Story
Bella is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Bella is a gentle, sweet girl who loves to be with her people. Her leash manners are impeccable, and she loves a long, slow walk where she can sniff to her hearts desire. But she can also pick up the pace and go for a jog, if you so desire! Bella loves treats and takes them gently from your hand. Her favorite snack to keep her occupied is a bully stick! Bella still has some puppy energy and loves squeaky toys - she will even entertain herself with them on her own at times. Occasionally she gets bursts of puppy energy and then she loves to play tug-of-war with her toys and run around a little. Bella is go anywhere and everywhere pup that is well-behaved in public and always happy to tag along! Bella has been good meeting people and is potty trained. She is working on settling in her crate but sleeps well in it at night. Bella is working to grow her confidence and at this time prefers more relaxed dogs who aren't pushy or rambunctious in their greetings. In addition to her food motivation, she is responsive to a verbal "no" and redirection if she's looking for mischief. Bella is a super curious girl so she will thrive with lots of opportunities for mental stimulation and enrichment - she'd likely thrive on games that involve sniffing and other puzzles! A super sweet girl, Bella would love a home where she can lay around with her person (or people) and will even sleep in with you! ATTRIBUTES: Bella has done well interacting with other dogs. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Good with:Dogs Not tested with:Cats kids House trained:Yes Energy level:Puppy energy (medium-high) Noise level: Generally he is not a big barker (when he needs water, to go outside or sometimes when he sees people passing by the window); Due to his separation anxiety, he is noisier when crated. Hey there I'm Louie and I'm here to charm my way into your heart and home! Let me tell you a little about myself. First things first I'm a big fan of food and treats. I mean who isn't right? But for me they're extra special because I'm still a puppy and I'm working hard on growing these teefs of mine. Chewing is my jam and I'm always on the lookout for something tasty to gnaw on. When it comes to walks I'm a pretty easygoing guy. I don't pull much and I love taking my time to sniff all the sniffs along the way. I've got some basic training under my belt like sit, down and shake. Potty training? Nailed it! Just be sure to pay attention to my cues. And let me tell you I'm super treat motivated so training me is a breeze. I'm working on solidifying some more commands but I'm a quick learner so I'll get there in no time. Also, if you happened to read my previous profile it said I used to chew on shoes. Well good news! My foster home has shoes by the front door and while my curiosity wont keep me from sniffing them, I havent chewed on any shoes! Im also no longer a counter surfer! Ive got a good sniffer though, so Ill probably be in the kitchen smelling all the yummy food smells hoping some gets dropped for me. I don't like getting in my crate: I associate my crate with my humans leaving and - coupled with my separation anxiety - getting into the crate has proven difficult! I will need some extra training and patience. A consistent schedule would be helpful so I know that youre coming back to me. Because Im food motivated, my current foster mom is playing crate games with me, giving me treats when Im in my crate. Ive made some progress! I now can go into my crate on command. I still dont like the door closed or staying in there long periods of time, but foster mom thinks Ill get there soon! Fun fact: Im SO food motivated that when I see my food bowl, Ill actually RUN into my crate and will eat all my meals in my crate with the door closed. If you work from home, Im a great WFH buddy. As long as youve got a dog bed (or couch!) in your office, Ill just curl up and snooze while you work. I wont bother your calls either. If you get up to use the bathroom though, Ill probably get up and follow you. My energy level is puppy-level so I've got plenty of zest for life. I love playing with other dogs, running, fetch, tug, and wrestling! When I get excited and play I do get a little jumpy (but were working on it!). Im a tall pup and can clear a 2-3ft baby gate with no issues. Although I havent been kid tested yet, I might need extra supervision with younger kids. On the flip side, I'm also just as happy to cuddle up and snooze next to you after a good play session. Despite my size, I can curl up into a tiny little croissant! Overall, I'm a leash-trained, crate-trained, playful affectionate and eager-to-please pup. I get along great with other dogs. I would probably do best with a family who is home a lot, at least until I get this crate thing down. So, if you're looking for a goofy and loving companion to join your family, I'm your guy! My foster guardian says:"He is a handsome chap about 9 months old SMART as heck and wild about snacks. Louies love language is touch and who would blame him? with a rough start to life like Louie everyone would also want to keep a paw on your people to make sure they stay safe." Likes: Foods, treats, chewing, sniffing Dislikes: Being put in his crate My ideal home:Since Im still a puppy Im very adaptable to new environments. I might like to live with another play mate though! Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Yes Energy level: High Noise level: Lots Hey there! I'm Jingle, the most lovable ball of energy you'll ever meet, currently living it up with my foster family. I'm all about fun and games, whether it's playing fetch, splashing around in the water, or just soaking up as much love and attention as I can get. Mealtime is a highlight for me, although I've learned to slow down a bit with a special slow feeder. While I'm a huge sweetheart who adores everyone and everything, I could use a bit of help with my basic training like sit, down, and leave it. But hey, I'm eager to learn and eager to please, so I'll catch on quickly! I'm house-trained and crate-trained, and I absolutely thrive on outdoor adventures like long walks, hikes, and romps in the dog park. My energy levels are off the charts, and I'm always up for a good run or some zoomies around the yard. I do tend to vocalize a lot, just expressing my excitement for life! My positive traits include being affectionate, playful, and eager to please, but I can get a bit rambunctious and mouthy at times. As for my ideal home, I'm looking for a family that loves activity and adventure as much as I do! With plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun and maybe even some canine companionship, I'll be one happy pup. So, if you're ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures, I'm your guy! My foster guardian says: Jingle is the biggest sweetheart and looks for all the Love and Attention he can receive. He's full of energy and loves playing all day long. Jingle would absolutely love to be outdoors as much as possible and even go on walks and hikes. He loves the water and is looking for adventure all the time. Likes: Fetch, water, attention, meal time Dislikes: Nothing! I am one happy, easy pup! My ideal home: Id love a family with a yard that loves activity and adventure! Story
Good with: Dogs, older children Not tested with: Younger children, cats House trained: Yes Energy level: High Special needs and considerations: Has food allergies and needs to be on limited ingredient diet Hi there I'm Jessie! A high-energy pup with a heart of gold I'm always ready for the next adventure. My day usually starts around 7 AM with a quick break outside and breakfast. Then it's time for my favorite part - morning walks! I do tend to pull a bit on the leash but with some consistent reinforcement I'm getting better every day.I've had quite the journey in the past few months. Sadly my beloved owner passed away. At that time I was dealing with not one but two ACL tears. Thankfully my new family stepped in to make sure I got the care I needed. They welcomed me into their home ensuring I could undergo surgery and have all the time and support necessary for a full recovery. And let me tell you I rocked that recovery! With lots of love care and probably a few extra treats I bounced back better than ever. Now I'm back to my old self running jumping and wagging my tail with joy. I'd say I'm already at 100% of my prior abilities. I'm housebroken and love spending my time freely roaming around the house. When left alone I usually take the opportunity to catch up on my beauty sleep. I've lived with children adults and other dogs and I get along well with everyone once I warm up to them. I may bark initially with new people but with a little patience I'm sure to become their best friend. Now let's talk about my allergies. Unfortunately I've had some struggles with food allergies in the past but my humans are taking great care of me. I'm on a limited ingredient diet of Lamb and Pea kibble which has worked wonders for my itchy skin and upset tummy. Peanut butter is my go-to treat and thankfully it's allergy-free! So if you're looking for a sweet energetic companion who's ready for adventure and loves to explore the great outdoors then I might just be the perfect fit for you! My foster guardian says: Very affectionate very sweet overall demeanor when comfortable. She has her people and responds to them with enthusiasm always. My ideal home: A home with a yard and/or humans that will commit to taking me out for a couple miles of walks a day! Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Mostly with an occasional accident Energy level: Medium Noise level: Some, only at loud noises Hi, I'm Heath! I'm bursting with life and love, and I truly believe I'm the best companion anyone could wish for! I absolutely adore chewing on my squeaky toys, shadowing my foster mom around the house, going on walks, and having a blast at the dog park. Cuddling? That's my all-time favorite! I can be a bit shy around new people, but once I warm up, I'm a big baby! I've got a medium energy level and a playful, curious personality. I'm friendly, playful, mellow, and active all rolled into one! When it comes to training, I'm still a work in progress. I know how to sit, and I'm mostly housetrained with just an occasional accident. I'm somewhat crate trained too. On walks, I can be well-mannered, but sometimes I pull on the leash. I enjoy meeting strangers and other dogs, and I'm pretty cool with distractions like bikes and skateboards. I barely bark, only at noises. Sometimes I get a little mouthy, but I'm happy to be redirected. We're working on leaving shoes, pillows, and blankets alone. I'm making great strides every day and can't wait to find my forever home! My foster guardian says: He is so sweet and playful! Likes: Swimming, Long Walks, Short Walks, Hikes, Dog Parks, Zoomies Dislikes: Can be skeptical of new people My ideal home: Im good for a first time dog owner or a family, as long as they keep me active and play with me!
