Story
I’m trying to rehome Lolex. He’s a 7 year old F1 labradoodle. He is a certified therapy dog, CGC certified, and has is hips certified. He is great with everyone older adults, kids and children with special needs. He was raised on a farm and enjoys being around other animals too. He needs to be rehomed because he needs to have more attention. He’s use to going to hospitals and schools with me but now that I work from home I can tell he’s a little depressed not having as much socialization with others like he is use too. Ideally I think he would be a great addition to a family who has an active life style or a middle aged man who wants a great companion. He’s a huge teddy bear so gentle, loving and sweet

Story
Shadow says: "Pick me! Pick me! My name is Shadow, and I'm up for adoption in Texas and I keep getting overlooked! I've been waiting for my forever home for more than a year. I'm getting sad." Shadow is about two years old, and he weighs about 50 pounds. He seems OK with cats!! Like a typical young dog, Shadow has lots of energy and loves to play. But he does very well in his crate and can be calm. He'd be a great hiking buddy or possibly running pal. He gets along with most dogs; for some reason, he isn't a fan of one dog he knows. We're not sure why. So if an adopter has another dog, we'd recommend a meet and greet first. Shadow has been non-reactive to cats, though. In fact, we had him cat tested, and we were told, "The cats checked him out from afar, then jumped right down and started rubbing on him. He wasn't so sure about it, but he stayed calm and gave no red flags." Shadow was originally adopted from Lucky Lab when he was a puppy during the pandemic. Several months later, he was returned to the rescue because his owners were busy with their kids and had no time to train him--he was a bit of a wild child. We'd like anyone who adopts Shadow to be an experienced dog owner and continue the positive reinforcement training he's received since he was returned. We think Shadow is very smart and would love the stimulation and attention he receives during training. He'd do best in a home with a fenced-in yard and adults and or adults and kids over 15. Shadow also needs exercise and playtime. Shadow has a lot of love to give, and we'd love for him to find a wonderful forever home. He is very loyal. He's housebroken, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
Available for Adoption in Texas: Mabel! Mabel is a vibrant 6-year-old, weighing in at 60 pounds. She’s not just beautiful; she’s always camera-ready, with a smile that will light up your day. If you’re looking for a photogenic pup, Mabel is your girl – she’s a total ham! With her big personality and energetic spirit, Mabel loves to be part of the action. She enjoys the company of other dogs but would prefer not to feel confined by gates or crates when they’re nearby. If you currently have a dog at home, we recommend a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone’s a good fit! While we’re not sure how she would be around cats, she hasn’t shown much interest when passing by them on walks. Mabel is eager to please, especially when there are treats involved, making her a great candidate for continued positive reinforcement training with an experienced owner. She’d do best in a home with adults or families with older teens. House-trained, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, Mabel is all set for her forever home. Ready to add Mabel’s joyful and sweet personality to your life? Apply today at www.luckylabrescue.com!

Story
Meet Lucy Goosey! Lucy is a one-year-old, 55-pound bundle of fun available for adoption in Texas and New England! She is an active, playful girl who loves backyard zoomies, tossing toys around, and hanging out on pup-friendly patios. Lucy is a social butterfly at doggy daycare, consistently earning great notes for being friendly, playful, and the life of the paw-ty! An ideal adventure buddy, Lucy would thrive with an active family that enjoys hiking and road trips — she loves car rides and exploring new places. She’s also great with kids and would enjoy having active kiddos to play and snuggle with. One of Lucy’s cutest quirks is her love for ice cubes. The moment the freezer door opens, she’ll dash from wherever she is to collect her “ice tax” — it’s her favorite little treat! Lucy sleeps peacefully in her crate with the door open, on a cozy dog bed, or snuggled up in bed with her foster family. When they’re away from home, she settles in comfortably on the couch and relaxes until they return. She walks well on a leash, regularly checking in and sitting when stopped. She’s working on her manners and while she sometimes jumps while excited outside, a quick reminder helps her remember to sit politely for attention. Lucy loves toys but will happily collect sticks, rocks, or other treasures found outside if not provided with plenty of appropriate options. Because of her curious, playful nature, she would do best in a home without cats. After a day of fun and activity, Lucy is a world-class snuggler who’s always up for belly rubs and cozy naps next to her people. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on preventatives — ready to start her next big adventure with a forever family. Interested in adopting Lucy?
