Spencer is a young, friendly heeler mix with a big motor and an even bigger heart. He’s smart as a whip, learns lightning-fast, and lives for treats and praise. Story
Name: Harper Lee Estimated Birthday: 02/06/2017 Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix Adoption Fee: $265 Meet Harper Lee, your new bestie. She’s a sweet, people-loving girl. At 10-years-young, she’s ready to write the next great chapter of her life with you. When her previous owner's health declined, Harper Lee was welcomed back into rescue where she's been patiently waiting for the right home to find this rare gem. Harper is a true companion who will be right by your side as you tackle getting dinner on the table. Need a sous chef? She’s ready. This people lover is also an experienced traveler who enjoys car rides and is excited to explore new places and meet new faces. Traveling is a breeze on foot as she’s a skilled leash walker, and she’s also the kind of dog that doesn’t need a fenced yard. Never one to walk away from an opportunity to socialize, Harper Lee loves befriending both dogs and cats. This lab extraordinaire would make a wonderful fit for a variety of families especially with kids. If you are patient and willing to allow her the time and support as she adjusts to crate training, she will thrive. Although she does have a bit of separation anxiety, we believe this can be surmounted with love and consistency. Her mild allergies are easy to manage. Harper Lee has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give it to. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will follow you everywhere —especially to the kitchen for her sous chef duties-she just might be your perfect match."

Story
Meet Fancy Nancy, lovingly called Fancy! Fancy is a one year old Lab who came to us from a large scale breeding/hoarding case. Over 120 labs were removed from this property, and we were lucky enough to step in for this sweet girl who needed a safe landing place and a real chance at life. Fancy is heartworm negative and fully vetted. She is about 45 pounds fully grown, with a low to the ground, slightly stout build that only adds to her charm! Because of her past, Fancy craves human affection. While she is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, she would choose her person every single time. She truly just wants to be close to you! Her foster family is working on crate training and helping her through some separation anxiety. Fancy is fully potty trained and non destructive in the home, but she does not enjoy confinement and would thrive with a patient family who is home more often than not and willing to continue her training with kindness and consistency. Fancy has already come so far! Now she just needs someone willing to give her the stability and love she never had!

Story
Want to look at this sweet face every day and just melt when he comes to love on you?  Our Sky Boy was born around Christmastime and at almost 4 months he is 25 pounds and headed to become a gentle giant of a boy.  Expected to grow to be 75 pounds this handsome pup with the most beautiful eyeliner that emphasizes his soft eyes, is ready for a family to love and to be loved by in return.  He was recently in a small town Shelter in Tennessee with his mom and sister, Sage.  No one comes to that little shelter very often and after a month or two of living there the staff reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue for help to take them in to some of our foster homes and help them find their place in life.  Easily we found Sky Boy to be humble, gentle, a little shy at first and wonderful with a busy family lifestyle.  He is great with cats, dogs, young children and only a tad shy when first meeting tall adults!  HA!  His tan coat of short fur is soft and so nice to pet.  He has lots of yummy hugs that he wants to give you and all he needs is a little encouragement and confidence building in these puppy months ahead.  He is crate trained and getting the housebreaking rules and system down pat right now.  A fenced yard would be a necessity and definitely a bonus for him to run and play safely to his heart's content.  He is very receptive to training.  Joy and laughter with a lot of extra helpings of love is what Sky Boy promises any lucky family in the future.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in receiving an adoption application or want to ask questions.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 20, 2026, 9:19 pm

Story
This amazing puppy that has the beautiful golden smile and coat of a golden color as well, is called Gabriel.  Living his first 4 months of life in a 10X 10 outdoor kennel with his other 6 siblings, this boy never has had a chance to run and play and be loved on until August 15th.  The day his life changed and that of his 6 siblings, will be a special one for Critter Cavalry Rescue.   Their hard and cruel past is behind them and now a bright and shiny future is promised them as CCR starts posting all the wonderful girls and boys that are from that litter.  They are loving, some shyer than others, but all are hungry to be cuddled, played with and offered the chance to love their humans deeply and forever.   Having a yard to run and play in has been a first ever since 8/15.  Can you imagine the freedom and exhilaration that our boy Gabriel has been feeling?  He has a little foster girl to kiss and play with and other dogs and even some chickens in the backyard.  He has been neutered and shots started and dewormings under way.  The road ahead will be a breeze compared to his first 4 months.  Currently he weighs 25 pounds and is destined to be a 55 pound adult lovebug.  If you love his smile then you will love his heart even more.  Friendly and learning all the new things about this wonderful world of good food, a dog bed, chew toys and above all, humans who care about him.  What more could make a puppy happier?  Well all that is left to top these great changes is to have a family adopt him!!!!   Could that be you!?  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  We adopt locally in Nashville, TN area where he is fostered and we also offer transportation to the northeast to families and homes that want to give our dogs and cats a better life.  Just let us know where you live!  We can get our boy there and close! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 20, 2026, 9:19 pm

Story
There is something quietly magical about Puppy Sage. Maybe it’s her soft, angelic face, or the way her eyes seem to understand you before you’ve even said a word—but everyone who meets her feels it instantly. She’s the kind of puppy you don’t just notice… you remember. Born around Christmastime, Sage truly feels like a little gift that somehow got overlooked. For weeks, she waited in a small Tennessee shelter with her brother and mom, watching the world pass by without anyone choosing her. But Sage never lost her gentle spirit. And now, safe in foster care, she’s showing everyone exactly who she is. At just under 4 months old and already 22 pounds, Sage is expected to grow into a beautiful, 60-pound companion—but in her heart, she’s convinced she’s a lap dog. Offer her a soft place to land, and she will give you everything she has—trust, love, and the sweetest snuggles you can imagine. She is incredibly gentle, wonderfully social, and has blended into her foster home like she’s always belonged there. Kids, adults, big dogs, little dogs—Sage meets everyone with kindness and calm confidence. In just two weeks, she’s nearly mastered house training and earned a glowing “A+++” for her behavior. Sage isn’t just a good puppy—she’s the kind of dog who becomes part of your soul. The kind you look at years from now and wonder how you ever lived without her.  Please email critter, cavalry rescue. If you are interested.  Our email is ccrtennessee@gmail.com  A lifetime with Sage won’t just add love to your life… it will complete it.
