore new tricks! If you’re looking for an active dog who also needs a slow and steady home to build their confidence, Loke may be the one who quietly steals your heart. ----- A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means: ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment. ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing). ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed. The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like. Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are. Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Under AKR Custody Review (Adoption temporarily on hold pending resolution of foster situation) Currently in Vancouver!!! Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches)   Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. He’s looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and loved — could that be with you? He is currently in foster care, waiting for his forever home.   Personality & Socialization: Bob is incredibly affectionate and social. He doesn’t just bond with familiar people—he happily approaches strangers as well, leaning in for pets and attention.   He is very gentle and wonderful with children, including those under 13, and can be comfortably picked up.   He is just as friendly with other dogs, greeting both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often inviting them to play.   Bob has also been cat-tested and showed calm, polite behavior around cats. Even when he sees cats on walks, Bob stays focused on his handler rather than reacting.   Energy Level & Behavior: Bob has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but settles down calmly at home afterward.   He may pull on the leash at times, but overall he follows his handler well and stays engaged.   He does not guard food from people or other dogs.   Bob may bark briefly in a soft, playful way when he wants something, but he is not a persistent barker.   Training & Habits: Calm in a crate Mostly outdoor potty Takes medication easily Not picky with food   Overall: Bob is a gentle, easygoing, and incredibly loving dog who gets along beautifully with both people and other animals.   He’s known for his bright, happy “smile,” especially during walks—his favourite activity!   He is confident in new environments and very social, greeting new people without hesitation. Bob is also very loyal and attentive to his person, making him a wonderful companion for many types of families.
