Story
Meet Dumplin’ – A Little Light After the Storm   Some puppies are born with a special kind of magic, and Dumplin’ is one of them.   This sweet little black Lab mix came into the world facing more hardship than any tiny soul should. Along with her siblings—the 'Driveby Driveway Orphans'—Dumplin’ was abandoned at the end of a country driveway just as tornadoes and torrential rains loomed over Tennessee. She was barely six weeks old, scared and alone. But kindness found her that day—a loving family brought her to safety, and Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to make sure her story would be one of hope, not heartbreak.   And what a shining little light she is. Dumplin’ has been called the sweetest of her litter, and the moment you meet her, you'll understand why. Her dark, soulful eyes seem to look right into your heart, and her gentle spirit makes it almost impossible not to fall in love. She adores snuggling close, giving soft puppy kisses, and simply being near the people who make her feel safe.   Dumplin’ is growing up surrounded by children, horses, cats, and other dogs—and she handles it all with the quiet grace of a puppy who is just happy to be loved. She’s a bit smaller than her siblings, and we expect her to grow into a perfectly sized 40-pound companion—big enough to join you on adventures, small enough to fit snugly into your arms.   Dumplin’ is proof that even after a rough beginning, there’s so much joy waiting just around the corner. She’s ready to bring that joy into the heart and home of a family who will treasure her forever.   If you feel like Dumplin’ is the missing piece of your heart, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 2, 2025, 7:18 pm

Story
MARCO POLO - GENTLE SOUL   Every once in a while, a dog comes along who quietly captures your heart—and Marco Polo is one of those dogs. Just 6 months old and 40 pounds, this beautiful boy was found wandering with his sister Izzy, likely recently abandoned but still hopeful and trusting. A kind woman saw something special in them and brought them to safety—and now, Marco is patiently waiting for his forever family to see that same spark. From the moment he arrived, Marco has shown nothing but sweetness. He’s easygoing, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near people or playing with his sister. His temperament is calm and settled for such a young pup, and he seems to radiate gratitude—like he knows that love and kindness are finally within reach. He’s great with other dogs, gentle with children, and completely unbothered by the cats in his foster home. Marco is already crate trained, housebroken, and walking nicely on a leash—he’s doing everything he can to be the kind of dog someone dreams of bringing home.  His foster mom sees it in his eyes—the way he watches the door or rests his head quietly on her lap—like he’s wondering if someone, somewhere, is thinking about him too. Wondering if a family will come and make him theirs.  We know that family is out there. We know someone will see past the ordinary and recognize the extraordinary in this gentle, beautiful boy.  Marco is in Tennessee and can be adopted locally or transported to the Northeast. He’s ready to go—his bag is packed, and his heart is wide open.  If you feel the pull to give Marco the life he’s been waiting for, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Some hearts are just meant to find each other. Maybe Marco’s is meant to find yours.     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 18, 2025, 10:41 pm

Story
Chevy Girl is just one of those adorable puppies that you know is going to take of herself in life and also the family that loves her.  She is a Hound/Lab mix that came from a very remote shelter in Tennessee where no puppies leave except when a rescue comes to save them.  This little blonde/tan girl has lots of adorable wrinkles and extra skin that tells you she has some growing to do and she will.  She was born approximately February 1st 2025.  Growing like an adorable little elf, her curiosity in life is easily noticed as she explores and climbs and finds a few good sticks to chew on in the backyard.   Her fur is soft and her warm brown eyes melt y our heart when you hug her and play with her.  She is independent in a good way and is not whiny or clingy.  She has no insecurities and never makes a fuss that you are leaving her sight and gone for a  while.  She is on her way to being a 45-50 pound girl that will be an easy companion and dog to have in your family life.  She is crate trained and working on getting the potty training down when on a real schedule that she learns is reliable.   She is good with other dogs and at this young age will be wonderful with cats.  She could benefit from a fenced yard and it doesn’t have to be huge either.   If you are interested in this pretty puppy please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Critter Cavalry Rescue can travel northward as well with puppies or adult dogs or cats on a transport van that goes northward every weekend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 4, 2025, 8:53 pm

Story
This gorgeous Lab boy is 18 months old and almost 75 pounds and his name is Wesson. and from the looks of it we think he is pretty much a pure bred Lab.  This giant pup is so smart and obedient and already knows commands that he has mastered skillfully at a young age.  He loves to be taught new things and boy has he mastered the art of cuddling and snuggling up next to you on the sofa!  He loves to run and play and just be a goof ball with his brother who was found with him on the side of a rural road in the  middle of nowhere.  They were thankfully rescued before a tragedy snuffed their short life out from starvation or being hit by a passing car.  Despite the early bad start to his life, he has the most loving and fun spirit and attitude in life.  He is like a sponge when it comes to learning new commands or tricks.  He is oh so handsome as is his brother Smith.  Strong, loving, a friend to all, Wesson is great on a leash which is important because he is so strong already!  He is compliant to what his foster parents tell him to do and already housebroken and crate trained.  What an amazing dog he is and with some amazing foster parents who saved his life.  He will need a fenced yard for his own safekeeping and ability to run and play within a contained boundary of a yard. Handsome?  oh yes…and smart and loves kids and other dogs.  You will be the envy of your friends and will be proud to show off as a new family companion. If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2025, 8:43 pm

Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  3-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and a playful dog companion companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet’s age.      **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  May 7, 2025, 6:44 pm
