Story
Jessie is a beautiful 3 year old female Lab/Boxer mix. She weighs 65 pounds, is completely housebroken, leash trained, and knows many obedience commands. She was adopted from CLE Dog Rescue Crew in May, 2022 by a senior couple whose medical needs sadly have forced them to seek a new home for her. Jessie has been a wonderful pet — very loving, very alert, is great with children and most other dogs. She loves her weekly stay at doggy day care where she leaps out of the car to go run and play with her buddies. Jessie is not a traveler — she tolerates cars and boats, but gets anxious in those situations. Jessie needs lots of room to RUN! Her energy level is high so she needs a high fenced yard. She plays hard, but when she’s finally tired out Jessie will sprawl on the couch and sleep for hours. At night, she sleeps in her owners’ room on her own bed and never makes a sound (other than the occasional snore) till someone gets up in the morning. She is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and ready to join a new family. Her adoption fee is $400.00. To apply for Jessie, please fill out the application at www.cledogrescuecrew.com.

Story
Rex is available for foster or foster to adopt while he finishes vetting. He was found under a car crying in the snow. His breed mix is unknown but has personality and tendencies of a Sloughi and resembles this breed. He is a happy and very energetic boy. He is housebroken and is doing good with his crate training. He has met a few cats and has not shown any aggression but just wants to play. Unfortunately, he plays a little too rough for a cat right now, so we are suggesting no cats. We do not recommend any children under 8 as he does jump a lot. He would probably benefit from with having a brother or sister to play with that could handle his energy level. On first meet, his energy is very overwhelming, but it's all in play. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, just wants love and to run and play! He will settle down after a while and becomes the perfect pup! No small dogs for him! If you would like to foster him or foster to adopt him. Please fill out an application at www.forgetmenotanimalrescue.weebly.comMay 29, 2025, 12:59 pm

Story
Meet Jett – an adorable, fun-loving pup who’s ready to steal your heart! ??Jett is a 4-month-old male Lab/Terrier mix who was found as a stray in Parma, and he’s been charming everyone at the shelter ever since. He currently weighs 30 pounds and is all puppy—happy, playful, and full of curiosity. On walks, he loves to explore and take in all the sights and smells. He has a medium energy level and might pull a bit on leash, but hey—he’s still learning!Jett has been doing a great job keeping his kennel clean, and with a little patience and training, he’ll be a house-trained superstar. He’s food-motivated, which will make obedience training easier and even more fun. He’s also shown a lot of promise with his fellow shelter dogs—just be sure to bring your resident pups in for a meet and greet. We don’t yet know how Jett feels about cats or kids, but we’re happy to help guide the right introduction. He’s available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can foster him in your home while we complete his vetting (neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and heartworm testing).Ready to bring this lovable boy into your life? Email us at dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out a dog adoption form online to set up a time to meet him. Jett’s adoption fee is $200.Puppies take time, energy, and lots of love—but they give it all back and then some. Jett is ready to be your new best friend. ?? Don’t keep him waiting!

Story
Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!
