Story
Meadow is a gorgeous LARGE doodle!! She is approximately 2 years old, fully vetted, HW neg and microchipped. Meadow is fearful of SOME men, so she needs someone with patience, as we believe she was abused, in her previous home. She absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs, crate trained, knows basic commands, though still has high puppy energy, at times. Meadow can act timid/shy when meeting new people, though once she knows you, she will be your best friend! She's a strong girl, who needs some work on a leash. We prefer Meadow to go to a home with older children, due to her size (100 lbs), and the possibility of her getting excited and jumping on a small child. If interested in Meadow, please feel free to fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Story
Annie is a precious doodle girl! She is approximately 8 years old and weighs 55 pounds. Annie went through heartworm treatment at the end of last year, and has now received the "all clear from the vet. She is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She does great with other dogs, and basically matches the other dogs energy, though she is not a fan of smaller dogs jumping up in and on her face. Annie has had no exposure to cats, since joining our rescue, so we are not sure how she would do with one. Annie loves to go for walks, though she is strong on a leash, and will pull, if she sees a squirrel, rabbit, etc. She is house broken and does not get crated, so we are hoping to find a forever home for her, where she will be allowed the same freedom. Annie is sweet and loving, calm and well behaved in the home, good with children! If interested in adopting Annie, please fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org

Story
Oh, sweet Moses! This handsome dood is ready for his fur-ever home. Moses is smart, playful, and fun. He enjoys learning new skills and responds well to positive reinforcement and treats. He loves adventures with his hoomans. He enjoys a good backyard romp and a hearty session of fetch. If it’s round and rolls, Moses is a fan! He enjoys companions who can match energy and are close to his size (40-lbs or larger). He enjoys a rough-and-tumble style of play. He is a medium-energy dude with bursts of extra enthusiasm. He loves meeting new people. Who can resist that fuzzy face? Moses’s eyes speak to the wisdom gained through life experience. Moses has had a few hard knocks and has spent some time with our training partner learning how to trust humans after they’ve let him down. He will need extended time to decompress and to establish trust with his family. Once he trusts you, he’s a terrific, loyal companion. He’s no puppy to be trifled with; he is looking for a partnership with his family. He needs rescue-savvy, experienced owners who are willing to continue working with his trainer to ensure he successfully transitions to his home. For this reason, potential adopters must live in the DFW area and be willing to work with his trainer through his transition and decompression. Moses’s adoption fee is $400. He is HW negative, current on all HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Moses a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are local to the DFW area, please click here: https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/copy-of-adoptable-doodle-dog-1 and fill out an application.

Story
HI guys.. I am Astro.... I am looking for a family to adopt me this Holiday season. I would make a GREAT addition to your family. My best qualities are.. I am always excited to see you... I love unconditionally..... I dance for food and yummy snacks... Because I am 6 years old I am already kennel and house trained...I actually put myself to bed in the kennel when my foster mom stays up too late. I know some commands, but sometimes I am too excited to pay attention to them. I get along with some doggies, yes I am kinda particular. I prefer the ladies. I am staying with Kelly right now while I find my new family. Message her for a 𝙻𝚒𝚏𝚎 of lunch dates with me.

Story
Gypsy is an amazing smart girl who wants to please. She has her basic training, house, crate, sit. She is ball, food, and praise motivated. She would be best as the only pet as she wants attention all the time. She can be a little clingy but would be a great pet for a single person who needs a loyal companion but can fit into a household with a family with older kids. She loves playing ball, playing in the water, laying on the couch watching tv and snuggling or napping.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Do not be fooled by my handsome distinguished gray face. I may look like I am 10, but I am a very young almost 8 year old purebred Black Labrador Retriever with the perfect amount of energy.  I can have moments of zoomies, playing fetch, playing with my toys, chewing on bones, and playfulness followed by deep sleep, giving kisses and snuggles.  I limped around on three legs for a really long time due to a bad ACL tear and a subluxating patella which has been repaired after a few surgeries.  I am good on all 4 legs now and ready to have some fun.  I have been through physical therapy and home therapy, and thanks to Allie’s Haven, I will be back to normal in no time. Excuse me while I brag. I am really smart. I catch onto routines very quickly and like to “talk” to you when I need something. That’s right, I will whine or bark when I need to go outside; it is time to eat, time for a treat, or to go on a walk. When I get excited, I bark to let you know how happy I am. My foster family tells me I am one of the happiest dogs they have ever seen.   I do not like to be confined to a crate however, I do not need to be crated. I can be trusted for hours in the house by myself. I am housetrained, know several commands, and ride very well in the car. I am still working on leash manners and doing great with the exception of those pesky squirrels.  If I see a squirrel, you better hold tight because I am ready to chase them.  So... Probably not good around cats is our best guess. Two of my very favorite things are kids and swimming. My foster family has a 15-year-old boy, and I love him so much. I love to walk with him, hang out with him, and swim with him. Speaking of swimming, I would love to have a pool. Not only do I love water--I’m a lab, after all--but swimming helps with my rehabilitation. I will chase cats, so it’s probably best for me to have a cat-free home. My foster family has two dogs, and I love every dog I meet.   When I was in the Fort Worth shelter, the shelter named me Huckleberry, but Allie’s Haven found out my real name is Riley, so WHEN you decide that I am the dog for you, I am Huckleberry, aka Riley. I cannot wait to find my forever family! Could that be you?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 5, 2024, 11:44 pm
