Story
Pepper Sister to Zander Lab/Hound Mix Female 1 1/2 yrs old Pepper is one of the sweetest girls who I have the honor of fostering. She is waiting for her perfect home and family to come scoop her up and take her to be part of their family. This beautiful girl has the sweetest demeanor, not one bad bone in her body. She does great with other dogs, cats and children. She has been raise with toddlers under the age of six years old. Peppers favorite part of the day is when she’s able to play with her foster siblings. She still has lots of puppy left in her so her puppy energy is still there and she loved every minute of it.. for more information on our sweet little girl please DM the page and we will get back to you as soon as possible Thank you

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Affectionate girl looking for a loving home with canine companion Phoebe is a loving, playful and smart girl. She adores affection from her people and is content just being in the same room (she prides herself on being a great companion for someone working from home). When she’s not laying nearby, some of her favorite activities include fetching her pink ball in the yard, squeaking and prancing her toys around the house, playing with her foster siblings, watching squirrels through the window, taking walks in the neighborhood and cooling off with water on warmer days! Phoebe likes to welcome each day and shares her excitement with a little singing in the morning. She’s always ready for meal time and is very food motivated, which makes her very attentive when training and quick to learn new tricks. Phoebe knows basic obedience, such as sit, stay, shake, stay and fetch. Phoebe partakes in lots of kisses, snuggles and zoomies with her canine pals.   Phoebe seeks a forever home where she can be someone’s companion as well as have a canine sibling(s) to keep her company. Phoebe does best in a calm environment with a routine. Since Phoebe startles easily and experiences anxiety with lots of commotion, she’s looking for a family with grown kids or adults. Phoebe can be timid and feel unsure with new people at first; however, she feels more secure when she can follow the lead of her canine pals and is very affectionate once she’s warmed up. Phoebe is looking for a loving home that can be patient with her and continue to work with her on her confidence level around new people. She would also do best in a home with a confident dog(s) that can be a positive role model for her.    Phoebe is house-trained and well-mannered in the home. Since she’s young, she hopes to find an individual or family that can take her for walks, play fetch, swim, etc. A fenced in yard (physical fence only) is required so that she has a safe space to run and play freely.    Phoebe is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Phoebe does not have experience with cats. Click here to watch a video of Phoebe.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I’m Tippy, or Tip for short. I am a lovable and energetic ball of fluff who loves squeaky toys, playing with my sisters, and scampering off to find an adventure! A fun fact about me is that no one knew I was in my mommy’s tummy when CARE first found her, and I gave everyone quite a shock when I appeared under my foster parents’ kitchen table! I’ve grown a lot since then, and will be ready to find my own fur-ever home in mid-to-late April. My mom is a Labrador-Collie mix with a great temperament and brains to match! No one knows who my father is, so your guess is as good as mine. My mom weighs about 65 pounds, so that’s probably what I’ll weigh too. I may not inherit her intelligence, but I am eager to please and try hard! I would do best in a household with no small children (any children must be 8 years or older) and someone that has the time and energy to do my favorite thing – play! I am used to playing with my sisters and mom, so I am fine with other dogs (I still don’t know what a cat is though). I will also definitely want a fenced in yard when I get older. I would be a great addition to a family, or for one person who has the energy to keep up with me!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Story
Hello everyone! This is Biscuit. Biscuit came to us due to his previous owners developing allergies to him. Biscuit is a fun, loving and energetic young pup who just wants a forever family who can spoil him rotten and offer plenty of cozy beds and yummy treats. Biscuit is still a puppy and as with any young dog, we recommend getting him into the routine of some basic at-home training to help him grow into the best dog that he can be! If you have any questions about Biscuit, please ask to speak with staff!

Story
Well, I guess it is time for me to finally leave foster care. Although I love it here & am very, very comfortable, my foster mom told me she can not continue to save dogs if I stay & I know I have long lost cousins that still need saving! So I am ready for my forever couch... I mean home! My name is Charlie and I am the longest resident of It Takes A Village Rescue. I take that title very, very seriously but my foster mom says I shouldn't as forever is much better than foster! I am sweet, cuddly & am the perfect boy to start of cozy season with! I love humans... they are so cool! I mean, who doesn't! I need to tell you a couple things that my foster mom says are good boy things... I am house trained & crate trained! I am way better than a puppy who still pottys inside.. that is so last year. Looking for a loyal companion who loves long walks on the beach, netflix and cuddles?! Well, I am your boy! I would love a fenced yard & to be either the only dog in the house or with a submissive female dog... I just want all your attention! That really should not be too much to ask for a handsome boy like me! Right?! Please apply to adopt me, I would love a home for Christmas! Story
Dude was found on the side of the road in very poor condition by a vet tech technicians and has been fostered with a veterinarian for the last couple of months. He is much healthier now, fully vaccinated and neutered. Dude is a super smart, higher energy and who would love a house to be a jogging partner or someone who will throw a ball again and again. Dude is highly food motivated so he is easy to train, but he is still only about 1 year old so he also forgets easily. He loves to chase things like squirrels and sparrows and cats. He is good with medium sized dogs but little dogs hes just too rough for. Not aggressive just doesnt realize his own size. (30lbs and up). At full adult weight, he will probably be about 50-55lbs of loving, even tempered pup. Crate trained, not averse to men or women. Would supervise around young children do to energy level. All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough.
