Story
Rome is a 6.5 year old fixed male Lab mix. He is an amazing loving dog that loves to be around people. He loves meeting new people either with visitors or strangers on the street. He is good at the dog park although I did stop bringing him to the dog park because he was attacked by another dog causing stitches. He is great with cats and kids. Amazing on a leash. He does not pull. His favorite pass time is going on walks. He loves his walks. He is also good with car rides. At home, he is pretty mellow. He is off and on with chew toys. Will play tug of war and he loves his treats. Rome is house trained and crate trained. He knows sit, stay, down, lay, speak, bed time, up, down, heel (needs reinforcement on this) , and knows the word walk I have to relocate and Rome cent come with. I have tried family and friends and no luck. He is honestly an amazing dog. You will be very lucky to have him part of your life. Please reach out for a meet and greet.

Story
Eddie is a 1-year-old Black Lab who is sweet, strong, and incredibly loyal! Weighing in at around 55 pounds, he’ll stick by your side like it’s his full-time job. This young pup is house-trained and crate-trained. He does well in his crate for extended periods, settling in after a few minutes. Eddie loves standing on his hind legs to watch the world through the window or gently grabbing your hand with his paw just to keep you close. He loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and most of all, your attention. He usually has at least two walks a day and some active play like tug-of-war or zoomies around the yard. His leash manners are still a work in progress, so his future family should give some extra training to help guide him.He would prefer a home where someone is around often. Loud noises and unfamiliar people can spook him, but with patience and routine, he’s learning to feel more confident. Eddie is not able to live in a home with other dogs because he becomes very overstimulated when he sees them. He hasn’t lived with cats or children.Eddie is looking for a home to grow up in and give love in return! Are you ready for Eddie? If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $250. Story
This 11-week-old Lab/Shepherd mix has the sweetest eyes you’ve ever seen! At 11 lbs, this little guy will tell you a whole story with his eyes. His foster family says he loves to say "lady, do you really need to keep kissing me?"Mateo loves to explore every little thing that lands on the floor, and then dramatically flop down for a nap in the warmest, coziest spot he can find. He would climb into the basket of blankets under the Christmas tree to nap. Mateo has a great history with dogs and absolutely adores them, though he’s still learning polite puppy manners and can get a little jumpy with excitement. He loves to play hard with his brothers and chase squeaky toys.He hasn’t been around cats yet, so he will need a proper introduction. Mateo has done well so far with kids ages 8 and up, but he’s teething and can be a bit nippy in typical puppy fashion. He’s gentle overall and doesn’t react negatively to children.Mateo spends short periods of time in the puppy pen with his brothers, then goes into his crate at night, singing a short lullaby for a few minutes to himself. He's learning potty routines and what ‘outside’ means but doesn’t love going out in the cold. He does okay with puppy pads down.Mateo is not collar or leashed trained yet, so his foster family is helping him with keeping his collar on. He can also be vocal so his future family may want to be aware of this when he's feeling lonely.Mateo is a classic puppy—play hard, cuddle harder, nap hardest—and will thrive in a home ready for training, laughter, and a whole lot of love as he grows into an amazing dog.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. This 11-week-old Lab/Shepherd mix has big puppy confidence and an even bigger personality! At 12 lbs already, Ming is the leader of the pack who loves exploring, chasing his brothers, and zooming around the house with the cutest pitter-patter feet you’ve ever heard. When playtime is over, he’s all about cuddles and cozy naps in warm spots.Ming spends short periods of time in a big pen with his brothers, and he also sleeps in a crate with them at night. They like the sing a lullaby before bed together, but after a few minutes they stop and go to sleep. Ming is doing well going on puppy pads and learning what ‘outside’ means. He is adjusting to wearing a collar and spending short periods apart as he builds independence. Ming has met a few other dogs and he’s always excited about them, especially his brothers and the resident dog in his foster home. He’s still learning puppy manners, but his enthusiasm and curiosity make him a fast learner. He hasn’t met cats yet, so a proper introduction is recommended. Ming has done well in his foster home with kids ages 8 and up. He’s teething and can be a bit nippy in typical puppy fashion.Ming is a brave, happy, playful puppy who plays hard, naps hard, and will thrive with someone excited to teach him all about life, love, and how to be the very best dog.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Meet Meadow! Meadow is a confident, curious, and incredibly sweet puppy who’s ready to grow up in a loving forever home. This ~3-month-old Lab/Husky mix (best guess!) has a short, black, puppy-fuzzy coat and currently weighs about 12 pounds.. She’s made an amazing comeback after a rough start and is thriving!Meadow is smart and eager to learn. While she isn’t fully house-trained or crate-trained yet (she is a baby, after all!), she’s already showing great habits and settles quickly when briefly crated. She even chooses to nap in her open crate sometimes. This little girl loves everyone. She loves snuggles, and is happiest when she’s playing. Whether that’s wrestling with her sister, running around with other dogs, playing tug-of-war, or chewing on her toys, she’s having a good time!Meadow has a fun personality and a few adorable quirks—she’s especially fascinated by feet (human and canine alike!) and has a surprisingly big voice for her size, including the occasional sing-song “ah-woo.” She may bark briefly when left alone, but quickly settles down and often naps. She was found at about 8 weeks old with her four littermates, all cold and underweight. Meadow has bounced back beautifully and is now a healthy, happy puppy with no signs of food guarding or aggression, just enthusiastic excitement at mealtime!Meadow will likely grow into a medium-sized, energetic dog who will enjoy regular playtime and daily walks. She doesn’t require a fenced yard and would do well in a home ready to continue puppy training, provide structure, and shower her with love.If you are interested in Meadow, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Story
Skye is a one-year-old black Doodle who is bursting with energy and enthusiasm! At about 50 pounds, she is whip-smart, highly active, and always has the cutest full-body wiggles when she’s happy. Skye does shed and will need a family comfortable with regular grooming and vacuuming. This pup thrives on intense daily exercise and engagement. She will need multiple active play sessions and structured walks every day, not just a quick stroll around the block. Skye loves the mental challenge of learning new tricks, is eager to please, and picks up commands quickly, but she will require continued, consistent training with clear boundaries and follow-through.Whether it’s chasing a ball, tossing a rope toy in the air, or running alongside you, Skye is always ready for action! Because of her very high energy level, she will require a securely fenced yard in her future home to help meet her physical and mental needs.Skye is house-trained and great at signaling when she needs to go outside. She does well with her crate, including naps and bedtime. Because of her history, Skye sometimes struggles to relax and may feel fearful of new situations or people, so patience, structure, and calm leadership are key when she's adjusting to a new home. Once she's comfortable, she loves being near her people and soaking up all the belly rubs she can get. When making new friends, her foster family recommends slow, controlled introductions. She does not have experience with cats, and her reactions to meeting new dogs are mixed—sometimes she's interested, and other times she's afraid—so thoughtful management and continued socialization will be important. With her humans, she will require a home without young children (no kids under 13) because of her mouthy behavior when excited and her overall intensity.Skye is looking for an active, dog-experienced home with people who enjoy training, structure, and having a smart, loyal companion by their side. With the right outlets for her energy, ongoing training, and patience, she’ll grow into the wonderful, devoted dog she’s meant to be!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
