Story
Rocky is an energetic boy with so much love to give. He loves to play fetch all day and night, he knows some simple commands, and will make his owner so happy. He grew up with his litter mate brother which is the reason we need to give him up. It breaks our heart but we know he would be so much happier in a single dog home, preferably without children, as he is not much of a cuddler. He needs structure and lots of play time.

Story
Meet Afro. A soft soul with a brave heart. Afro is a 9 year old gentleman who has spent his life with one loving family and is now looking for a quiet, understanding home to call his own. He comes fully potty trained and already knows what it means to be part of a household. No guesswork needed. Afro is sweet, shy, and the kind of dog who takes a little time to bloom. Once he feels safe, his favorite thing in the world is a gentle back rub. That is his love language. He adores children and does wonderfully with them, making him a calm and affectionate companion for a family with kids. Because of past trauma from being bitten, Afro is not comfortable around other dogs or cats and would do best as the only pet in the home. He also pulls on the leash, so he will thrive with someone patient who understands that healing is a journey, not a race. Afro is not looking for chaos. He is looking for kindness. A peaceful home. A human who sees past his fears and recognizes his loyalty,

Story
Meet Mello – Delightfully One of a Kind Mello is the kind of dog who makes you do a double take—in the best possible way. With his short legs, slightly wiry coat, and unmistakable charm, he’s living proof that “interesting” and “absolutely adorable” go hand in hand. We’re told he’s a mini labradoodle… but honestly, Mello is just 100% Mello. At 9 years young, this guy still has plenty of pep in his step! He enjoys his walks, loves hanging out with his people, and is the kind of companion who truly values connection. Whether you’re heading out for a stroll or settling in for some couch time, Mello is all in—as long as he’s with you. Now, like any distinguished gentleman, Mello comes with a few quirks. He prefers that his prized possessions (think food or high-value treasures) are respected and not taken from him. With clear boundaries, respectful handling, and an experienced home, this is very manageable—and Mello will reward you with loyalty and love in return. Mello’s highlights:• 9 years young with just the right amount of pep• Affectionate and people-oriented• Enjoys walks and lounging alike• Delightfully unique in both looks and personality Mello is looking for a home that sees the beauty in being a little different—one that will appreciate his quirks, respect his boundaries, and love him for exactly who he is. He may not be your “typical” dog… but he just might be your perfect one Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2646105##

Story
I brought Mia home from a friend's house because her dog had given birth to a few puppies. Mia is three years old now. I hope she can be taken out more often in her new home and get to play with other dogs. She really enjoys playing with both big and small dogs at the park. She is very friendly with people and other dogs. She is truly well-behaved. I also hope her new family can give her lots of love and attention.

Story
This is Crockett, a stunning wolfhound(?)/schnauzer(?)/doodle(?)/labrador(?) mix, who was surrendered to us because city life was too exciting for him. Crockett is a big, strong boy, at almost 100lbs. He has a medium energy level and has been completely appropriate with every dog we've ever introduced him to. He is comical, eager to please, smart, affectionate.....and sometimes a bit stubborn! He is very chill and is not the kind of dog that is up in your face all the time.Crockett would do best in a suburban or rural area, with dog savvy adult owners that like to throw a ball and perhaps another dog. Due to his size, Crockett would not be a good fit for a home with children. Please note that Crockett will need regular grooming. This dog is being cared for by: National Greyhound Adoption Program 10901 Dutton Road Philadelphia, PA 19154 PA Kennel License #3069. Our adoption areas include PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, DC and NoVA.
