He comes fully potty trained and already knows what it means to be part of a household. No guesswork needed. Afro is sweet, shy, and the kind of dog who takes a little time to bloom. Once he feels safe, his favorite thing in the world is a gentle back rub. That is his love language. He adores children and does wonderfully with them, making him a calm and affectionate companion for a family with kids. Because of past trauma from being bitten, Afro is not comfortable around other dogs or cats and would do best as the only pet in the home. This is Crockett, a stunning wolfhound(?)/schnauzer(?)/doodle(?)/labrador(?) mix, who was surrendered to us because city life was too exciting for him. Crockett is a big, strong boy, at almost 100lbs. He has a medium energy level and has been completely appropriate with every dog we've ever introduced him to. He is comical, eager to please, smart, affectionate.....and sometimes a bit stubborn! He is very chill and is not the kind of dog that is up in your face all the time.Crockett would do best in a suburban or rural area, with dog savvy adult owners that like to throw a ball and perhaps another dog. Due to his size, Crockett would not be a good fit for a home with children. Please note that Crockett will need regular grooming.
