Story
Let me introduce you to Minerva — She is one of the most sassy, cute, energetic, loving puppy that I have ever seen.  She’s food and treat motivated, she knows how to sit and shake, and we’re working on laying down…  She gets very excited when someone comes home or comes into the room. she loves to snuggle and definitely loves her belly rubs.  She gets along wonderfully with my other two dogs. They play and wrestle all the time. She likes cats and wants to play with them - I’m just not sure my cat wants to play with her.  I have a fenced in backyard and she loves to run run run run all the time. She’s about 90% potty train, she will go to the door when she has to go out. But still has a few accidents here and there. She is crated when no one is home, just like my other two dogs, she doesn’t love it in there, but if you pick her up and put her in, she goes in - without a fight.  She will bark when she’s first in there. But I have stood outside the door and she stopped quickly. If you are interested in adopting Minerva, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comJune 20, 2025, 9:49 pm

Story
Meet Deacon, he is a lab mix with a great personality… uh, dog-anality. Deacon is a neutered male coming in at about 45lbs of pure love. He is just a chill guy with a splash of zoomies! Deacon can jump for the sky and loves a good run in the yard, so a 5 ft fenced in yard is a must for this boy.  If you want to see pure joy, watch him when he is playing with toys, particularly squeaky toys (which is his absolute FAVORITE). Deacon is going to do best if he is the only animal or in a home with a low-energy, passive spayed female dog that is open to welcoming a new pup into their home. He is very fond of his lady friends  Deacon is also cat friendly! He may chase cats, but all in all he just wants to show his love with a little play.  Deacon was bounced around a bit before he went to his foster home so he’s learning to love and trust again. Due to that he can be slow to warm up, but once you are his person - he desires nothing more than to be by your side as your furry companion… and have squeaky toys. Don’t forget the squeaky toys! Deacon is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has completed training with multiple trainers learning new things & preparing him for his new home. Deacon is still figuring out the world and will need someone who will be patient and give him some extra TLC… he can't just be thrown into new situations and expect to thrive. He is getting better & continuing to learn more everyday.  Note: The training he received comes with lifetime training touch ups (adoption location dependent). Once he has settled in, the trainer will provide you with training sessions to help acclimate him to his new home, they also provide group training sessions most Saturdays at local parks.  If you think Deacon would make a good addition to your family, fill out an application at lastdaydogs.com  June 28, 2025, 4:25 pm

Story
Meet Charlie – A Gentle Soul Seeking Safety & Serenity Charlie is a soft-eyed, sensitive pup who’s looking for something rare and special – a quiet, laid-back home where he can simply be. At his core, Charlie is a dog who finds peace in the presence of other dogs, not people. He doesn’t crave snuggles or attention. In fact, humans make him very nervous. What he does need is patience, understanding, and the freedom to come around on his own terms. Charlie’s ideal home includes: Another calm, confident dog to show him the ropes No children – he needs a kid-free space A fully fenced yard with a doggy door, so he can come and go without pressure Outdoor and indoor shelter options – think cozy doghouses or crates where he can retreat and feel safe He’s not going to be your couch cuddle buddy or your shadow around the house. But if you’re the kind of person who respects space, moves slowly, and believes that trust is earned – Charlie might just be your heart dog. He may never be the life of the party, but he deserves a home that honors who he is – not who he’s expected to be. Could you be the calm in Charlie’s world? #AdoptCharlie #SafeSpaceNeeded #NotEveryDogWantsToSnuggle #RespectAndPatience   —————————————————————————————————————- A Note from Charlie Hi there. I’m Charlie. I’m not like most dogs you’ll read about. I’m not going to greet you at the door with tail wags or crawl into your lap for snuggles. Honestly? People make me really nervous. I’ve learned to keep my distance because it’s the only way I know how to feel safe. But I do like other dogs. They help me feel a little braver, a little more at ease. So if you’ve got a calm, confident pup already, that would really help me settle in. I’m looking for a very quiet, laid-back home with no kids and no chaos. I need someone patient—someone who will let me do my thing and not expect too much. I probably won’t come running when you call, and I might not even want to be touched for a while… or ever. I just need the space to exist without pressure. A fenced yard with a doggy door would be perfect. That way I can come and go as I please. If you could set up a comfy little shelter inside and maybe another outside, that would make me feel even safer. I like to have options. I know I’m not what most people are looking for. I’m not a cuddler or a best friend—at least not yet. But if you’re the kind of person who understands that dogs like me exist… who doesn’t need constant affection… and who believes that trust should never be rushed—then maybe you’re my kind of human. And maybe, just maybe, I could learn to trust you in time. —Charlie #AdoptCharlie #SafeSpacesOnly #TrustTakesTime #LoveMeAsIAm If you are interested in Charlie, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comJune 16, 2025, 8:54 am
