Story
18 month old Mountain is a sweetheart who loves the company of other dogs and scratches from his people. He does great walking on a leash in my quiet neighborhood along with sleeping thru the night in his crate. He quickly is learning how to live in a home considering he probably never had that privilege. Mountain was saved from a puppy mill in Alabama along with 191 other labradoodles some pregnant so the number will go up. In a very short period of tme he has made great strides learning how to be a dog like playing with toys and zooming around his fenced in yard with his large resident dog  pals. It is hard to imagine that almost every experience is new to him like a dog bed, toys, riding in a car, walking on a leash, getting a treat or even some individual attention. This is why Mountain would do well with another dog to keep showing him the ropes or a family that will keep moving him forward in building his confidence with all his new experiences. He just needs a little time, alot of love and patience. Adoption Day: June 20th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Story
Adoption Day: June 13th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Meet Mole Hill (“Moe Moe”) Mole Hill is a calm, quiet, and gentle girl who is quickly learning what it means to be part of a loving home. While she may be a little shy at first, she has truly warmed up to her humans and loves following her foster sister, a Goldendoodle, around the house for comfort and guidance. Watching her confidence grow each day has been so rewarding! Mole Hill absolutely loves being outside and would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where she can safely spend time exploring, lounging, and “singing” her sweet little songs to the world. She even enjoys being outside in the rain! She doesn’t bark, but she does occasionally let out the cutest soft howl when she’s enjoying the outdoors. She would do especially well in a home with another friendly dog. Having a canine companion has helped her learn routines, become more comfortable with people, and even conquer new things like stairs. She loves to play, run around, and take cues from her furry friends. Mole Hill is doing wonderfully with house training and naturally prefers to use the bathroom outside. She already goes to the door to let you know when she wants to go out. She sleeps quietly in her crate through the night, enjoys her bath, and is quickly learning household routines. We’re currently helping her learn the doggie door, too! She appears to be on the smaller side for a Labradoodle, possibly a mini, making her a great size for many homes. Mole Hill is a sweet, gentle soul who will make a wonderful companion for a patient and loving family. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2743799##

Adoption Day: June 13th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. This sweet girl is looking for her forever family, and she has so much love to give. She loves being around people and is happiest when she's curled up next to you for cuddles. She also enjoys meeting other dogs on walks and has shown herself to be friendly and social. She walks nicely on a leash and loves exploring everything she can sniff! She's currently working on housebreaking and potty training and is making good progress with consistency and routine.  She's also been wonderful with our tween and teen children, enjoying attention, affection, and family time. If you're looking for a loving companion who wants to be part of the family, this sweet pup might be the perfect match. She has a kind heart, a cuddly personality, and is ready to bring lots of joy to her forever home. young boy ISO happily ever after! VADER NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:   Vader           Best Guess for Breed:  Lab mix     Best Guess for Age:   4 months as of June 2026         SEX:   Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    16 lbs as of 5/27/26   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:    South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Vader is Looking For:      Me and my brother Valor have loved our time growing up together, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your home and your heart for me?What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has spent time in foster care. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
