Meet Hot Plate!Hotplate is 10 months old. He has done well with potty training and learning to sit. He is a cuddle bug, just a big lap dog. While Hotplate loves to play with his toys and other dogs, he also does well at having resting time.Hotplate loves to sniff on walks. He is learning how to walk with a leash. While he doesn't love being in a crate, he will go in as long as there are treats!Hotplate is a bit of a Velcro dog. Hotplate  would love a family that is committed to training so that he can be comfortable while alone, though we could see Hotplate growing out of this behavior once he knows he is home.As a note, the foster family has an old dog who does not like to play. Hotplate has done well at taking corrections from our resident senior dog, but he would rather be in a home with another playful pup, or be the sole spoiled canine.The foster family has a family member with severe dog allergies to dog saliva and dog fur. Hotplate has not triggered any allergies in our home.Adoption Day: October 24th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:0010:30 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event-check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2860525##

Ace is a very energetic happy playful and very loving dog. Excellent as a family dog. We got ace from my wife’s sister. She had originally gotten him for herself but couldn’t keep him, so we decided to bring him in. Were looking for a home where he will have the love, time and adventures he deserves. Ace is 5 years old and full of life. Before ace it was only my wife, my other dog and myself. However the family has grown by 3 including him. The time, the energy, the upkeep, money, space and providing for all of us has become more and more difficult. To be fair to us and to him, we have to find a new family for him.

Hi, I'm Winston and I'm a very handsome boy. I'm a big boy and weigh about 70 lbs now. I'm only about 10 months old. I'm all black and am some kind of doodle. My foster mom thinks that I'm a labradoodle. I'm a very sweet boy and I love other dogs. I'm super playful. I live with other dogs and want to play with them all the time. I think that I'm still a little pup and have no idea that I'm 70lbs. I live with a 10lb puppy and have not figured out that we are not the same size. I'm a big goof ball. I love humans but based on my size and enthusiasm, it's probably best that I don't go to a home with small kids. I would probably knock them over accidentally. I came from WV where I was passed around to a couple of homes. Ultimately the nice woman who took me in, couldn't keep me. She worked long hours and I was home alone a lot. I'm already vetted, chipped and neutered. I'm being fostered in Fairfax, VA. I can be adopted to the DC metro area, the Richmond, VA area and the Harrisonburg, VA area. My adoption fee is $450. Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Sammy is a lab/bully mix, 3.5 yrs old, 45lbs, all white w/a few black marks, very dog friendly.  He prefers the company of other dogs to that of People.  He's just afraid, and he'll come around with patience and kindness. He’s fully vetted:  vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, heartworm tested negative, and very healthy.  He's very sweet, friendly, curious, active and playful, and he loves chew-bones.  Sammy is still very shy and timid of people, but he really likes other dogs and feels most comfortable with them.  He will need  a patient owner to work with him to become more comfortable around people.  He would do best with another dog in the home for bonding and for play time, and a fenced yard for exercise.  He will walk on a leash when necessary, but he's not comfortable right now.  He just needs some patient training and love, and he'll respond.  Videos are available. Introducing, Archie! Archie is about a year old and 35 lbs. He's a sweet puppy that has had a rough start at life. Despite being chained outside and malnourished for most of his life, he is super friendly with others and has so much love to give. He loves dogs, people, and has done well with cats. He is still learning to trust people, and takes a bit of time to warm up, but once he does he is a playful and cuddly pup. He would do very well with a resident dog that can help build his confidence and play with him. He is making progress with house training and walking on a leash. He's crate trained, smart and food motivated. He would love a home that continues to foster the safety, and trust-building that he deserves.
