You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.   The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi, I’m Logan! I’m a 6-month-old male Jindo mix, tipping the scales at 12 lbs. of pure love and potential. My journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m here today because kindhearted people believed in giving me a chance.  I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where every day felt uncertain. Thanks to the tireless efforts of rescuers, my life was spared, and now I’m on a path to finding something I’ve never known before, a loving forever home.  I’m a playful, curious little boy with so much to give. I love exploring the world around me, snuggling close to my humans, and learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy the company of kind people who understand that life has been a bit overwhelming for me at times.  At just 6 months old, I’m still discovering who I am and the joy that life can bring. With your patience, encouragement, and love, I’ll grow into the loyal and loving companion you’ve been dreaming of.  I’m looking for a family who will see me not just for my past but for the incredible future we can share together. I might need a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but with your support, I’ll thrive. To help me settle in and feel confident, our experienced pet rescue trainer is available to guide us both.  My adoption fee is $1,195 (tax-deductible and helps save more dogs in need) and includes Neuter, DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations, Deworming and Heartworm testing, Microchip, Boarding fees, health certificate and transport from Korea to Seattle.  For my safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.  When you adopt me, you’re not just giving me a home—you’re helping save other dogs who are still waiting for their chance at life. Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, uses your support to provide medical care, safety, and hope to animals in desperate need.  Email admin@gingerspetrescue.org to request an adoption application or learn more about me. Donations to support veterinary care at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible.  I long for a family to call my own and a place where I can finally belong.  Will you be the one to change my life forever?January 8, 2025, 4:11 am

Story
Hi I’m Bunny. I’m an 8-month-old Jindo mix boy, and I weigh about 10kg—smaller and daintier than most Jindos. People always say I have the purest eyes, but the world still feels a little big and unfamiliar to me. I didn’t get to grow up the way most puppies do. When I was about 3 months old, I was taken to a shelter with my siblings. Instead of learning about the world and playing with humans, I spent my early months behind metal bars, watching the world from a distance. That’s why new places, new sounds, and new people sometimes make me nervous. But… I’m changing. At the training center, I was so shy at first. I would sit quietly, just watching, unsure of what to do. But after a few days, I started wagging my tail when I saw my trainers. I even follow them around for treats and nudge them for pets. Once I trust you, I have so much love to give. I just need someone patient enough to help me feel safe. People always tell me I’m adorable and unique-looking, different from most Jindos. But I hope you don’t choose me just for that. I need someone who understands that love, for me, takes time. At first, I might not come running to you. I might not sit beside you right away. But if you wait for me, if you give me time, one day I’ll come to you on my own—and when I do, it will mean everything. I get along really well with other dogs and love playing with them. I don’t start fights, and I know how to enjoy myself with friends. But with humans, I need a little more time and patience. I’m still learning about potty training—right now, I go outside three times a day, and I’m slowly getting into a routine. I also need extra safety precautions for walks because loud noises scare me, and my strong Jindo instincts might make me try to run back to where I feel safe. Until we build trust, I’ll need a secure double leash and harness when we go outside. I know I might not be the easiest dog at first. But if you choose to wait for me, believe in me, and love me just as I am, I promise I will give you my whole heart in return.

Story
Samuel is a 1-year 6-month-old male Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 17 kg. At just six months old, Samuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with his sibling, Yuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and he is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining his trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with his forever family. Samuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to his traumatic past, he tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When he first arrived at our training center, he was very shy, but after a few days, he gradually opened up and revealed his naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because he does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until he fully bonds with his new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Samuel has an independent streak. However, he also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once he builds trust, he expresses deep affection. Samuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with his sibling, Yuel. Since they have spent so much time together, he may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. He currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with his canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once he settles in, he should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking him on walks only after he has bonded with his new family. Due to his Jindo mix heritage, he has a strong homing instinct. If he is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, he may become confused and instinctively try to find his way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after he fully recognizes his adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Samuel still carries emotional scars from his traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for his trust, Samuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Story
I'm a 15kg male Jindo mix with a compact, sturdy frame and a calm, gentle soul. With my chic, elegant features, I might look like a classic Jindo, but personality-wise, I’m all softness and charm. My favourite thing in the world is YOU. Well, humans in general. I warm up pretty quickly, even to strangers—just give me a couple of treats and I’ll be wagging my tail and walking over with a curious smile. I love being near people and quietly hanging out by your side. I'm not really into being picked up or hugged tightly, but I do love soft pets and meaningful moments. If you respect my space and let me come to you in my own time, I promise our bond will grow into something special. I get along well with other dogs, too. I don’t start fights, and I’m usually pretty quiet and mellow. Whether it's in a multi-dog household or out on a walk, I’m just happy to be around without causing any trouble. Speaking of walks—I enjoy them! I like strolling, sniffing around, and taking in the world at my own pace. New places and loud noises can startle me a bit, so I appreciate when my human lets me explore at a calm, steady rhythm. That helps me feel safe. Oh, and a little secret about me? I can be a tiny bit dramatic when I encounter something new or uncomfortable. Nothing serious, just a little overreaction now and then—but I promise it’s part of my charm! I’m still working on my house training. I’ve never really lived inside a home before, so I’m just getting the hang of indoor life. But I’m a very smart, so with patience, consistency, and lots of love, I know I’ll catch on. At heart, I’m a sweet, quiet dog who’s ready to build a lifelong friendship. If you're someone who values gentle companionship and is happy to move at my pace, I think we could be something really special. I'm ready whenever you are. With love, Huchu 🐾

Hooti can't seem to stop havin' a hoot! This puppy is having the time of her life right now and can't wait to be adopted by a loving, caring, and fun-having family! Hooti was rescued by a very nice foster and is currently learning how to be the best puppy ever. She's working on crate and house training and doing okay in both. Hooti tends to be a screamer when she's in the crate and knows your about to let her out. Hooti tends to sleep through the night but might need a potty break. Hooti is your typical puppy who loves to play and chews on things, she loves playing hard with other dogs but might be a bit too much with littles and seniors. She tends to chase cats. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Jesse James is a calm, cool & collected easy going guy. The noise & confusion of busy events or barking & chaos of all the dogs never phases him. Jesse walks great on leash is crate trained and likes car rides especially if he gets to ride shotgun :)He likes to sit with his person watching what's going on- kind of like that "nosy neighbor.. but a LOT cuter :) It takes Jesse a little while to trust new people or to feel safe in new places but not too long. In no time he'll approach for pats or treats. Good with dogs and accepts pets from strangers or kids. Jesse James went from, the streets to a rescuer in Louisiana, then to a boarding place when his rescuer got very ill ;( His rescuer passed away and he was then transferred to a high kill pound in LA ;( Our rescue saw him with several other dogs who were from the same rescuer and decided to save two of them!! His friend was adopted pretty quickly but Jesse was more reserved and traumatized by all the changes in his life... I mean, as we get older we definitely are slower to adjust :) Now he is READY for his real family!! He is a great boy, and just like a chow he loves his people! He has waited for this opportunity so we are praying that the right family will see him and say... WE have been waiting for Jesse James too!!! ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!!!
