Earl Grey is such a sweet baby! He would love nothing more than to play and then flop down into a "puppy puddle" with his siblings. He also would not object to being carried around like a baby in your arms if it means he gets to stay close to you! He is always happy and ready to be in the action. He would do well with any lucky family!

Story
Meet Wraven, a loving, spirited sweetheart! Her favorite activities are playing fetch in a fenced yard and chewing on a peanut butter-filled Kong. If you can throw a tennis ball, you'll have a friend for life in Wraven! Wraven is an intelligent girl who loves to shake hands, and has also mastered Sit, Bed, and Drop It. She sleeps through the night without a peep, and often enjoys slow mornings in her crate. Wraven is always happy to spend time with her people, and she shows her affection with lots of kisses, cuddles, and requests for belly rubs! Wraven has interacted with young children very gently but she is a big girl who needs a family who will provide good supervision around little ones. Although Wraven has cohabitated with two cats, she loves them too much and likes to chase. Wraven is practicing walking calmly on a leash. She greatly wants to meet and play with other dogs she sees! Training and patience will help Wraven become the best walking companion. PHYSICAL Wraven has a silky black coat and warm brown eyes. HEALTH Wraven is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. HISTORY Wraven's previous owner brought her to a local shelter because of financial hardship.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Affectionate girl looking for a loving home with canine companion Phoebe is a loving, playful and smart girl. She adores affection from her people and is content just being in the same room (she prides herself on being a great companion for someone working from home). When she’s not laying nearby, some of her favorite activities include fetching her pink ball in the yard, squeaking and prancing her toys around the house, playing with her foster siblings, watching squirrels through the window, taking walks in the neighborhood and cooling off with water on warmer days! Phoebe likes to welcome each day and shares her excitement with a little singing in the morning. She’s always ready for meal time and is very food motivated, which makes her very attentive when training and quick to learn new tricks. Phoebe knows basic obedience, such as sit, stay, shake, stay and fetch. Phoebe partakes in lots of kisses, snuggles and zoomies with her canine pals.   Phoebe seeks a forever home where she can be someone’s companion as well as have a canine sibling(s) to keep her company. Phoebe does best in a calm environment with a routine. Since Phoebe startles easily and experiences anxiety with lots of commotion, she’s looking for a family with grown kids or adults. Phoebe can be timid and feel unsure with new people at first; however, she feels more secure when she can follow the lead of her canine pals and is very affectionate once she’s warmed up. Phoebe is looking for a loving home that can be patient with her and continue to work with her on her confidence level around new people. She would also do best in a home with a confident dog(s) that can be a positive role model for her.    Phoebe is house-trained and well-mannered in the home. Since she’s young, she hopes to find an individual or family that can take her for walks, play fetch, swim, etc. A fenced in yard (physical fence only) is required so that she has a safe space to run and play freely.    Phoebe is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Phoebe does not have experience with cats. Click here to watch a video of Phoebe.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I’m Tippy, or Tip for short. I am a lovable and energetic ball of fluff who loves squeaky toys, playing with my sisters, and scampering off to find an adventure! A fun fact about me is that no one knew I was in my mommy’s tummy when CARE first found her, and I gave everyone quite a shock when I appeared under my foster parents’ kitchen table! I’ve grown a lot since then, and will be ready to find my own fur-ever home in mid-to-late April. My mom is a Labrador-Collie mix with a great temperament and brains to match! No one knows who my father is, so your guess is as good as mine. My mom weighs about 65 pounds, so that’s probably what I’ll weigh too. I may not inherit her intelligence, but I am eager to please and try hard! I would do best in a household with no small children (any children must be 8 years or older) and someone that has the time and energy to do my favorite thing – play! I am used to playing with my sisters and mom, so I am fine with other dogs (I still don’t know what a cat is though). I will also definitely want a fenced in yard when I get older. I would be a great addition to a family, or for one person who has the energy to keep up with me!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Do you want an active senior dog?  Boone is the dog that is perfect for you. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BOONE? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC   Boone is a beautiful, friendly Black Lab who 12 year old and 60 pounds.  Boone is such a good boy who deserves another good home. His owner had him since he was a puppy but unfortunately his owner has serious health issues and can longer care for Boone.  They loved Boone so much, they choose to give him up for adoption so he could continue to have a great life. Boone loves humans and canines.  He loves playing fetch with his humans more than playing with other dogs. He has not been around cats or children, so we are not sure how he would behavior.  Older children would probably be best.  Boone is housebroken and has great house manners, so he does not need to be crated when we are not home.  Boone has a lot of energy for an older dog.  A fenced yard would be nice to have.  But if he doesn't have a fenced yard, he would need a daily walk and some serious play time.  Bonne is leashed trained and he is very well behaved on our walks. Boone's loves to play fetch.  You should plan on purchasing a ball launcher or have a good arm!  His love of fetch knows no bounds: hot or cold, day or night, rain or shine, he's always ready to play. He loves butt scratches, ear massages and belly rubs.  He'll join you on the couch or bed or be content with his dog bed.  Boone is looking for a family to play fetch with him and love him for the sweet boy he is.  He will need a home with another dog or with a human who is home most of the time. He is not used to being totally alone. Boone has always lived with either another dog or a person who was home most of the day.  Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    We prefer that applicants live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  Our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian is any medical care is needed prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We will consider applicants who live a bit further IF the fit is perfect for Boone. Please consider giving Boone the loving forever home that he deserves.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BOONE? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window:  https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC   Hi! My name is Cletus and my foster family says I'm the smartest puppy they've ever met! My foster mom is a positive reinforcement dog trainer so my training started early. We're currently working on basic skills like focus, sit, down, come, and leave-it. Promoting manners and patience along the way!  I'm crate, house, and potty-trained. I sleep in my crate throughout the entire night without a peep!   I love adventure! Car rides are fine by me. What's that? You wonder if I'm friendly with strangers? You betcha! My foster family is very active so I’m used to a busy home and love it! Although I love a busy and exciting home, I'm a pretty quiet doggo with a moderate energy level. I've been known to stay content in my crate for up to 4 hours at a time.    A fenced yard would be great but isn't totally necessary! I am familiar with a doggy door already so that's a plus if you have one! Being outside is so much fun! I love bonding with my humans, playing with tons of toys, and wrestling with other doggos. I'm an all-around pretty cool pup who would love an outdoorsy companion to take me on hikes and swims at the lake! Let’s go!!   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    We prefer that applicantst live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.
