We have had him for many years now and he loves the outdoors and is full of energy. He is crate trained and potty trained, knows his commands (leave it, off, come). Due to financial and us having a small child combined with working full time and going to school full time he is no longer a good fit for our family. He needs someone with a lot of experience with high energy dogs and a lot of time on their hands so he can be exercised. Is leash reactive with other dogs but is really good with people.needs to be crated when by himself.

We’ve made the decision that we need to rehome our dog, Winston. He’s 7 years old, high-energy, and affectionate. He loves adults and gets along well with other animals. He’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room just to be near you. However, he has shown behavior that makes it no longer safe for him to be around our kids. This decision is being made out of love—for our children, but also for Winston—because he deserves a home where he can feel comfortable and thrive. He is neutered, and he struggles with anxiety around grooming. He’ll need someone patient and experienced who can give him the calm and structure he needs. In the right environment, we know he will continue to be the loyal, loving companion he’s always been. Please reach out if you or someone you know might be a good fit for Winston. This isn’t easy, but we truly believe there’s a perfect home out there for him. Thank you for reading and sharing.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi my name is Mickey I came from the shelter they were going to euthanize me because they were overcrowded. I am approx five years old up to date on vaccines and microchipped. I have made a couple of friends at the rescue but I am not ok with small little dogs or cats, my foster mommy says if you apply for me and have a doggie we will have to do a meet and greet to make sure we both get along.  I am a snuggler, I will come sit in your lap. I love to play in the yard and search for treats as you toss them in the grass, I I will find everyone of them because I have a great nose. I love my toys but they have to be tough toys because I don't know what's wrong with some of mommy's toys, some of them just blow up and go poof and stuffing goes everywhere. I am totally housebroken and crate trained, I would love a new home and family to call my ownDo you have room on your couch for me? Or your lap?
