Story
Meet Boki!

Boki’s Story
Rescued as a tiny puppy, Boki was adopted in Korea in July. We hoped he had found a family to grow up with and love for a lifetime.
Sadly, just one month after his adoption, Boki broke his left hind leg in a fall. His family could no longer care for him, and he was surrendered in need of surgery. At only a few months old, he was facing both a painful injury and the loss of his home.
Boki underwent surgery on August 25 and has since recovered. Despite everything, he remains a loving, trusting puppy who happily approaches new people and offers his belly for rubs.
Now, we’re hoping his next family will be the one who stays—through the happy days and the times he needs them most.
With People
Boki is an affectionate little social butterfly! He approaches familiar people and strangers alike, rubbing against them for attention and happily accepting pets. Treats make making friends even easier!
He likes both men and women and has been comfortable around children under 13. He accepts being picked up and held, and he may show you his belly on your very first meeting.
With Other Dogs
Boki is friendly and playful with other dogs, happily approaching both familiar friends and new faces to say hello and invite them to play. He especially enjoys playing with dogs around his own age!
He readily shows his belly to bigger dogs and can get a little enthusiastic when playing with younger or quieter friends.
With Cats
Boki has not yet been observed around cats. A cat test can be arranged.
Energy Level
Boki has a moderate energy level. He enjoys walks, outdoor activities, and lively playtime, then settles down nicely to rest afterward.
On Walks
Boki walks well without pulling and enjoys following his person while stopping to sniff and explore.
He gives passing people and bicycles a little space and watches unfamiliar dogs without barking. Drain covers sometimes make him hesitate, but a tasty treat helps him cross.
Mealtimes
Boki does not guard food from people. He may growl if another dog approaches while he is eating, so he should have his own space to enjoy meals undisturbed.
At Home
Boki is generally quiet and rarely barks. Kennel confinement is still challenging for him: he may bark, whine, or howl at first, then usually lie down and rest after about 10 minutes. He’ll need patience and gentle, gradual practice to feel more comfortable.
Potty Habits
Boki currently uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. He’ll need time and a consistent routine as he adjusts to a new home.
Boki is still just a puppy, with so much growing, learning, and loving ahead of him. We’re looking for a family who will enjoy his playful spirit, guide him patiently, and give him the lasting home he deserves.
