Story
** I am currently being housed at our New York Avenue location. Come meet me at 1201 New York Avenue NE, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. If we could bottle up Reign's lust for life, well we could solve all the world's energy problems. This SUPER friendly and busy miss is so eager to meet people that she just jumps for joy. She is perpetually happy. What a great gal. Reign is a big young puppy that needs dedicated adopters to help her refine her leash walking skills- she is ready to be a student in positive training classes. She would be an A+ star! Reign also needs to gain a bit of weight as she is rather thin. Reign's last home sadly did not have time for her, but she is not looking back- just onto finding a loving, VERY active home where she can be a part of the fun and games.

Story
Male, ~1 and a half years old, 52 lbs Personality: loyal, gentle, independent, outgoing, timid, eager-to-please, mischievous, and quiet. From the pages of your favorite fairy tales to the screen of your heart, Pippen is the magical pup who's about to cast a spell on your soul with his enchanting personality and wag-tastic energy! Pippen is equal parts affectionate, playful, and brilliant. He loves meeting people and dogs, and he lives for a fun game or a deep sleep by your side. This charming boy is a fast learner and already knows sit, stay, down, slow, lay down, and no. Pippen has nailed both housetraining and crate training (he'll snooze happily overnight). According to Yelp, Pippen gives the best 2-hour walking tour of DC, paws down, and gets consistent 5-star ratings for his leash skills. He's a quiet dog and rarely barks indoors unless it's time to go outside or he hears a strange noise. Pippen adores his humans so much that his current To Do is learning how to relax while alone at home. Pippen's motto is "work hard, play hard, nap harder". An energetic boy who is as cuddly as he is handsome, Pippen enjoys nothing more than exploring the outdoors together with his people! When he's not quietly exploring the town or the great outdoors, Pippen loves a good chew toy or training session - you bring the treats, he'll bring the charm! Apply today to meet darling Pippen! ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Sarah is one smart pup and has already mastered the words "sit and "1,2,3 while on walks. Story
Female, approx. 3 years old, 35 lbs Personality: snuggler, playful, affectionate, gentle, and shy. Hi Folks, I'm Delilah and I am a four-year-old superstar with four legs and a fur coat. When you come to meet me, I am sure to wiggle with delight, as I love to be around humans. I am a stellar student, and I am tackling my training like a girl-boss. I am learning to sit, stay and master the art of playing fetch. I aced the potty-training course easily - I am so smart! There have been NO accidents. I'm not a fan of the crate quite yet, but that's ok, because my foster lets me roam around when I'm home alone and the house is no worse for the wear. If I had to say my weak spot, it's that I am learning how to properly greet other dogs when I'm out on walks. When I'm not engrossed in my studies, I love to snuggle up with my foster or curl up somewhere comfy and take a good nap so that I am ready to learn new things and earn some more treats. I would love to meet you and show off what I have learned. Let's meet and go for a walk. I will charm you with my full-body wiggle and sweet nature. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
