Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hello, I’m Bella! I’m a 6-month-old female Jindo mix, weighing a petite 10 lbs. I may be small, but my story is one of resilience and hope.  I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where my future was uncertain. Thanks to the dedication of compassionate rescuers, I’ve been given a second chance to find a loving family who will cherish me for the rest of my life.  I’m a playful, curious, and loving little girl who’s ready to explore the world with you. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a cuddle on the couch, or a fun game in the backyard, I’m always eager to be by your side. I get along well with other dogs and love meeting kind, gentle humans of all ages.  At just 6 months old, I’m still learning about the world and discovering new things every day. With patience, kindness, and a little guidance, I’ll blossom into the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for.  I’d love a home where I can feel safe and adored. As a rescued dog, I may need some time to adjust to my new surroundings, but with your support, I’ll thrive. To help with my transition, we recommend working with our experienced pet rescue trainer.  My adoption fee is $1,195 (tax-deductible and supports future rescues) and includes: Spay, DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations, Deworming and Heartworm testing, Microchip, Boarding fees, health certificate, and transport from Korea to Seattle.  For my safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.  By adopting me, you’re not just changing my life—you’re helping Ginger’s Pet Rescue save more dogs like me. Your support enables this 501(c)(3) nonprofit to continue rescuing and rehoming dogs in need.  Email admin@gingerspetrescue.org to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. Donations to support veterinary care at Greenwood Vet are always welcome and help make rescues like mine possible.  If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with a big heart and an even bigger future, I might just be the one for you. Let’s start our new adventure together—I can’t wait to meet you!January 8, 2025, 4:11 am

Story
Guksoo is still looking for a loving family He is currently fostered in Barrie, ON. Guksoo is a neutered Jindo mix boy who is about 4 years old.He can be shy at first, but slowly warms up over time, and tends to trust women more than men. Deep down he loves people and wants to be with them all the time! When he first came into his foster home, he was very shy but would timidly ask for pets by slowly pawing at the humans. Now, he has become more social and will come up to strangers with a wagging tail to ask for pets and treats! He still continues to paw at his foster parents when he wants attention, and loves to snuggle and give kisses first thing in the morning. He is okay and gentle with kids, but can be startled by sudden movements. After some time, good food, and lots of walks, he will open up and give you lots of kisses and hugs When it comes to other dogs, Guksoo LOVES to play! And especially loves girl dogs. He loves to run and play with his doggy friends and is excited to play with both new and familiar friends. With his foster sibling, he loves to groom her and give her lots of kisses. However, he is still learning that not all dogs like to play, especially on leash, and he can get a bit frustrated when he sees another dog on a walk that he cant say hi to. He is learning how to be neutral to other dogs while walking and responds well to his handler. He has a medium energy level, he loves going for walks and exploring, and rests well once at home. He has a low prey drive and ignores cats when he meets them while on walks, but sometimes likes to chase birds and squirrels. He is currently fostered with bunnies and lived with a cat for a short time, he is very gentle with them and leaves them alone after a quick sniff. On walks, Guksoo can be a bit excited at first but will eventually relax and walk by his handler’s side, occasionally stopping to sniff. He rarely pulls unless he sees another dog or a small animal but is easily redirected. He is fully potty trained outdoors. Guksoo Rarely barks, only when a stranger knocks on the door or if something new startles him. He has no destructive behaviours and can be left alone in the home without any issues. He loves to chew and enjoys playing with his chew toys or a long lasting treat.  Will you welcome this sweet boy into your family? Story
Meet Roy, a 2-year-old neutered male Shiba–Jindo mix with a warm brown coat and a heart of gold. Weighing 17kg and standing 51cm tall at the shoulder, Roy was rescued from a city shelter in January 2025, just in time to avoid euthanasia. After some time in a temporary foster home, he’s now thriving in his current foster environment and is ready to find a forever family who will match his big, affectionate personality. Roy is a total people-pup—he loves attention and is quick to approach both familiar faces and strangers alike, happily leaning in for pets and offering up his belly, even to someone he just met. He’s incredibly gentle with children under 13 and has no issues being picked up, cradled with a supportive arm under his belly. Affection is his love language, and he absolutely thrives on being doted on. With other dogs, Roy is generally friendly and social. He eagerly greets new pups and usually gets along best with dogs that are larger than him. He’s kind to smaller or similarly sized dogs, too, and is especially respectful (and even a little bashful!) around female dogs. Roy can be reactive if other dog provokes him tho, and he once got into a scuffle when an intact male tried to mount him. He loved being petted and getting attention from his humans so tends to get jealous if another dog receives affection from his human, which is why Roy probably would do best as the only dog in the household—where he can soak up all the love without having to share. Roy is not a fan of cats. He gets overstimulated when he sees cats or birds on walks and will try to chase them, so a cat-free home is a must. He has a moderate energy level, enjoying outdoor time and sniff-filled walks but settling down nicely afterward. On leash, he does pull a bit and loves to stop frequently for scent checks, but he’s generally responsive to his handler. He’s more comfortable in quieter areas, as busy roads can make him nervous. Roy is food-motivated but not food-guarding—he shares politely with both people and dogs. He’s not much of a barker, though he might let out the occasional bark while watching TV. When you come home, expect a full-on celebration—he’ll bounce around with joy and look for you if you’re out of sight, so he may not do well in homes where people are away for long stretches. He can get in and out of the car by himself, and travels quietly—though he occasionally gets carsick and might throw up. He primarily does his business outdoors. Roy is an affectionate, people-loving pup who will thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and a whole lot of heart to his forever family! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. If interested, please contact us. ##2369870##
