Story
Who run the world? Girls! That's my theme song and for good reason..not like anyone needs a reason to belt out Beyonc songs but... I'm 50 Lbs of all girl power. Makita's the name and treats are my game. Did you know the name Makita is old Aramaic for Queen of Sheba? Coincidentally it's also a high end Japanese brand of power tools. How's that for Seven degrees of Kevin Bacon? Bacon is also delishous! My rescue is pretty sure that I'm a Sheba Inu/ Korean Jindo mix of some sort. Sheba Inu is one of the very oldest breeds of dogs originating in Japan. They go back 9000 yrs..that's like 25438917716 thousands hundred dog years. In case that's ever a Jeopardy question..you're welcome. See? I'm smart too. I'm a happy and young girl though at only 2 years old. I enjoy my well mannered kennel mates, love puppies and puppy play, and all the people. Are you starting to wane on all those lofty health goals you set a few months ago? I can help! I'm an active girl and we can take runs, long walks,I can teach you to play ball or throw my stuffies while I run in circles and keep you in tip top shape. Now who wants to step up and be the Queen of Shiba's new plus one? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Jacob from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 7 month old male  Mini-Jindo.  I am approximately 24 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, and friendly.  l was saved from the Korean dog meat trade.  I don’t know how I ended up there but I was so scared and I used to hear the cries from the other dogs as they were taken away.  The activists came and saved us and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,595 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail  admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application.  June 9, 2023, 5:11 am

Story
Hi, I'm Astro, a 5-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. Playing fetch is hard but I'm learning to "drop it". I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $350.
