Meet Arh🩷 💙 Arh’s Foster Account: @imbo_arh 1⃣ Health Condition * Not spayed yet. * Not microchipped yet 2⃣ Rescue Story * Arh was rescued during an Adogs volunteer trip to the Gimje City Shelter to help prepare for winter. Seeing her shivering in the cold wind, we decided to rescue her immediately to prevent potential exposure to infectious diseases at the shelter. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗ As a young puppy, she may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, teething/biting, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling, and barking. Consistent training and patience are required. ❗ Since her parents are unknown, it is difficult to predict her shedding levels or final adult size. * With People: Is a bit shy at first but once she becomes familiar, she really likes people. She follows you around to stay close by, and looks for you if she can’t see you. * With Dogs: Got along well with other dogs at the Adoogs Center. Tends to be on the calmer side when around her furry friends. Sometimes approaches other dogs to play. * With Cats: Has not had any interactions with them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Doesn’t have symptoms of anxiety. * Potty Training: Is still scared of potty pads. Uses a silicone mat for potty and does well with it. * Hygiene: Does well with baths, drying, brushing, and nail trimming. * Walks: Has no experience walking on a leash yet, as her vaccinations are not yet complete. * Car Sickness: Drools due to car sickness, and vomits when it’s severe. * Barking: Doesn’t bark when no one is around, but whines and looks for you if she knows you’re near but she can’t see you. * Biting: Is docile and doesn’t bite. * Likes: Likes toys. * Dislikes: Is a bit scared of noises outside the home and of strangers. * Tricks: Knows how to ‘sit,’ ‘paw,’ ‘high five,’ wait,’ and ‘lie down.’

Story
Meet Cocoon Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 16 kg (35 lbs) Height: 49 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story   Cocoon was rescued from a small mountain village where he had been confined in a raised wire cage, kept for meat purposes along with two other dogs. A kind individual began secretly taking care of them. Around Boknal (the traditional summer days associated with dog meat consumption), the two other dogs disappeared. Determined to save the remaining dog, a report for abuse was filed, and after significant confrontation with the owner, Cocoon was finally rescued in October 2025.   He is now experiencing life outside of a cage for the very first time.   ‍‍‍ Social with People   Cocoon is affectionate and friendly, not only with familiar people but also with strangers. He happily approaches for pets and leans his body in for affection.   He currently lives with children under 13 and does very well with them.   When his people return home, he can get overly excited and may jump up enthusiastically — younger children could accidentally get knocked over during these moments. With structure and training, this can continue to improve.   He allows being picked up (arms under his belly) and will show his tummy once he feels comfortable.   Social with Other Dogs   Cocoon is generally friendly and curious with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and initiate play, especially those similar in size or larger than him.   If another dog challenges him, he may respond, so careful introductions are important at first.   With dogs he knows well — especially confident “big brother” types — he can be submissive and even roll over to show his belly.   On walks, he wants to greet every dog he sees. His enthusiasm can be overwhelming for shy dogs, and if another dog reacts defensively, Cocoon may stand his ground rather than back away.   Cats   Cocoon has not been formally tested with cats. However, he does show interest in birds and small movements outdoors and may try to lunge toward them. While manageable on leash, he appears to have some prey drive. A cat-experienced home would be safest.   Energy Level   Having lived confined for much of his life, Cocoon is now discovering the world with curiosity and excitement. He is highly interested in everything happening around him.   Previously, he would become very excited when seeing other dogs during walks, but he is gradually becoming more stable and regulated.   With sufficient outdoor activity and enrichment, he settles nicely at home.   Walking   Cocoon can pull on leash, especially at the beginning of walks due to excitement and curiosity. After about 30 minutes, his energy noticeably decreases and he walks more calmly.   With consistent daily walks and routine, he continues to improve.   He enjoys sniffing much more than fast walking — expect lots of stop-and-go sniff breaks.   Other Behaviors   • Does not guard food from humans • May growl if another dog approaches while eating • Accepts treats politely when sitting side-by-side • Can be vocal when playing with other dogs • Calm in a kennel • Jumps in and out of the car independently • Primarily eliminates outdoors • Marks frequently during walks   Ideal Home   Cocoon would thrive in an active home that can provide: Consistent structure and leadership Proper dog introductions Continued leash and impulse control training Plenty of outdoor enrichment   He is a resilient, affectionate survivor who is learning what it means to be safe and loved.   After everything he has endured, Cocoon deserves a home where he will never be confined again — only cherished. Story
Meet Odong-i 🐾 A beautiful 2-year-old Jindo mix girl, weighing about 10kilos, with a heart that has grown stronger every single day. Odong-i was transferred to Dream Tails after facing euthanasia at a city shelter. When she first arrived, she was very underweight and had clearly known hunger. She would eat quickly and protect her food, afraid it might disappear. But with time, consistent care, and full meals every day, Odong-i began to relax. She gained healthy weight and learned that food would always be there. Today, she can eat comfortably, even around other dogs. Beyond her resilience, Odong-i is a truly affectionate and joyful girl. She loves being brushed and petted, soaking up every bit of attention. She plays beautifully with other dogs and genuinely enjoys being around humans — her trust and warmth are so special to witness. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys calm strolls by your side. Odong-i has likely never lived inside a home before, so she will need gentle guidance with potty training, learning household routines, and understanding how to stay alone — just like many dogs when they first transition into a new environment. With patience, consistency, and love, she is expected to adapt well. Odong-i’s past may have been uncertain, but her future doesn’t have to be. She is ready for a family who will continue to show her she is safe, cherished, and finally home for good. Could Odong-i be the missing piece your heart has been waiting for?

Meet Heedong 🐾 A gentle, loving 2-year-old Jindo mix girl, weighing around 18 kilos, who is still patiently waiting for her forever home. Heedong was saved by devoted volunteers at another city shelter when she had nowhere else to go. With no foster or adoption options available, she was transferred to Dream Tails, where she is safe — but still hoping for the stability of a family of her own. Heedong is a truly kind and emotionally balanced dog. She is very social with people and other dogs, wonderful with children, and incredibly affectionate. Because she loves humans so much, she can get very excited and may jump up on people to greet them — something that can be easily guided with gentle training. She walks calmly on leash and enjoys exploring the world by your side. While she has never lived inside a home before, she is intelligent and eager to learn. With routine and guidance, she is expected to adjust quickly. She may briefly growl if another dog approaches during meals, but this behavior is limited to feeding time and easily managed. Heedong has already shown remarkable patience and resilience. What she needs now is stability, love, and a place to belong. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who bonds deeply and brings quiet joy into a home, Heedong may be the dog you’ve been waiting for.

Story
Meet Mountain Age: 9 months Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 14.5 kg (32 lbs) Height: 49 cm (shoulder)   Rescue Story Mountain was born on the streets to a mother suffering from a severe skin condition. After a resident reported the family, only the puppies were captured and taken to a city shelter. Tragically, parvo spread through the shelter and all of his siblings passed away except Mountain and one other puppy.   Mountain is a survivor — resilient, gentle, and ready for a second chance at life.   ‍‍ Social with People Mountain can be a little shy at first, but treats are the fastest way to his heart. Once he feels comfortable, he allows gentle petting and gradually opens up.   He initially had strong resistance to being held, so he is currently working through positive reinforcement touch training to help him feel safe with new people. With familiar people, he accepts affection well and even shows his belly once bonded. • Comfortable with both men and women • No experience yet with children under 13 • Can be lifted by supporting under his belly, though being carried is not his favorite • No food guarding toward people   Social with Other Dogs Mountain is friendly and affectionate with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite play. • More comfortable with dogs his size or smaller • Tends to avoid very high-energy dogs • Gains confidence and emotional stability when another dog is around   Because he relies heavily on canine companionship, he would thrive in a home with another gentle, balanced dog.   Cats On walks, he watches cats with curiosity but follows his handler when redirected. A formal cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level Mountain loves playing with dog friends at the yard and enjoys active outdoor time. After exercise, he settles down calmly to rest. • Finished teething • Still young, so he enjoys chewing toys and sometimes blankets • Typical playful adolescent energy balanced with a calm indoor demeanor   Walks Mountain is still building confidence outdoors. When something unfamiliar appears (approaching people, passing cars), he may stop and hesitate. • Currently in ongoing leash training • Walks well in quiet areas • Nervous on busy roads • May need patience and gentle encouragement   With consistency and a confident handler, his confidence continues to grow.   Additional Notes • No food guarding with dogs or people • No separation anxiety toward humans • May bark or cry when left completely alone without another dog • Calm in a kennel • Afraid of getting into the car and needs to be gently lifted in • Primarily eliminates outdoors, but may need a little time during walks to go   Mountain is a sensitive, affectionate survivor who blossoms with patience and canine companionship. He is looking for a calm, understanding family who will continue building his confidence and give him the stability he has never truly known. Story
Meet Taeyang Gentle, loyal, and quietly blossoming.   Name: Taeyang Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Ivory Weight: 17.5 kg Height (shoulder): 53 cm   Rescue Story In December 2024, a pregnant stray mother gave birth to three puppies at an abandoned gas station. Local residents provided food and basic care after receiving trapping assistance from an animal group.   When redevelopment began and the gas station was scheduled for demolition, the entire family was rescued on March 17.   At the end of July, the three puppies entered the AKR Center. They were initially very timid, so they have undergone consistent socialization and training over the past six months. One sibling(Gureum) has already been adopted, and Taeyang is now ready to find his forever home   ‍‍ With People Taeyang can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly — especially with treats. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes very affectionate and will happily bounce around showing his playful side.   Because he can feel anxious in new environments, he needs a patient introduction period when arriving somewhere new. However, thanks to about six months of structured training, he knows basic commands like sit and wait. Using calm guidance and treat rewards helps him build trust very smoothly.   He has been comfortable with both women and men during training. He has not been tested with children under 13.   He allows handling, can be lifted by placing an arm under his belly, and once bonded, will even show his belly for rubs   With Other Dogs Taeyang is friendly and sociable. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite play.   He generally prefers dogs of similar size and can feel overwhelmed by very high-energy dogs. Even when another dog challenges him, he tends to avoid conflict. There is one particular dog that barks intensely at him; he will avoid and tolerate repeatedly, and may respond once if pushed — overall showing a very gentle temperament.   With Cats When seeing cats on walks, he stays focused on his handler and may even feel unsure around them. He does not display prey drive.   Energy Level Moderate energy. He enjoys outdoor activities but settles down calmly after exercise.   ‍ Walks He initially had a leash resistance, so leash training was introduced gradually and gently.   Now, in quiet areas like parks, he walks very well and comfortably eliminates outdoors. On busier roads with heavy traffic or crowds, he may hesitate slightly. Walking with unfamiliar people may take a little extra time for adjustment.   Additional Notes • Has food motivation but does not guard food from people or other dogs • No separation anxiety, but since he has always lived around other dogs, he may feel some initial unease if left completely alone • Rarely barks, but may bark if frightened by a stranger • Has ridden in cars but is still a bit nervous about getting in and needs to be gently lifted • Currently eliminates outdoors; tends to go once he is familiar with the walking route   Taeyang is a soft-hearted, gentle boy who has blossomed beautifully with patience and consistent guidance. He will thrive in a calm, understanding home that gives him time to build confidence.   If you are looking for a loyal companion who will quietly grow alongside you, Taeyang may be your perfect match Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook page and Instagram!
