Story
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Sadie is a lovely gal who just turned 5 years old back in January. She had a pretty great life for the past few years, she was the constant companion to a man who'd seen 100 birthdays. Sadie's life with her old man was to hang out, listen to his stories and eat cookies. She was really, really good at the cookie eating part. When her person had told his final story and went on to the next adventure, Sadie found herself with nowhere to go, and so she came here. Understandably she was pretty upset and confused, and she may have been a good deal heavier than was healthy due to her excellent cookie eating skills, so Sadie has been kinda hanging out, processing her grief, and working on getting her girlish figure back. She's done great and it's time to find her a new person to tell her stories, take her on adventures, and let her eat cookies....uh, no, maybe carrots...lol, ok, some cookies too. Sadie's wish list in a person would be someone she can shadow pretty much all the time. She can crate, she won't melt if you have to leave the house without her, but a girl's wishlist is what it is. While you're hanging out with her, she'd like you to know she loves to play and she's over the moon happy when her person is playing with her. She loves to go on walks, she walks quite nicely with her foster sibling dogs, and she thinks car rides are pretty great too. She'd also like you to know that she does love the predictability of a schedule, she's a routine kinda gal. As far as homes go, she picks calm over chaos. She loves kids and gets along with other pets, but she'd choose an adult home over the chaos of a home with young kids, if she had her way. Cats? Sure! Cats are fine in her book. Other dogs? Mostly ok, but forward and pushy dogs make her nervous, so she'd prefer an easy going, non-confrontational boyfriend if she gets to pick. Dog parks? No thank you. Walking at Whitewater Center or Uptown? Sure, that's some good fun in her eyes.  Are you looking for a new bestie? Someone to spend your days with who will look at you like you hung the moon? Sadie might just be that dog. Do realize that she's going to need a little patience during the transition, she's a loyal gal and will need a couple of weeks to settle in, but once you're her person, she's all in. Sound like your gal? Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application, she can't wait to meet you.Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. May 25, 2023, 12:22 am

Story
KayKay is our beautifully happy Lab/Bulldog mix girl that came to our shelter so sad and depressed and not the happy girl she is here in the pictures.  Her heartless owner had allowed her to have a litter of puppies and instead of caring for her as he should, he stole her babies and dropped them at the county shelter and brought momma KayKay to us.  It was so clear she was still actively nursing her babies and when we figured out what had happened, we called the shelter and brought KayKay's babies home to her.  It absolutely brought tears to our eyes as we watched her light up with joy to have her babies back.  Time has passed now and once the babies were old enough they were all adopted.  KayKay has put back on the weight she lost while providing for her babies and she is so healthy, happy (just look at that smile that lights up a room) and ready for a life of her own.  KayKay is a Lab/Bulldog mix, weighs around 68lbs. and is fully vetted and ready for a new life and family.  She is dog friendly but prefers a calmer dog friend.  KayKay is young, about 2 years or less, and is active and would greatly enjoy a family to play with her outside in a fenced yard and go for daily walks.  If you are interested in this pretty girl that is pure joy and happiness, then please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 5, 2023, 8:30 am

Black Violet is a beautiful, sweet Lab mix girl that will love you to the moon and back if you invite her into your heart.  This dog knows how to love you and shows you a depth of affection that will make you feel so special.  Black Violet She is 4 1/2 years old and weighs 75 lbs.  She is excellent with other dogs, children, but not a friend of cats. She is fun, curious and extremely smart. She does need a fenced in yard as the hound trait in her DNA, draws her out toward the curiosity of chasing wildlife. She’s a survivor.  She’s housetrained, loves car rides and is a healthy and beautiful girl.  Fully vetted, spayed and microchipped and heartworm negative.  Black Violet is ready for a new home and a new forever life with YOU!   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you are interested in receiving an adoption application. Story
My name is Mars and I was born October 24th to a momma who accidentally got pregnant.  Me and my siblings have been living in a nice restored barn and being cared for by a senior couple.  They take good care of us but they do not really play with us or teach us things....except love and how to give love.   I am a fun boy that loves to carry nice toys around in my mouth.  I can play with them all by myself and I make all the fun that I need to make. I get along with the barn cats and I like to play with children if they come by.  I have a handsome shiny black ebony coat of fur that gleams in the sun and I have some terrific ears that go in crazy directions. My momma is a Heeler mix and Dad was a Lab mix.  I weigh about 38 pounds right now and and I will probably reach 50 pounds when fully grown.  If you would like to have me come play in your backyard and be your bestie in life then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com I promise to make you laugh and smile every single day!  I am ready now! This little girl was found with two siblings on the side of a roadway in rural Tennessee and she is looking for her perfect and wonderful home now!   We want her to perhaps go to a home where an older dog can take her under wing and show her that the world is truly good and the new family will love her.  She is 20 pounds now and about 4 months old.  She is going to be a 55 pound girl when fully grown and will have a very submissive and sweet demeanor and personality. If you would like to give this girl a terrific life filled with love and confidence please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2023, 8:30 am

Story
Hey everyone! We are excited for you to meet our sweet, silly and loving little girl Livie!  This adorable pup is 6 months old and in such a short life, she has already been through so much. No one knows where she came from. She just ended up on a strangers door step late one night. Since they were not able to keep her, the responsible thing was to find a good shelter for her.  Just a few days after arriving at our shelter, Little Livie came down with Parvo. She was rushed to the vet and hospitalized for a week. During her recovery time, she enjoyed a few weeks with a great foster family. They also had 2 large dogs and lots of cats that Livie played with. So much fun that she almost forget she was a sick puppy. Livie is back at the shelter and has completed all of her vetting. She has been spayed , microchipped and received all of her vaccines. Livie is very friendly with other animals and would really love a home where she had someone to play with. Livie is only 23 lb and we believe she is a Border Collie Mix. When she was very small, she had raven black hair. Oddly, as she is getting older, she is now growing lots of white hairs all over her body. Just another sign at how amazing and unique this little girl is!   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  if you want to make this girl your lifetime partner of love.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2023, 8:30 am

Allie was in the shelter surrendered after giving birth to puppies. She had the saddest eyes I've ever seen. I adopted her and love her but she can't be trusted with my cat. When she went to the shelter she didn't have a name and had never been in a house. She is now house trained, has a year of paid wellness visits etc. with Petfolk and is getting professional dog training. She is a good girl.

Goldie has been through so much in her short life! She deserves to get out of the rescue and be adored by a family that will love her and spoil her forever! Goldie is the BEST dog! She is trusting, loving, affectionate, playful, joyful and just full of zest for life. I have fallen in love with her spirit, and you will too! Goldie was pulled by our rescue on her last day at a high-kill shelter. She was thought to be late-term pregnant. I met her at the shelter with my two children, ages 12 and 13. She was immediately smitten with them. Her tail never stopped wagging and she gave kisses to everyone in the lobby. We took her to the vet and found out that, not only was she NOT pregnant, but she was dying of a severe infection in her reproductive system. Our community members came together and raised $3,000 to cover all her emergency surgery expenses. She went in for emergency surgery and did great. She was smiling and wagging her tail as we walked her out of the vet hospital. The staff there had fallen in love with her--she has that effect on people. She then recovered over the next month. We discovered that she is heartworm positive. Her heartworm number was very low and she will be done with treatment in the next few months. It is not contagious to people or pets, and it just requires a few drops of the treatment into her food. She is fully healed from her surgery. Goldie has completed her antibiotics for the infection and made a full recovery. She is dog-friendly and kid-friendly. She is fully housebroken, and crate trained. Goldie enjoys playing with other dogs at the rescue, so she'd do well if there are other pets in the house. She is a gentle, loving girl. PLEASE give this girl the CHANCE SHE DESERVES at the best life!!!! Please begin the process to meet her by filling out the adoption application online. It is very brief and requires 2 personal references (not family members, please). Visit www.pawsitivelypamperedpets.com and click on the "rescues" tab and scroll to the bottom of the page for the app. I hope you have room in your heart for this girl. She will only fill you with joy. She's an inspiration!!!! You can email me, Wendy, at wendymwheeler@gmail.com with questions. I'm a volunteer and soial network coordinator for PPP Rescue. Thank you!!

Bullseye is a great dog and has been with us for the oast 9 years, we are relocating to Ohio and we will not be allowed to bring him with us. He is fully trained, house trained, knows all the basic commands, not really sure how he is with other pets in the house. He loves people and kids. He would be a great best friend to someone looking to have a partner to go on walks, hikes, play fetch, etc..

Urgent need to rehome due to older dog’s medical bills We adopted rocket from a shelter about 6 months ago. He turned 1 at the end of March. He’s super sweet and great with most dogs and all people! He is crate trained and does not frequently have accidents in the home. He really would love a home with a fenced in back yard and dog siblings (he is pretty small around 33 lbs).

Story
Once upon a time there was a girl, a young and pretty little Lab mix girl, that was taken home and raised by a loving couple.  They were older and over time, first her mom died and then dad passed away and our Bon Bon Lucy was left at the vet in boarding.  She was put in boarding last February and the family paid for a while but soon decided that they just wanted her euthanized because they had noone to take her home to live with them. This sweet girl was in boarding for almost 4 months and the vet staff got very attached to her.  They called a local rescue woman with a HUGE HEART and told her the plight of Bon Bon Lucy.  She in turn, reached out to Critter Cavalry to ask for help and we were happy to help. We found her a wonderful foster family who just love this easy going 13 year old girl. They are so in love with this 70 pound girl that thinks she is only 5 years old!   She is the adoring and constant companion of the teenage children in the home.  She has an 8 year old foster dog brother who she likes very much and she is content to lay in her crate with an open door during the day as mom and dad are away at work.  This girl would be gone to heaven right now if not for a vet that cared and a rescue woman who responded to their plea to save her from a senseless end to her life that was too soon. This sweetheart is SOOOOO HEALTHY and happy and she would love a home for the next 3-5 years to just be your adoring sweetheart!  If you want a calm, housebroken, non-destructive, love of a dog…Bon Bon Lucy is your GIRL!   Please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and tell us where you live when you inquire about her.   We transport to the northeast from Nashville TN every weekend and we adopt locally to Nashville as well.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 5, 2023, 8:30 am
