*PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org * Drake is loving life in his foster home, but now it’s time for him to find his furever family… We rescued Drake back in 2020. He is a 7 year old pup now and we guess he is a labradoodle mix. He was adopted a few years ago but recently, instead of contacting us to surrender the Drake back to us when they were unable to keep him, the adopter brought him to the shelter. Not only did they bring him to the shelter, they told the shelter to EUTHANIZE HIM!! Why? Because he is reactive/ doesn’t get along with small dogs, something they knew when they adopted him. Thankfully we were notified and able to get him back into our care quickly. He has been doing so well in foster and deserves to finally find the right people. Drake is a big boy (100+ pounds, but does need to lose some weight) and loves cuddles. He greatly enjoys long walks and car rides. He is super smart and food motivated. Drake is a go with the flow dude who just wants people to love. He would be best as the only animal in the home and with people committed to managing his reactivity. He is very easy to redirect with treats and will thrive with the right people. Drake is currently being fostered in Santa Monica, California area but can be adopted anywhere as long as you can come to SoCal and drive home. *PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org . He came to A Home 4 Ever through no fault of his own after his beloved owner was no longer able to care for him. Now, thriving in his foster home, Remy has shown just how much he loves human companionship, stability, a regular routine, playing fetch with his lambchop and daily walks where he can engage his keen sense of smell as he explores the neighborhood. Remy is a perfect gentleman, house-trained, always studying the world around him and on the lookout for a good challenge, so he can learn something new. He considers each day a grand adventure and, on his daily walks, never misses a chance to invite any creature he comes across for a meet and greet. But most of all, he wants to be close to his human, enjoy quality couch time and the safety and stability of a home where he knows he is loved and cherished. Because he is very attached to his person, he will need time to warm up to a new environment and calm his separation anxiety, but once he gets to know you and his place in the household, he will be your typical loyal and loving poodle companion. This little cutie is Calvin. He’s a 3 year old, 45 lb, neutered lab mix. He LOVES PEOPLE and meets everyone with the most happy & GENTLE, kindness. He can be very chill and CUDDLY, but he’s also not needy, clingy, or nervous. He’s crate trained, too! He’s happy to just watch tv with you, or get out and about on a good walk. He loves walks and to sniff and explore. Calvin enjoys playing with the 4 dogs who belong to his rescuer. Calvin has so much love to give, and he’d be a great companion for someone who wants to play, go on walks, cuddle, and go on car rides. Calvin is working on leash skills and manners walking by other dogs. He does not react to the cats and chickens on the property. Come out and meet Calvin! You're sure to fall in love.

He is a goofy boy and still very much puppy like. He gets along good with my two other dogs (boxer and boxer/husky girls), and loves his people he bonds with and learns to trust. He is a curious shy boy at first but once he warms up, he is ready to play and he loves his toys! He can use some help walking better on a leash and to not be so scared but I can see as he builds his confidence, he is only going to get better! He is very treat motivated and wants to please. He is a happy pup that is house trained and pee pee pad trained. He can use some support/training to learn to not jump up when he gets extra excited when he sees his people. He loves to be inside and also likes his time in the yard. He currently has his own setup in the garage that he seems to appreciate. He is somewhat crate trained, I leave the door open for him to his crate but that is where he sleeps and where he goes if he feels uncomfortable or scared. R&R Boxer Rescue has committed to supporting Brody, and finding him his forever family after his previous "rescue" abandoned all dogs they had pulled.
